Our only hope this year is to win the SEC tourney. We have a little over a month to get ready. So what that basically means is that we're going to go 2 straight years without playing in the Big Dance. That's a f'n travesty.

As big a mess as that bunch was, they went 22-10, ranked No. 16, advanced to the Sweet 16, and gave eventual champ Maryland all they wanted before bowing out. I think it was one of the closer games Maryland played during its run.

Tubby's recruiting eventually petered out, but my goodness, look at the raw talent he had assembled here...

It wasn't just an assembly as much as it was cultivated and grew.

My youngest daughter is getting into basketball, may invest some time into the LadyCats...err, UK Hoops or whatever they are calling themselves.

Seems like Coach Kyra has embraced basketball as it’s played in this decade and probably doesn’t blame the fans after losses.

I mean this is historic levels of suck. There isn’t hardly anyone alive that has gone their a UK basketball season this bad. I don’t think we are overreacting.

What roles did we take people out of? Taking Boston out of the starting lineup seemed to work ok.

When you lose to UGA, Tom Crean and a bunch 3* kids with one 4* freshman........isn’t it time to STFU with a narrative and just do whatever it takes to teach these kids basketball?

His kids are gone now, he has no rivals, and I honestly think he wants out of Ky as bad as some of us want him gone.

- Mentioned Nate Oats last night on Twitter and immediately someone replied with "lost to WKU". Yeah, well I'd still take that WKU team over this year's Richmond team and last year's Evansville team.

- I had kinda wondered how UNC fans felt during their crap season last year. I mean, yeah, they were missing Anthony for a chunk of it, but it still just wasn't a very good roster. And now...I know.

- The only way Cal could have made this season worse was by turning heel. If he had just been humble enough to say "I'm still trying to figure it out, it's my job to figure it out, I get paid to figure it out", people might have been a bit more forgiving. He had all summer to watch the NBA bubble action and see where the game is headed. He could have added the Kunkel kid as a third backcourt option. Did he even sniff at Mac McClung? Instead, he adds Jacob Toppin....not that I don't like Toppin, but he didn't meet any kind of short-term need at all.

- He's also a year late in finding a likely NBA escape route. All the "name" gigs have been filled in the past two years...Lakers, Bulls, Clippers, with others (Celtics/Warriors) already having entrenched coaches. None of the jobs likely to open up this year are particularly sexy: Hornets, Hawks, Pistons, etc. The Wizards MIGHT be a place that could catch his eye, but obviously less so without Wall there.

- Conference championship Sunday is the best football day of the year.

- Anyone have family experience dealing with Alzheimers and using CBD oil as a treatment? Mom's hallucinations are ramping up, and unfortunately the medicine isn't really helping yet. Been reading about CBD/hemp as a possible alternative.

Get her some Delta 8 THC gummies. They are legal and all of my brother's stoner buddies say they are great.

Really stinks man.

If Sewell is there you take him. If he’s not you draft Chase or Smith and spend some of that Atkins/Green cap room on proven OL.

Of course what will happen is Sewell will be gone, Bengals will reject an offer to trade down and reach for an OT not worth the #5 pick and use that cap room on a TE.

Why tf did he start Ware? played a total of 4 min and never came back in. Was that a new #tweak? FFS

Read the previous page. He played the first 3 minutes and we were down 5-0. He came back in later for one minute and we were outscored 6-0. That's a -11 in 4 minutes for those of you keeping score at home.

Credit to Jeff Drummond of Cats Illustrated and the Chris Sabo School of Gentlemanly Good Looks for the statistical information.

so 1-4 is the ceiling for the next 5 games?

0-5, but we manage to score 65 twice is the ceiling IMO.

Unless Clarke comes back after receiving some Russian "stem cell" treatments and the time away from the game helped him to "get it."

Then we aren't losing again and are hoisting #9 up in the rafters to much fanfare and celebration.

Was hoping we'd somehow win enough to hold off Kansas until we got **** right, next season. Guess we wont be the winningest college basketball program of all time going into next season.

Well, after LSU (who will beat UK) the next four teams are ranked so go ahead and put me down for 0-5 but yes, I agree with 1-4 as being the ceiling or the roof or the window or the wall or the toilet.

At this point, I'm not sure this team is any good even if Cal modernized the offense. I don't know why, or how, such individual talent can all perform so poorly, but they just aren't good. There's no PG. There's maybe 1.5 shooters. No one can score on the block.

Cal can't say it, but it feels like once he realized he didn't have what he thought he had, that he decided trying to smother teams with size and defense, crash the offensive glass, and hoping Boston and Clarke have the light go on to carry us was the only option. It's the equivalent of putting Bowden at QB. You can stomach that if it gets wins. But it isn't.

I guess this is the bargaining stage?

The last of the non yes men, KP, are no longer on the staff.

Now we have Retread Bruiser, Dipshit Justus and Jai Lucas ( I like him on the recruiting front but he’s not challenging Cal in philosophy).

Robes has been neutralized as he can’t talk to the players during the game. He was the X’s and O’s guy during the the first 5-6 years.

Justus is in over his head and I’ve been staying this for years. He doesn’t command respect and he’s a mediocre recruiter by Cal era standards who gets his *** kicked by Duke over and over. Seeing his dumb bald *** on the sidelines easily makes me angrier than seeing David Hobbs back in the day and that’s saying something.
