That last possession was just awful. Sarr got a decent look, but you're not trying for a contested, fading baseline jumper on the last play no matter who it is.

What a roller coaster. What a mess.

Boston and Askew honestly look and play the game like women with their ridiculous push shots and ole' defense.

No offense intended to females but my word.

Cal trusting garbage *** Boston, the apparent most “talented” guy to make the play says it all.

He’s the weakest handed player on our roster including walkons, yet was trusted to catch the primary pass and make a play.

Aside from a draft board, he’s done NOTHING to warrant that opportunity to win a ballgame.

That’s Cal in a nutshell.

I mean nobody thinks we “turned the corner,” but I agree that Askew looked the best he has ever looked in the second half.
Huge step up in his defense, which admittedly was on the lowest step possible.

I would have loved a win for all the obvious reasons, but also to reward the players for how hard they tried and the improvements, however small.

The day turned out better than any expectation I had.

In a way, I'm glad we lost that game just so Cal can't spin some ******** about how this team found its grit and fans just need to be patient.

In fairness to Cal I’m fairly certain that Boston was the last player ND was expecting to get the ball. Element of surprise and all.

I usually roll my eyes when the old heads grumble about AAU culture...but Boston is that. Like he’s totally disconnected from anything the “team” is doing.

Clarke gets to the lane so easy I am not sure I don’t take my chances with an attack, despite his ability to make awful decisions. In that spot there is no decision, look to score and draw a foul. IF they swarm you then kick out.

Still to have that shot to win, I thought it was good myself.

Good fight to make a comeback. 0 expectations moving forward and will still watch every second of every game, just might take more drinking to do so!

If he hadn’t dick fingered the pass, Askew’s tip may very well have counted and/or Sarr would have been more on balance with his shot.

Btw, you bench Sarr guys are buffoons (you know who you are)

He’s not Anthony Mason...or Davis.

But he’s still the RUNAWAY best offensive option if utilized properly, and despite his softness/weaknesses, still probably the best overall COLLEGE player (that matters, right? Or nah) on the team.

He has 35+ today if we treated him as such. He only shoots about 90% on his little jumpers.

I’m hoping for a 12-14 record and we maintain our wins lead over Kansas. Appreciate it, John. Good luck climbing back to the very top from this.
