Dan Monson is at Long Beach St. He was only Gonzaga's HC for 2 seasons so Few is the one who built that program.
I, too, am Looking forward to the Wildcats of Kentucky beating the Tarheels of North Carolina in a sport ball contest today.
I haven’t watched a ton of college basketball this season, but Iowa is the only team I’ve seen that has put social justice messages on the back of their jerseys. I find that extremely ironic, and I’m probably “canceled” for thinking that. Just an observation, though - not a commentary on anything.
Was just reading up on him - he was elevated to ***'t head coach in 94 under the previous guy before getting the head job until he left.
I'd argue that Few took it to the next level when he got his chance but he didn't build it from the ground up. Monson obviously didn't either but he had a hand in it.

Monson had a big hand in building the Zags, he was an assistant for years, was responsible for recruiting the player that took Gonzaga to the Sweet 16. In his first year as head coach (97), he won the WCC. Second year made the Elite 8. Went 24-10 and 28-7 in two years. In 98-99 Elite 8 he beat #2 seed Stanford, #6 Florida. Lost to champion UCONN in the regional Final. Then he effed up and took the Minnesota job and the rest is history. He never lost less than 12 games at Minnesota.
Man what a couple of exciting games in the KHSAA football playoffs yesterday. Both went to OT, Franklin County went for the TD inside the 5 on 4th down instead of kicking a FG to force a 2nd OT. Had to be gut wrenching losing by a blocked PAT. LCA has to be still feeling it today.

Boyle Co 31 Franklin Co. 28 (Game was tied 7-7,14-14,21-21,28-28.)
Bowling Green / Owensboro should be a good one, classic great offense v/s great defense.
Not to jinx them, but come on Northwestern. 10-6 leading Ohio State midway thru the 3rd. Willie nervous right now.

Helps that half of UNC's offense seems to be rainbow threes that scrape the ceiling from unguarded-for-a-reason 6'10 bigs.
