Trump impeachment seemed like more theater till a few Republicans came out in support. Not all of them did so publically but I'm intrigued to see if the capitol was really a red line for them.

Also, our basketball team is looking prettay, prettay good right about now.

If you don’t understand the strategy behind him getting impeached then you aren’t paying attention.

It’s a smart play if they can convict.
I know nuance is hard, but this is incomprehensibly stupid.

First, there is no shot Trump will be convicted in the Senate. Maybe, and I emphasize maybe, 3-4 GOP senators will vote to convict. It will still fall way short of the 2/3 needed to convict. And with Trump out of office, nobody will really give a **** anymore.

Second, it's a strategic f*ck up to tie up both houses of Congress with impeachment proceedings during a Presidential transition in the middle of a pandemic. Maybe it's been awhile since you took HS civics, but each member of Biden's cabinet needs to be confirmed by the Senate. Let's also not forget that Biden probably has an executive agenda he'd like to begin working on, which probably doesn't involve infighting about the Bad Orange Man.

This is symptomatic of the Democrats' innate (and weird) obsession with Trump. For f*ck's sake, Democrats beat him in the general, swept Georgia in senate run-offs, and are poised to expand their electorate. I mean, this dude is having his cameo in Home Alone 2 CGI'ed out. The PGA Tour cancelled the 2022 event to be held at a Trump resort. This dude isn't riding off into the sunset. No doubt the NY AG will probably be lined up to issue an arrest warrant on January 21st.

None of this matters. Instead, Democrats are spending most of their time obsessing about Trump and introducting article of impeachment to prevent him from running in 2024.

Politicians are f*cking stupid.

Trump isn't running for office ever again. I don't care if they impeach him or not, he made his bed. But, it will bring the crazies out of the woodwork for certain. I just want it all to go away.

Really don't think the GOP has that level of trust right now. No offense.

The impeachment thing is trying to get Republicans on record voting forbor against.

They vote for, they know those running in 2022 are F'd.

They vote against, they'll use that as saying they supported the riots.

There isn't true conviction guiding them here...just politics.

Even Clyburn said impeachment can wait a 100 days so Biden can get something done without an added distraction.

I like everything you said there, Kennedy. Makes a lot of sense. Seems that *something* should be done right now, though.

Maybe those outraged by kneeling should consider whether they're offended when a flag is flown at half staff. What could be more disrespectful than a literal lowering of the flag? But disrespecting troops/flag/veterans/country isn't the intent of that act, and it isn't the intent of kneeling.

How about whether they're offended by the black, white and blue police flag bumper stickers? That one could also be interpreted as disrespectful if you really care about blaspheming against national symbology.

Anyways the Florida game was awesome. Pretty sure that was the most fun I've had watching a regular season basketball game since the Fox, Monk, Bam team.

Covid finally gone. Smell is at 20%, taste at 50%.

4 years is a long way away for an obese man in his mid 70's that seems to already have some mental struggles. If I were a GOP'er I would be much more afraid of one his sons trying to pick up where he left off.

I'm no political ball either but I imagine the democrats and media outlets are going to try and keep Trump in the news as much as possible to continue to lump all republicans in with the far wing loons until the party is completely shattered. Just because he isnt the President doesnt mean he can't do a lot of damage. If anything it gives the LEFT an outlet to saying "at least it isnt Trump- WE got him out" in the case that having the Oval office, the House, and Senate doesnt bear the fruit that they want to.

Interested to see if we can control the pace some tomorrow or not. Hypothetically, we should be able to run with Bama, but we all know Cal doesn't want this group doing that.

I didn't watch the game, but they matched Tennessee's (slower) pace and beat that ***. From what I saw of them playing Auburn it was fairly up and down.

Hopefully, Askew and Mintz are more prepared than they were for Scottie Pippin Jr.

Just looking at their roster you'd think we have to take advantage of the size and skill advantage of Sarr right? Hopefully this is a game where Boston can finally start getting into his spots instead of being bumped and bullied into a shot he shouldn't be taking.

-I like the idea of Trump receiving no pension, no travel budget, no secret service. No perks of the presidency. I think he should be forever disgraced. So whatever vote has to happen for that stuff then that is what I would like to see.

-AOC has some kinda big chest beefers. I hate to think what would have happened has any of the mob run into a congressman.

-The nut woman from Colorado should be expelled.

-That second half was a work of art. These guys can be very dangerous if they can put it together. I mean, the ****** version of this team was up double digits on Kansas at one point.

It's absolutely disgusting to me that issues like these aren't very straightforward, open-and-shut cases. Jesus H Christ, if this doesn't constitute a "yay" vote out of you, then I don't know what TF ever will.
There's a political calculation many have to make. Some of these people's areas are as red as red gets. If they want to continue to "serve" no way they vote for removing him from office.

Does that make it right? Nope. Is it true? It's true. It's damn true.

Aside from this being completely ignorant, and also a threat to our national security having a former POTUS as open game, you have zero basis for this position.

Of all the crazy things that have been said, mine amongst them, having a former President as an open target takes the cake as the dumbest.

Be prepared for an armed occupation of a city or state capitol this weekend. Biden won't have time to deal with anything else for awhile.

You can't even figure out who the fu@king jedi was. But you're an expert on impeachment strategies? Makes sense.

You are right, not like I’ve ever lost an election.

Definitely best to leave it to chance when the guy just got 74 million votes and seems to be willing to take any and all action to not leave office.

Kennedy, everything you said makes perfect sense and I get it, but as a conservative I’d prefer this SOB not even have the option. I’d also prefer he not be awarded govt pension for being president and I most certainly am conflicted as to whether he deserves SS security detail, although he may need it!

I just want Trump to go away and for no one to talk about him ever again until he dies. Just pretend he doesn’t exist. That would be the worst thing you could do to him.
This. Unfortunately, he has been a gold mine for many people on all sides of Maga-dom, and there is little incentive for pro or anti-maga media figures, in particular, to let him go.

I bet you can get a great deal at any Trump Tower hotel right now. I stayed at the one in Chicago back in 2017. Nicest hotel room I was ever in by far, and that includes the Bachelor Gulch Ritz 🙌 . Rest of the city was completely sold out. Even if you’re a lib, I recommend you try it out. Consider it paying less than operational costs to **** on Trump (in the toilet no less).

Wow this is a pretty on-the-nose reference to Lard Lad Donuts mascot as seen in Simpson’s Treehouse of Horror VI.

It’s pretty disappointing that you would make this allusion to a sitting president - no matter how big of a pinko you are. The man is a retired investor living on a pension. Wow.
