- This is the correct answer. If it’s bland/chewy/boring, etc then you simply did it wrong. But at the same time, we all know that it’s popularity is mainly due to the convenience.

Pot Roast isn't convenient. You have to cook the damn thing all day and then make a gravy afterwards.

Yeah it’s a real ***** to toss a piece of meat into a cooking vat, along with some potatoes, onions, & carrots and set low for 8 hours. I do sear mine first in a skillet with kitchen broquet, which I guess can be considered “inconvenient”

Who in the hell makes a pot roast and then the gravy afterwards?? comfort food snobs.

No wonder you f***ing morons hate on pot roast. Your lazy *** moms chain smoked cigarettes as they dumped everything into a crock pot and then yelled come and get it four hours later.

Real Pot Roast is a work of art. There's prep that goes into it before and after the roasting process. Jesus.

Jesus Christ. It’s f’ing pot roast. Do you have a 2 day cooking process? I bet you’re the type that has to have the chef come out and explain how he cooks you’re over priced steak.

Wouldn't the cookie section burn to **** before the brownies set? Or is the cookie dough on top?

...I'll never make these because I don't have kids, but it sounds better than pot roast.

  • Bare minimum, you have to season and sear the sides before you throw it in a cast iron Dutch oven.
  • If you don't make a gravy, what the f are you putting on it? Grease? Disgusting! Use what's left in the pan and then add flour and water to make the gravy. It's basic cooking.
  • I like NTI over sending my kids to catch infectious diseases that can render me where I can't taste or smell my pot roast.

I thought Don Lane’s camp but was garbage, but Rick Pitino’s camp right before that ‘93 season was one of the best weeks of my childhood.
Still have a 1996 signed team ball from the 95 camp. Twan was our floor manager. Needless to say he didn't spend much time there.

If you have a family member that is 90 years old and still fixing something at the holidays then you better damn well eat that **** up. I don’t care if it’s good or not. My lasses mother is 90 and makes the dressing every year at Thanksgiving and of course the whole family eats it like it is fixing to grow legs and run away. Me? I think it is the most bland thing I’ve eaten in years. However, every year I put a big ole scoop of it on my plate because MaMaw made it and I eat every last bit of it.
