Despite him being a great overall athletic director it really is mind boggling how tone deaf Barnhart is regarding:

*alumni and booster relations
*what your everyday fan wants

The few times I’ve been invited to that K Fund room in Rupp pregame the man walks in, shoulders totally slumped and his head is face down facing his shoes. He looked like he was bracing a root canal.
Whenever he gets pressed about common matters i.e. alcohol sales in general areas or the checkerboard design on our bball unis... He gets super defensive and makes pr blunders.

THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE FUN.

I DON’T WANT THOSE UNWASHED MASSES HAVING ACCESS TO BEER AND GETTING TOO CLOSE TO THE FIELD. THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A FAMILY ENVIRONMENT.

Lighten up, MilqueToast, and hire someone who listens to the pulse of the fan base.

Maybe drop LADY KATS but yea.

They still had that one back in the late 80s/early 90s. It was outstanding.

is there anything in particular on that mix tape that made you feel like he's going to be worth a damn?

Nope. But I have watched a bunch of his games online and the kid plays with a ton of energy and doesn't need the ball to be effective -- A great trait for Calipari frontcourt players.

That mix tape is poop, tho. Although, I'd argue that eastbays and some of those other dunks are above average.

If that giant sticker looking thing was just the letters in blue on the hard wood brown it would be 10x better.

Can we not use the actual Kentucky blue on the floor for TV purposes?

My old man is a Vandy alum. Had gym class (it was required) on the floor of Memorial Gymnasium. Has fond memories of his college experience there. Roots for them when they are not playing the Cats. But completely loses his mind whenever we lose to Vandy at Vandy.

The loss to Vandy that hit me hardest was when we finally returned to #1 in '93 with Mash and Co. Billy McCaffrey led them to victory in Nashville like the very next night. I'm pretty sure he shared SEC POY honors with Mash that year.

Routed us, too.

Ahh.. Nothing quite like the rage felt watching the Cats lay a clunker on a the road against a mediocre to ****** SEC opponent.

The dead middle of winter Super Tuesday special brought to you by lack of sleep , complete and utter redass and waking up the wife & kids which makes the misery of the next morning even better!

If one more three from Colfax goes through the basket the roof will come down in this place.

Colfax, a career 18% 3 point shooter, launches it... IT BANKS IN AND A FOUL IS CALLED ON KENTUCKY SETTING UP A POTENTIAL 4 POINT PLAY.

***camera zeroes on home student section where floppy bang ******** are going apeshit with pom poms the lone game they’ll attend all season***

Nessler turns to Dykes....It appears the Cats are officially in the danger zone, partner. :uzi:

- That new addition to the court looks like that old GYERO photoshop collage that someone (Chase?) did several years ago that included the phrase "Til the Battle....is ONE" or something like that.

- Always had major respect for what Bill Snyder did at Kansas State. They'd lost 27 straight games, were the worst program in the history of FBS football, and had absolutely zero to offer. It's Manhattan, Kansas for crying out loud. Yet that guy just grinded and grinded and they had the patience to give him as long as he needed. And laid a foundation that outlasted him, seeing as how his replacement is winning at a decent clip as well.

- Richie's annual Nessler/Dykes take is a hatboggan.

- Was quick to dismiss Luke Combs as just another bro country act, but I'm coming around. There are far worse.

- Bama/LSU postponed, a bunch of other games on the ropes....these are the salad days for one Dan Wolken. What a week that guy's having.

-Reminded me of that purple jersey sig, which poster had that? Something Paul, maybe?

-Meh, games get rescheduled(just like Florida), we're already a good way through the season, they'll all get played and pokey nipples will still be posing in front of that stupid building. Hell at this point all the sports are finishing up for the year other than football.

No disrespect, but is there anything in particular on that mix tape that made you feel like he's going to be worth a damn? Can you give me like a specific time to watch. All I saw was a guy blocking shots from high school kids, a few passes I see people make every time I play full-court at the Y, some garbage put-backs, and some average dunks during warm ups.
Watch 31:26 to 35:45 of this video.

Not the maddest "I've" ever been at a game, but when the Clown was a youngster, he saw his Dad go absolutely ****ing berserk, when Cris Collinsworth caught the game-winning TD, right in front of us at CWS.

I actually thought he was going to have a stroke.

My father, was the classic anal-retentive engineer, rarely showed emotion, and NEVER cursed (in front of ME anyway) had an absolute meltdown when that pass was caught and Colinsworth started celebrating.

The string of obscenities that poured out of him (complete with hand gestures) was jaw-dropping. And then, when the other spectators tried to calm him down (other kids were around) he let loose on them.

Young HK was 😲

But I gained a new level of respect for the old man that day.

Sounds like a f’n legend to me. In 1996, worked in Florence for a year in construction. One of the workers HATED Chris. Told us he worked at a car wash in Cincy. Chris would bring his new Jeep and tip them .25

Every time I see that goof on NBC I think of Terrence and his burning hatred of a 1,000 suns for Collingsworth.

Sounds a lot like the plot of “A Christmas Story”. Nevertheless a real important time for your emotional development.
