Whatever it was, it was better than no basketball.
I enjoyed it, and now at least I have faces to go with all the new names.
Gratitude for the small things is underrated.

I, for one, do not like women’s basketball. At all.

Women’s soccer is more terrible than men’s.

I do however, like women’s tennis better than men’s.

We seem to have some great personalities.
Jackson, Clarke, and Brooks never stop smiling.

Sarr seems like he already has the mindset of an eight year NBA vet. It's all business to him.

Mintz reminds me of Dominique Hawkins in that he seems like a really good genuine guy who realizes what Kentucky basketball means and he appreciates his spot.

Cam'ron Fletcher seems like he's got a little Liggins in him. I could see him getting in guy's heads on defense.

-Jackson seems to be the clear surprise of the class in the Herro, Shai mode. He looks mature and freakishly athletic. FTL windmill dunk. They kept assuming he was a starter, I can't see that unless Brooks is injured. 6th or 7th man though.

-Mintz has to be out there a lot. Didn't realize he could shoot like that. Especially since it looks like another team lacking outside shooting.

-Ware and Fletcher will need time, hope they're patient. A returning cast of Allen, Ware, Askew, Fletcher could be a nice little core to start this new program building that Cal seems to have moved toward.

-Want Allen to establish the 8th man spot to come in for Clarke or Boston.

Gonna be interesting seeing the team play with only 3 eligible linebackers today. I guess Paschal moves back or maybe a safety moves up 🤷‍♂️ otherwise we'll scrap the 3-4 and run nickel all day.

Heard we only had one team manager too.

Not that I was hopeful or anything, but not having Rodriguez is just devastating. I was hoping we could put together some sustained drives on the ground just to eat clock and keep it respectable, but without him I don’t see any real chance of that.

Is Smoke good to go? God forbid if we have to rely on AJ.

Uh, I’d rather take the L and keep Rodriguez rested and healthy for the last games of the season. Why trot him out there to get blasted when they are losing anyway?

I think I could have won that “shooting contest” no cap.

You are my favorite local high school basketball coach, and probably do have a nice, sweet stroke, but lets not get carried away. Mintz would wash you like a dirty dish. He came out ice cold, no warm up, and scored 22 first round. Several guys just came out of the tunnel and started shooting, Askew had sweat pants on, not one of them where sweating or loose.

Jackson is that ninja, he is a real one. Somebody forget to give Lance Ware the memo to take it easy? Dude was out there running around like a chicken with his head cut off. Smacking balls out of peoples hands, going up over people for rebounds. Dude is intense, but he is a 3 year guy minimum, and that is just fine by me.

Favorite part of the whole night was the little stump jumper #20 for the Lady Kats shooting lights out. She went about 5-2, 180, but can shoot the rock.

Cal with the public service message "wear the mask" I had to mute it. Not the time or place Cal.

My starting 5 :

Askew
Mintz
Boston
Jackson
Sarr

I have it on good authority and from respectable sources that Mr. Bandit would’ve beaten the scores of everyone last night not named Davion and would have pushed his 22 without question. Depends on how many money balls he would’ve hit and if his old age would’ve allowed his legs to move fast enough to complete all 5 racks.

And he’s still not the best shooter that’s posted on this page.

Settle down, Vern.
Scuttlebutt is Mintz is going to be really good.
He averaged 10 for one of the best/deepest teams in the country.

And we’re ALWAYS a guard short.

He’s a good veteran player, the kind of supporting guy we always need more of.

The Dude has started 79 games at a very good program in the Big East - sign me up.

I hate him but if Gyero were to have a 3 point shootout, I'd probably put my money on BBdk. Killa would give him a run for his money though.

I remember going to the LSU game in Baton Rouge back in 2011 when they were awesome and we sucked and all Les Miles did in that game was run student body left and student body right. We lost 35-7, but LSU could have put up 60 that game if they wanted to. Hopefully Bama goes with that approach today, but I doubt it.

With Rodriguez out I'm wondering what the RB rotation is going to look like. McClain has gotten positive reviews thus far from practice reports. I would love to see UK use him more than Rose.
