Last week we slandered Tyler Ulis and this week it's the frontman for the defining college band of our hey day. Counting Crows anchored many a mix CD over the years and I'll thank you to not bring this energy into 2021 fresh out the gate. Don't do this, GYERO.
As you can see, my 2021 resolution is to not take any **** from Kenton Countians.

Uh, yeah, Ron, I'm white. I liked the Counting Crows. All of you can ring in the new year by getting pumped twice.
That post cut Bristol to the core. Ts.
I’m not mad at Counting Crows and I’ve been to a Counting Crows concert.
But they weren’t the defining band of the 90s. That would be Nirvana or Pearl Jam by a landslide. And if we’re including rap groups, OutKast or Wu Tang.

Counting Crows had two decent songs, tops. After that it was a bunch of whiny, melodramatic, ear-piercing garbage that only those who spent their collegiate years posted-up in the library yearning for the Zooey Deschanel looking prude to glance in their direction enjoy.
To list them in the top bands of the 90's shows how feeble ones taste is in music.

There's a difference between "the defining band of the 90s and defining COLLEGE band of my years in college (99-03). You can argue with what I said, but don't change it.
A "college band" is a specific thing. Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and certainly Wu-Tang Clan are not college bands.
And I don't know who said "the entire 90s" but it wasn't me. The best college band of the 90s is REM. And while I'm at it Dave Matthews Band is a better college band than Counting Crows from my era, but hyperbole is also a thing.

Counting Crows is complete blah but no reason to slander the Zooey Deschanel type.
Seeing Bristol go to the wall on New Year's day for the Counting Crows, a mediocre-at-best band, is definitely something.

Well as I said, they're the best band in history and the pinnacle of man's exploration of sound.

It’s hard to say PJ or Nirvana are the bands of the 90’s when a) Cobain was dead in early 94 and PJ’s last big album was Vs in 93.
