Not really. Just a data point I found interesting. Obviously we’re really rolling so not going to read too much into it now. I guess it's another way of saying we lost to Bruce Weber, Tom Crean, and an Auburn coached Bruce Pearl team in March if you needed more context.

GO CATS.

When #2 blew right by Clarke and his Ole defense and dunked the ball and got T'd up, that changed the game.

I noticed several times Kansas players out top just drive right by his defender. They either got layups or our bigs tried to clean their **** up resulting in them blocking the shot, but Kansas getting the loose ball or worse, we fouled. So our bigs got in foul trouble mostly trying to help ****** defenders letting their man blow by them. Cal should have switched to zone. At the very least it would have cut down on the fouling, not to mention the conveyer belt of layups. Nope, zone will not get Devin "crazy hair' Askew drafted. Well, getting punked and giving up 5 layups per game won't either. Clarke, Boston and Askew can't guard a fence post. Play zone, protect Sarr and Jackson.

No doubt. Our program-defining, cake is fully baked, post-season runs have been derailed by:
  • 5-seed Auburn (without 16 overall draft pick Okeke)
  • 9-seed Kansas State
  • 1-seed N. Carolina
  • 5-seed Indiana

We BARELY scored 60 points against Wofford and Houston in the 2019 tournament, which is a travesty within itself.

In 2017 we struggled to beat Wichita St in the 2nd round. That game was a grind and it shouldn’t have been. Not with Fox, Monk, Bam not to mention Willis and Mulder as 3 point specialists. Oh that’s right, Mulder wasn’t long enough or a projected lottery pick so we didn’t really sprinkle in enough minutes for him like a solid game managing could woukd

Who can forget Jemarl Baker actually coming into his own and providing a nice outside 3 point shooting option only for Cal to rip the kid’s head off for fouling the 3 point shooter against Auburn. Meanwhile spaz *** Hagans got to vomit all over the court all game.

Juzang was coming into his own last year, as well.

Fans, and especially Cal, don't seem to grasp that we get beaten by players JUST LIKE THAT, all the damn time these days. It's not like we're losing to super teams filled with lotto picks.

Didn’t see anything from Wilson that I couldn’t foresee from a sophomore Juzang.

This is gonna sound weird because he routinely brings in top 3 classes but I think Cal is lazy as **** when it comes to recruiting. I think he just goes after whoever is ranked in the top 20 regardless of fit and hopes he can scream at them enough to make it work. We haven’t had a cohesive team since 2016’s class.

-I don't think so at all. I think he got a rep of not letting elite players run wild and skipping over a few elite players b/c of their people being a pain in the ***.

EJ over Brooks. 🤣

That's an all timer. No. Give me Sarr over EJ all/air.

-One and Done is fine. It just can't be THEE system. You have to mix it in with stability and skilled veterans. He has to stop the bleeding on guys like you all have mentioned, Juzang, Baker, Green, etc. Don't mind dudes going to make money, but transfers? Eff outta here. It was always going to catch up, we all seen it coming. Occasionally tough love and selling the program should trump letting them make their own decisions. Christ, Duke and Kansas seem to have an endless supply of guys I've never heard of coming off the bench to help out.

Sorry, bub. If you aren't starting for a D league squad or 6th man for the Wangsoon Bats your fourth year out of high school you're a loser and a failure.

Another thing, if you were watching, Brooks was involved in every single huddle, even out on the court. He was talking to Clarke and Boston constantly. Pretty confident he's the leader and has taken a step forward in that regard.

Honest question: how do we change the culture and get those guys to stick around? Don't recruit over them?

We've got a horrid offense and terrible roster turnover. If you're here at or near senior day, you're a failure.

ESPN has Boston as a Top 3 pick, what am I missing? Even when we looked good in the first half he was average at best, and it didn’t get better.

I know he is better than he has shown, but seriously what am I missing here because even improved I can’t see him being better than Clark.

It's about potential, not current displays of ability.

Clarke is far and away most disappointing so far. And the main reason is his handle. I was expecting a slashing effortless scorer with a shaky 3 point shot but amazing mid range game. Instead he looks like he’s about to dribble it off his foot every possession and he bricks five footers. However my big hope is Sarr and Jackson will be terrific by end of year - think they compliment each other great and if Sarr wasn’t in foul trouble we win last night easy. Still think Boston will get his jumper going soon for whatever reason.
