The bat technology these days is just insane. I bought my son his first “nice” bat this summer (it was $100, not $1200 tho), and the thing is light as a feather. But it absolutely crushes.

Not doubting it, but are there studies around that? Also, I thought leagues make those bats illegal. That no longer the case?

Are the Switches cool?

We have a PS4 that my son and I will play together sometimes. He likes the leggo games but they get monotonous after a while. I'm thinking the Switch might have some more age appropriate games...need something for this long dark winter ahead.

Catsfanbgky finally figured out how to space into paragraphs...and he used it to tell us our freshman aren't robots.

What a loser.

Nah, I just don't GAF to take time and space. So I am a loser for telling people not to dog cuss the young, new team if they do not play up to YOUR standards ? OK. but I wasn't really saying the kids are not robots to be saying they are not robots, more like "leave them the *uck be and let them learn, they have a lot of **** on their plate not just basketball. But hey, you can say what you want about me, I am a man, I am 40 (in my Mike Gundy voice).

Oh, and GFY, I mean that just like it sounds, no hyperbole.

For kids they are frigging brilliant. I had a PS4 until it died and currently have an XB1, and struggled to find age appropriate options for them. Scored a switch back in April and it's literally a kid focused gaming device. They LOVE the Mario games and the lego superhero games on it, and fortunately my city still has one store that rents games and they're 90% suitable for their age so far.

Can't go wrong with a Switch for kids.

Yes you can. I got one for my girls a couple years ago. They play it every now and then - very responsibly. Maybe an hour or so a week. We love doing Just Dance as a family. Perfect set up.

And then my 5-year old son figured out how to use it. That fellow wakes up in the morning and wants to play the switch and it's pretty much all he wants to do. Throws a fit when we tell him he can't play it. Clear markings of an addicted gamer - he's like the dude who did heroin one time and is now a junkie. Ha!

Bonus arcade item
Always wanted a hockey game where the players where in the plastic bubble and had the electric scoreboard like in Karate Kid.

Double Dragon at the old school sit-down Pizza Hut on New Circle Rd., Contra inside the snack bar at Spindletop, Street Fighter II at the old arcade in Crossroads (name is escaping me now), and Ninja Gaiden (pre-Nintendo version) at the Fayette Mall Aladdin’s Castle all got a LOT of my parents’ quarters back in the 80’s.

Those coin holders you could wear on a string around your neck were dope.

Arkanoid in the tabletop that you sat down at.
Pole Position in the big seated cabinet.
Whatever the leaning motorcycle game was called.

Galaga was my jam growing up.

Saw the less expensive version of golden tee at Best Buy the other day...meh. Looks cheap. They also had a table top mrs Pac-Man with 8 other games, but they didn’t have one assembled, probably tiny.

Nice little stroll through the arboretum with the Mrs today. Speaking of nerds and losers, people wearing masks outdoors...more than I thought there would be.

Used to play the hot corner. My favorite position other than pitching.

Nice thick prime ny strip from fresh market tonight. Reverse sear coming up.

Ivan “Iron Man” Stewart’s Off Road was the ******* jam.

I particularly liked how you’d get to a certain level and the other trucks would just go 500mph and crush your soul no matter how well you drove. It’s like the software guys were ready to mail it in and not write any more levels.

Best console currently in my house is a PS2 that I bought after moving to Dallas right out of UK. Still like to fire it up sometimes and beat up some hookers in Vice City. (plays games on a PC now like a huge nerd)

5 must have arcade cabinets:

NBA Jam
Street Fighter II
Off Road
Contra
Rampage

Never seen this as a kid, but did have it on the Nintendo and loved it. Will be looking for this!
