Nobody paid attention you said SUB-PREMIUM. So I will help. Been in the car business 28 years, I do not work at a Hyundai store, but the VERY best value for your money is a Hyundai Palisade. You can get a brand new, loaded up (Leather, roof, all the bells and whistles) for $40k. That is AWD also. MF'ers are bad as, not to mention the have the best manufacture warranty in the biz.

My experience with Hyundais are that initial quality is good, but they look old quickly. That and they have less "soul" than a Camry (and I say that having driven Camrys for 10 years).

I have no desire to own a Hyundai, kia, Nissan, or any other budget made Asian automobile. I'd rather drive a beater that is dependable like Vern.

You can never go wrong with an Asian value automaker though. Honda and Toyota are very well made.

Turkey season ends today, not sure how I missed that. Guess I'll be waiting until spring season fo try and take one.

I'm all in on Christmas music right now.

Jimmy John's for lunch

Awesome day

F5 alt xmas version

Backdoor Santa - Clarence Carter
Christmas in Hollis - Run DMC
Merry Christmas From the Family- REK
Baby it's Cold - Willie and Norah Jones version

Ending 2020 real strong in my house with positive covid tests.

My Christmas spirit has taken a real beating this year but I'm fighting with today's Friday 5, all minor key edition:

August Burns Red: Carol of the Bells
Handsome & Gretyl: O Come, O Come Emmanuel
Mel Torme: God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
New York Voices: I Wonder as I Wander
Pentatonix: Coldest Winter (not technically Chrimus but it's really good anyway)

Hot take: Christmas songs in minor keys are superior.

BJ started what he calls the "Breakfast Club" this week. Great idea. Better get this team early...oh wait, damnit.

This really leads credence to the game passing by Cal. Same move as 10 years ago. He just hasn't updated the playbook at all. Dude, Jordan did that **** 25 years ago and MKG 8, relax. Like the damn Brits in WWI trying to roll in with the cavalry and getting mowed down. Innovate or die.

Didn’t Quick do the same thing the last 2 years? And Shai before that?

Starting to think it’s less player initiated than they’re leading on.

I said for a brand new one. People where throwing out Lexus, 4Runners, and other vehicles that IF bought new would be well over $40k for AWD.

We traded for a 2020 Palisade Saturday, it is loaded up and can be had for around $30K.

Nissan Rogue sucks as bad as the poster by the way, just wanted to get that out there. Right up there with Equinox and GMC Terrain as far as worst SUV's.

The wife drives a Explorer limited, me on the other hand drive a 2005 Colorado with 244,000 miles on it as a everyday vehicle. But then again I drive about 1/2 mile to work.

Coach K cancelled games v/s Gardner Webb and some other scrub, not like he ran from Gonzaga or Baylor.

Both Kia’s we owned were made in the USA.

No one said K sucks. But he is a whiny rat faced douchebag that the ESPN protects as much as possible.

Also, I’ll wager that this UK team will make the dance. If you don’t wanna take that bet then please stop being a negative *****.

Friday 5

Pearl Jam -Rats
Eric Church- Old Testament Me
Mellancamp- Scarecrow
Jay-Z- Heart of the City
UGK -Get Throwed

Anth is a horrendous TV watcher, so take his recs with a grain of salt if you're shopping for yourself. Slapstick Comedy & Superhero/Animated are his lanes.

I would drop Netlix and get HBO Max at this point.

You think I ain’t noticin’ all of these Korean / Indian / Spanish / Mexican garbage shows and movies you’re filling these menus with, NF??? FOH

But, in this house, without NF we wouldn’t be able to watch the Great British Bake-off on a 120” screen - the only way to watch it.

Candidly, there has also been more figure skating viewing on my beloved theater screen that I would’ve normally liked. Usually, I’m vehemently opposed, but viewing women’s figure skating, at life size, 6’ from your face, in the dark, can have quite a hypnotizing effect on a man.

The TCL Roku tv I purchased for my patio has a great picture and is wodie for watching a game and or streaming content outside.

As far as switching back and forth between games with an instant click... I still find value with my Uverse cable package that along with my high speed interweb access costs 110.00 per month that includes every sports channel imaginable. I also get free access to HBO Max since HBO is part of my U-verse package.

BUT CUT THE CABLE AND YOULL SAVE SO MUCH.

Heres the stuff I like about YTtv and AppleTV for sports:

While watching a game on YouTubeTV, you can always pop up a little row of recent channels below and it plays the content live in the icons.

And when the good CBS/FS1 games are over, I switch over to the ESPN app and watch 4 games at once.

AppleTV has a nice feature for favorite teams and sports as well. It recognizes your team’s games are coming on, and when close games and upset situations of your favorite sports happen, it will drop down an alert over whatever you’re watching to ask if you want to pop over and catch the end of the games.

$110 for cable and internet is a hell of a deal. If I could get that I’d go back to cable in a heartbeat.

I pay $165 for that exact same setup through Spectrum, which *also* includes my Cell Phone. I'm sure I'm really missing out on YouTube TV though.

The idea of pressing a << or >> button on a remote to rewind or fast forward a certain amount of time (let alone pressing and holding it) sickens me, as I am not an animal.

In this house we use our power of speech to get things accomplished - including fast forwarding in exact increments - not our hands.
