There's no in-between with Mark Stoops football. Everything we do is either "holy ****, we're SEC quality, legitimately good." or "the dumbest thing I've ever seen on a football field from someone over the age of ten." There's no in-between. I can't wrap my brain around it.

part of it is that our players are f’ing morons

Well at least it looks as though Penn State might fall to 0-5. Down 24-7 to Iowa at home at halftime. Looks like the Mark Stoops rumors that where made up based on nothing will die down. We dodged a bullet there it looks like.

At least Bama stole our soul so there isn't even some naive optimism coming out of the half.

Gonna grill some steaks and do some reading. Might keep the game on at a low level. Maybe.

At least we know Saban is a good dude who won't run it up on an over-matched, undermanned team that's been fighting adversity all year and is still in mourning. I'm sure he'll take the gas off and put the subs in after halftime. 😑

Don't want to destroy the young players confidence, take a knee and get to the locker room and regroup. Maybe drink some Capri Suns and eat cookies and draw up a master plan for the second half, We got them right where we want them. They have to get tired of running, passing, and scoring, then we strike. I expect them to come out a totally different team the second half, maybe keep the final beating under 50 points should be the goal. Get em Coach Stoops, show them we ain't no push over. WE SEC,,, now.

Why would we make a change at QB? Terry gives us the best chance to win NOW, as has been confirmed by the entire staff many times over.

Offense is fine, but we have to shore up the other areas.

Allen was the play here. Guess we aren't going to call any shots to the head this game.

Why? Seriously, Allen has shown way more potential with being able to see downfield and his passing abilities. Yes, he is young and new, but if we are going to lose why not give him a chance to get some real experience under fire.
UK football: a constant shot in the foot.

Allen hasn't "shown" anything. He's 3/5 all year. I'm not saying you're wrong but he hasn't shown anything on the field. He's getting the classic golden boy treatment as the local backup option. We don't know what he is. I'd play Gatewood and Allen both the rest of the way. It'll likely be a true 50-50 position battle next year.

Well, I am obviously no football guru, but even I could see the difference Allen showed in his rare minutes. His reads were better. You could see clearly that he was calm and was able to focus in on his target without being obvious.

At least that is how it looked to me. 😊

Also, I am not play the backup person. I have great respect for Terry Wilson and what he has done for the program. I just think it is time to start preparing for the future.
