I know some of you elites have tried the delta 8 thc or whatever the **** it is.

everyone I’ve encountered that has tried it says it gets you as stoned / more stoned than regular marijuana.

you can legally buy it online in flower or vape form. Even some moon rocks.

Don't bother.

Along those lines, I made some "enhanced" chocolate ice cream last weekend. miniature solo cup size servings, 15 milligrams per.

😎

Use the Chick-fil-a mobile app when asking for well-done fries. It saves you from asking for it in person. Most of the folks that work there have been taught through their lives to not judge anyway.

Picked up a bottle of Henry McKenna 10 year.

Always heard good things about.

I had a bottle before and gave away.

100 proof.

Hmm.

Have had a mediocre HMK and a terrific one. Of course, you’ll have that with single barrel. Do not appreciate how the price has jumped $15 in 2 years.

I know one thing, if you don’t order the hash browns at Tolly Ho well-done, then you’re a fuggin idiot.

CHEDDAR TOTS. CHEDDAR TOTS, A SUPER HO, AND A CHOCOLATE SHAKE. THAT'S WHAT YOU ORDER DRUNK AT TOLLY-HO YOU UNCIVILIZED URBANIST.

I swear, you cannot account for taste. GTFO with having a specific tater tot order.

You gonna specify the salinity in your salt next? "Please, you single mother who lost custody because there is currently a needle hanging out of your arm, make sure my salt is Maldon. I don't want any of that iodine hitting this refined pallatte. Mummy dearest wouldn't want me having slightly undercooked Ore-Ida made by a guy on probation for cutting his dealer's leg off."

He's a big boy and can definitely jump. Great skills and finishing ability. Able to dominate while also getting teammates involved for lots of easy buckets. Looks like the real deal IMO. Also, this is some attractive basketball being played. Back and forth, guys knocking down shots. Why can't our college team be like that?

No wonder G is so polite, I legit couldn’t figure out where it was coming from.

-I got kicked out (refused service) at Tolly
Ho for eating a cheese Fry off a waiting tray at the counter, even though it was my buddy’s.

Farrell’s doesn’t serve cheese fries, FCS.

Not to mention, who hasn’t snagged some cheese fries/tots from a buddies tray at the Ho?

Speaking of the Ho... I once worked at RPS, the 1am-7am loading shift. My buddy and I would get off work, head to the Ho and get a Double Ho w/ cheese, cheese fries, and a pitcher of beer at 7:15am. Man, at the time I was pretty sure those days were the tits. Not sure I was wrong.

Also, will you good, God-fearing conservatives out in the state smack some sense into your super majority turd state representatives already? Shut the bible thumpers up and let's get some revenue in this state. Gambol and weed. Let's go. I mean, most of us are middle aged at this point. We're busting our asses and paying our 6% to Frankfort. It's common ground. Let's GO. God Bless, man.

/rant

Make it happen. Get someone to bring a bill. That's how stuff gets done. Bet you wouldn't have nearly the opposition you might think.

11th-Hour Friday Five...

Been on a huge Fleetwood Mac kick this week. An all-hits list, but so be it.

(Stevie Nicks = young JDrum crush)

1. The Chain
2. Rhiannon (was going to fight for this to be my daughter's name had we had children)
3. Dreams
4. Go Your Own Way
5. You Make Loving Fun (maybe the most 70s pop/rock song ever. One of those that instantly transports me back to a time and place)

My lass asked me to get her the Fleetwood Mac CD for Christmas, because of some commercial or something. However every time I drive her car, which is very seldom, that CD is playing and I remember just how damn good they were back in the day. Each song brings back a random memory, none of which I’ll post here.

The Diet Lemonade at Chick Fil-A is the drink of choice. The waffle fries are easily the weakest menu item there. F the fries and get a 2nd sammie. Grilled Spicy Chicken just hit the menu, too.

Baseball heads, take a deep dive into Hank Aaron's career on Baseball Reference. Trying to figure out how the guy could hit 40 HRs, bat .300 and finish outside the Top 10 in the MVP vote multiple times. That man was disrespected his entire career. That's something baseball writers don't mention. They talk about the fans who were racist and threatened his life, but they don't talk about the jaded old crusty sports writers who never gave the man his due.

Not saying that Aaron wasn’t shafted, but maybe playing in small-market Milwaukee for ****** teams was a bigger contributing factor. Aaron did win the MVP in ‘57.

AAs did win MVPs in:

49 Jackie Robinson
51 Roy Campanella
53 Roy Campanella
54 Willie Mays
55 Roy Campanella
57 Aaron
58 Ernie Banks
59 Ernie Banks
61 Frank Robinson
62 Maury Wills
63 Elston Howard
65 Willie Mays
Etc.

Basically, for winning the MVP, you were **** out of luck if you didn't play in NYC or Chicago as opposed to being black.

Once again, Grand Padre is taking his woke *** takes in here and trying to be the white Knight. But little does he know that your boy White Wayne received a baseball encyclopedia for his 10th birthday and knows the history of the game better than anyone other than the baseball card guy.

I’m not saying racism didn’t exist, but Aaron played in an absolute stacked time. And this was at a time when they cared a lot more about batting average than they do now. Secondly, pitchers were often included in the MVP voting and often won over Aaron.

So take a few years where a black guy or minority won or Aaron’s numbers are sick.

1954:Willie Mays won.
1956: Campanella won
1956: Aaron finished 3rd. The winner was Don Newcombe who went 27-7
1957: Hank Aaron won
1958: Aaron finished 3rd. The winner, Ernie Banks. Second was Willy Mays.
1959; Aaron finished 3rd. Ernie Banks won again.
1961: Aaron finished 11th. Frank Robinson won.
1962: Maury Willis and Willy Mays finished first and second
1963: Sandy Koufax won, but Dick Groat beat out Aaron for second. Aaron had a much better year than Groat unless he was word class at D or something. EDIT: Groat’s team won the WS while Aaron’s team finished 6th in the NL.
1965: Willy Mays won
1966: Clemente
1967: Cepeda
1968: Bob Gibson
1969: Willy McCovey
1971: Aaron’s last monster year. Here’s an interesting one. Joe Torre hit .364, had 230 hits, and had 137 RBI (all led the league) as a catcher and won the MVP, but the next seven guys in order were black. Aaron had a great year and finished 3rd.

When I was a kid I would try to put together the best single season lineup from each position in history. I tried my best to put Aaron on the team, but while he was consistent as hell, he never hit over 50 HR’s and never had a year like Ted Williams where his average was through the roof. Aaron would have benefited heavily in the MVP race had they had advanced statistics though.

By the way, Eddie Matthews is a guy who got screwed in the MVP race more than anybody. Look at his WAR by season and then compare how he did in the MVP votes.

^ Additionally the players that won in 56(Don Newcombe), 60(Dick Groat), 63(Koufax) and 64(Ken Boyer) were on teams that won the NL and won the World Series.

Maybe voting took place after the postseason back then.

That post by Padre really sums up what’s going on today. Dude’s just out here casually accusing people of racism, trying to divide, trying to be on the “right side of history”. But in this case it was so easy to call him on his ********.

Americans aren’t that racist. And they’re decidedly less racist now than they were 50 years ago when white make sportswriters were consistently voting for black players to win the MVP each year. I want you to learn from this moment, Padre. Maybe it will make you a better person.
