Woulda been nice to see if Mintz could get on track in the second half, but dude was Quicklied on the bench for the first 11 minutes. He missed a 3 to end the first half and greasyCal buried that dude.

SAD! the team needed outside shooting to fall to open **** up... alas, the same formula of driving into a packed lane and missing 50% of free throws. A signature feature of this offense.

If you ever wanted to know the "importance" of the plus/minus stat -- the only wildcat today with a positive plus/minus rating was Jacob Toppin.

I’m pretty pissed off but some positive things:

- Sarr is a damn fine 5-man. Doesn’t mean we should force feed him but he’s pretty good.

- Our freshmen wings are oozing talent. They’ll learn and keep getting better. Love that they both rebound and play more physically than you’d think.

- Jackson needs some polish but the guy is a stud who plays hard. Pretty good combination.

- Brooks knows how to play the game if nothing else, so that will give us one guy, two if you count Sarr.

- That’s about all I got nice to say.

- I never bought the Askew one-and-done **** for a second. Clarke may have to run the point. Wouldn’t bother me- give your best player the ball.

- And I am so irate about Allen sitting the bench all game that I see red when I think about it.

I get the redass this game causes, but that was a solid team, and this is Cal’s game to get the players attention. Either they listen and do as he says or they will lose a lot as individuals.

I know what you guys are saying “it’s the same **** different season” and that because it is the same lesson to be learned by a bunch of hotshot kids straight from a world they owned anyone in every game because they were so much better.

I hate that Cal does this, but I’m used to it at this point and can’t even muster up anything more than “oh F, Cal is pulling some BS don’t care to win this game” reaction.

This team is good, better than what we just saw, and I think come Wednesday there will be a lot of “if we played like Sunday we would have won” because we will beat Kansas Tuesday night.

Our guards are good, our wings fantastic, and our post play will be comparable to some of our best teams under Cal.

This game meant nothing to our coach and it showed.

If you’re making 8 million a year you better care about every single GD game we play.

And Krazy no one is bitching about the players doing young guy stuff. The overwhelming majority of the bitching is Cal’s absolute refusal to make adjustments in his offensive philosophy. A trend that continues and shows zero signs of improvement. And 100% on him. 0% on the players.

My bad, I guess I didn’t read Askew was total **** and we made 0 threes today, or that this team has 0 redeemable attributes.

See you fellas Tuesday night!

*It's a good thing I don't care as much anymore, but I did care enough to drive 500 miles to keep the streak alive today. At least one game in person every season beginning with 1987-88 season.

*Sarr will be a very good player but I'm not in favor of feeding him the ball every damn time like Cal seemed to be doing today. But, then again, what other option was there?

*Turnovers. That comes down to average to poor handles and I'm not sure that's an easy fix. Lazy *** passes I can live with because it will usually get better, but taking care of the damn basketball is a huge concern.

*This game was over as soon as Richmond hit the 3 to go up 7. Deer in the headlights look rest of the way.

*Can't wait for the 2021 NBA draft!

- This is about as unconcerned I've ever felt about a loss. Richmond is a better team right now, which shouldn't be surprising to anyone. Ten new players, practicing for 30 days together, no exhibitions...going against one of the most experienced teams in the country, expected to win a good A10 conference...okay.

Comparing it to Evansville, Gardner-Webb, etc...is dumb. I'd argue Seaton Hall was a much worse loss last year.

- Yeah Cal talks hyperbole...but usually that's later in the season and off season. The last two weeks he's basically said to pump the breaks on expectations during pre conference games every time he's had a mic in front of him.

- The only team I'd trade rosters with straight up is Gonzaga.

- Cal obviously stressed feeding the post for today's game. He's figuring this team out too.

- We'll be fine.

We made zero threes because we don’t pass the ball, and when we did have open shots we didn’t take them. Boston did that all night for some reason

Both are Cal’s fault. What we saw today is the same bs “analytics” offense we’ve seen for years now.

If Cal was in the upper deck eating nachos instead of telling every player where to stand, where to run, etc...we would have had more possessions and more points.

Our offense is micro managed to death and his stupid philosophy of limiting possessions is just flat out backwards. I don’t care what the advanced stats say, when you have a severe talent advantage like we do most of the time, you need to run your opponent into the ground and keep trying to bury them.

“Cal just rolls the balls out”

I wish he would.

The thing that bothers me is that Cal has shown that he will change the offensive system towards his team. 2010-2011 with Brandon Knight and then 2016-2017 with Fox/Monk/Bam were both total outliers in the standard offense he ran and both years were highly successful and a lot of fun to watch.

That Elite 8 game against UNC was basketball porn.

Cal needs a haircut, shave, and a suit... additionally, dude needs to remove all 2012 memorabilia from his office/locker room. The current freshmen were 9 years old when that **** happened.

Ancient history.

Time for new hunger and new results.

Yeah, let's remove everything from the Anthony Davis team...who just won an NBA title and is probably the 2-3 best players in the world right now.

Also, Cal should totally go get a haircut exposing himself to illness/program shutdown. Great example to 18 year olds on total lockdown during their first semester at college.
