- Happy for the win. But felt like I’d just wasted 3.5 hours of my life when I turned off the tube. Went outside afterwards and demolished a rotten picnic table with a sledgehammer. Feel better now.

- May have been a good idea to keep running c-rod when we needed to, you know, burn clock and close out the game. In hindsight, putting in the third and fourth stringers and allowing a three score game to come down to an onside kick attempt was probably not an accepted best practice.

- Beau Allen at least actually looks like a quarterback (no racist). Would be nice to be able to utilize the forward pass again in a manner that doesn’t leave you astonished when one is actually completed.

- For as nice of a first half as he had, Terry sure looked like **** in the second. Back to avoiding his reads and throwing the ball over the head of the screen outlet. Happy he had a good game though - as much as he pisses me off these days, I still love the dude.

- All that said, the beginning of the game was handled beautifully, and there were a lot of moist eyes in the Commonwealth.

- Shitfire, on to Bama.

What are we looking at with this squad and a normal schedule? 7-8 wins? Still disappointing but not awful by any means.

I’d say 8. If we’d had a few cupcakes to warm up on, we win at least one of Auburn/Ole-Miss. And of course demolish Louisville to close out the season.

That was the ***** about those early games this year - we were just rusty. Although I guess everyone was in the same boat. But if we had our game legs under us no way we lose that Ole Piss game. Still pissed about that one.

I don't know **** about college football, and it's one of the reasons I like reading what you all have to say. , I'm happy with being decent most years and having some top twenty type seasons every 4 year cycle. Throw in a phenomenal season once or twice a decade, and it's cream cheese. But maybe I need to raise my expectations?

I think we're decent (yet incredibly frustrating to watch) so far this year given the circumstances. Feels like we're landing top-level talent but never at getting it for each part of a full roster. Always seem to lack something. This year we lack receivers and qb on offense for sure. I thought we had a top-notch defense; who knows after today...

Michigan sucks! My goodness, this is bad football!

I can’t believe they will get embarrassed 3 weeks in a row but here we are.

White Wayne proudly “ bragged “ on Facebook tonight about being “the guy” who leaves his shopping cart stranded in the parking lot up against your car.

His reasoning was his degree/education, and general status placing him above the nominal good-person task of placing it back where it belongs, Bc other small people are paid to do that.

Sorry for the post-game multi-posts, but as I’m a half-drunk and lonesome middle aged dad, and ergo, just watched the replay of that shitfest, I have a few more spicy takes for the group’s consideration:

* How did the ref miss our guy just getting cold cocked by that Vandy *******? The dude full out wound up and laid a punch to the face mask. If that had been one of our guys, he’s ejected and out next week.

* No idea how we got back Terry’s fumble on that early fourth quarter drive. The Vandy player clearly appeared to recover. That just means we have some bad mo-fo’s on a pile, which is quintessential Mark Stoops football. I’m sure there was at least one eye gouged out there. Well done, boys.

* Our uniforms. Jesus H Christ. The goofy *** checkerboards and failure to acknowledge our long history aside, the actual shade of the Blue is just off. It’s the same color a plastic tarp gets after it’s been out in the sun too long. Just faded and transparent looking. Pantone 540 is a much richer and deeper shade of blue. If they’re going to f**k up the design, could they at least get the damned color Blue right? Not too much to ask.

* Oh well. Life ain’t fair, and the world is mean. Keep your wicks trimmed and burning, fellas (and sloots).

not a lot pisses me off more than when I go to grocery store, see what appears to be an empty spot close to the front, only to pull up and find a damn shopping cart stuck right in the middle of the damn thing. What pisses me off even more is the “cart corral” is only about 10 feet away.

Of course this is mainly prevalent at the janky grocery store that is a block from my house, where I pretty much just go to for the basics. A lot of “White Wayne’s” and not the uppity, highly educated folks that are the main culprits.

Easily a Top 5 pet peeve of mine, and clear indicator of one’s true character imo.

To openly “brag” about it is truly special.

I make a special effort to make sure one of 'em sees me pushing mine as far (and as loud) as possible to return it.

😂Whoa, whoa, whoa... For the record, despite what I wrote, I have never once left my cart stranded in the parking lot. I was shooting for a reaction on the trend to self-check out, which freaking sucks if you have more than a few items or so. And you completely missed my joke about not wanting to do it because I spent "five years in undergrad" - that's not something I'm proud of. The Kroger was packed today, and they only had three non-self check out lanes open. I'm watching out for the consumer!

Self checkout is the only way to go. You’re not stuck listening to some minions bitching about losing their pathetic jobs or the unbelievable life they’re living. I don’t care if you’re husband has gall stones, the twins cute names or you’re not sure how you’d look blonde. Scan the groceries, punch the button, be quiet and bag my **** or get replaced by the non-paid self checkout. It’s just business not Facebook.

It is currently 3 AM and I am awake because it is storming and I have to be awake to make sure my dog doesn’t destroy the house during the storm.

She is the sweetest best dog ever unless it is storming, or there are fireworks, or construction noises, or horseflies, or booming bass noises from cars going by...
She shakes and pants and tries to escape, and destroys things, and is so obviously terrified. It is so sad, and it is heartbreaking to see her suffer like that; I feel so helpless, and over the years I have tried everything possible to help her.

Tonight I gave her two doses of Xanax, two hours apart before the storm came, and then made sure there was a fan on, a TV on, and when the storm just started, a bully stick. That worked tonight because the storm was brief. Shew!! Now maybe some sleep!

* Nice to get a win today. A silly win, but still better than a loss. I always like to hear what Coach Stoops says during the post game show. He is so honest. I am very grateful we have him; prove me wrong. 😉

* I am definitely getting tired of being cooped up due to the Corona. I pride myself on being of a generation that can do hard things with grace, and I know that I am so much more fortunate than so many others; complaining seems petty and ungrateful, and I acknowledge that, but please please, get that vaccine soon!

GYERO has kept me entertained and educated me so much about basketball and football over the years. Thank you to all the basketballs and footballs who share your insights.

* Storms appear to be winding down, maybe I can get some sleep now. 😊

Let’s go get Bama Wildcat friends!

I retired from professional grocery store clerking 25 years ago, and I’m still considerably more talented and swift than 99% of the cashiers at Wal Mart, Kroger, etc.

Self check. All. Freaking. Day.

Cart: I’m about 50/50 between pushing it into the corral or taking it all the way back inside. Leaving it stranded should warrant a fine/expulsion.

Self checkout is a godsend. To be able to grocery shop (which I actually somewhat enjoy) without having to interact with a single person?

Like I said, you’re special.

I tend to agree. Same thing with no-contact food delivery. It is nice to not have those forced, inconvenient conversations.

Withthathsaid, I fear we are going to have a near future where there are no random interactions with neighbors and other people in your community. Living in a digital bubble exclusively is not a great thing, even if it gets rid of a lot of minor inconveniences.

* With a normal schedule, this is a 6 or 7 win squad. In theory we should be able to just tack on 3 extra wins to the final total since we should beat two crappy teams and Louisville but I don't necessarily trust this team go 3-0 in those games, either.

I liked seeing the offense in the first half get back to establishing the run first and then working playaction, etc through the air. Our defense, however, is not quite as good as advertised.

Also, it is good see that after a bye week Eddie Gran finally realized that we have tight ends.

* I'd like to point out that Terry Wilson had 193 total yards with 2 passing TDS and 1 rushing TD. In other words, I was right, mfers.

* College basketball is scheduled to start in ten days. Pitino's dumbass is already campaigning to have the season postponed because of COVID outbreaks. (Matt Jones, of course, agrees with him).

I'll believe it when I see it but the world could really use a full slate of college basketball right now.

-if im grabbing <5 items self checkout. Otherwise im glad to help provide low end jobs to the young/semi-retired/others. It is a great benefit to society to have these folks gainfully employed.

-stopped watching/listening at 38-21...got done w/ match and saw the score. I chose wisely.

Yesterday was quietly a good day for the program. Back in the win column. Honored #65 properly. Wilson looked better. But big picture, a lot of young guys got PT and we gave recruits a glimpse into the future with Allen. That’s really important.

Hopefully we play Bama and Florida respectably and then take care of SC. Wrap this crapshoot of a season up and turn the page towards what feels like will be a new era for the program. Things could be *a lot* worse, and in reality the program’s in pretty healthy shape moving forward. It’s hard not to start daydreaming about Allen’s future...

What's crazy to me is that WR's were "open" when Allen was in there. Why is that? He had more than one read before making a decision. It's almost as if our reliance on dual threat guys always results in them thinking they have to make a play with their feet if read 1 (see Ali, Josh) isn't available. Of the passes Allen made yesterday, only one of them appeared to be his first read and that happened to be because it was on soft coverage.

You'd think the additional component of a passing threat would be too beneficial not to incorporate. Besides, we can still be a run first identity team under it's current makeup with Allen at the helm.

Delaying basketball would be dumb, just like delaying school openings was dumb. The reals know the smart move is hurry up and start and get some good stuff in before the Long Night approaches.

-How much would it cost to play Augusta 1 time?

Im a huge fan of Fritelli, can’t stop myself from thinking Goonies. Plus he leaves the flag in to putt, what a goof.

-You want a safe college basketball season that can be completed. Give teams centrally located places to play and run games on weekends only. Kind of like round 1 of the tourney every weekend.

It’s never going to happen, but with these rules in place neither is the end of the season. Teams waiting 2 weeks to play or practice again if anyone tests positive is just a recipe for disaster.

-Agree with SAE, that 1 drive with Beau Allen has me giddy, kid had swag!

- Let’s go San Diego SuperChargers!!!!

I dont believe Gran is the problem with our offense. I believe it had much more to do with a QB that has below average passing skills playing in the sec. Unfortunately, when barker went down we had to change into an RPO scheme due to the Towles transfer and having Johnson next in line. Mac Jones stiffed us for Bama and we scrambled to round up the best available qb at that stage in the game, a former 4 star that was in juco. Last years injury forced us further into the run first mentality with no qbs left that were healthy.

Watching Allen toss the ball on his posession gave hope for the future of a balanced offensive attack though. He's definitely the future on that side of the ball.

  • I have a few buddies who have played Augusta. The sure fire way seems to be to move to Augusta and become a caddy. They apparently use a caddy service as opposed to hiring directly, and caddies get to play one round per year.
  • The second best way is apparently to become a member of Augusta Country Club, as Augusta National calls them up for extras to round out foursomes.
  • The last - and probably most realistic for you Krazy - is to befriend a former masters Champion. Perhaps give him equity in your company for a round as those guys get access to the course.
  • I went to high school with two guys who had family members that were members. The guy I was close with’s grandfather was Hootie Johnson. I got to go to Hootie’s beach house, but I didn’t sniff Augusta. The other guy I wasn’t close with. His dad was a member. I’ve been kicking myself for not being better buddies with him as a few guys from school did get to go play Augusta with him.
