Def intentional. Bomb squad was on way when it blew and they evacuated apartments in the area about an hour before, so they knew it was gonna be bad. I've watched too much 24 and Homeland to think we'll ever get the real answer.
That's awful. Silver lining is it doesn't look like any fatalities so far. Still going to ruin a lot of Christmases. Those businesses have struggled through so much, and now they just get blown up. Can't imagine.
It seems like an insurance scam an RV blew up on Christmas morning?
That message to evacuate is eerie. Seems unlikely to have come from law enforcement. Evacutate from where to where? "Evacuate now" could have sent people running toward danger.

There was an active shooter to lure first responders to the scene before the bomb went off.
The evacuation message was warning people to get out of the area from the shooter.

Speculation is that ATT was target. This thing blew up right next to a major ATT network/data center on literally the least busy day/time all year for that area.
With as many resources and cameras there are downtown now, they should at least know who did it soon. If the public ever get that’s info, now that’s a good question...
Police just made statement confirming that the warning/voice was coming from the RV.
Paul wasn't a Pope. Also, only kinda an Apostle. Peter.
Is that Shotspotter? We briefly sold the systems that detect gun fire and are direct linked to EMS. The units can identify caliber and numbers of rounds fired so police have it in advance. Pretty sure Nashville was one of the first to adopt this for their downtown area public spaces.
Cool tech and yeah, that warning made the hairs on my neck stand up.
Is that Shotspotter?
Yalls mayor sounded/acted like a complete moron earlier. Laughing/giggling, "it's just 2020 being crazy," non sequiturs...might as well have had catsfanbgky give an interview off the street.
Or he could buy a prepaid burner phone on CDMA network for a cool $15. His contingency plan sounds good as well though.Wife and I are on AT&T and don't have cell service -- possibly because of the Nashville bombing. Odd. Be curious to know if that is true for other GYEROers in these parts.
My sister-in-law is so pregnant her shoes don't fit and she has a go bag with her at all times. They also have a special needs child. Her cell service is AT&T. Thankfully my brother has a Verizon phone through work he can leave with her if she's alone or he would have to stay with her every second until she starts labor to make sure she has the ability to get care.
Good times!
