The moment I gave up emotionally on the Bengals.
The 2015 draft pick 21. The Bengals pick 21 and the Steelers pick 22. Just decided if the Bengals pass on Bud AND the Steelers took him I was outtie. Awful ownership had taken its toll that day.

Did Bud Dupree play football for UK because I certainly need reminding just like surely everyone else here did that Avery Williamson once played at UK as well.

That's a good point. UK has never been in contention for an SEC (or even SEC East) regular season championship in my lifetime. Not once, and not even close.
Two years ago they played for a trip to Atlanta but it's whatever.

'93- took John Copeland over future HoFers Willie Roaf and Jerome Bettis
'94- took Big Daddy Wilkinson first overall, Marshall Faulk went second
'95- took KiJana Carter first overall, the next 2 picks were Tony Boselli and Steve McNair. Warren Sapp went 12th.
'99- took Akili Smith 3rd overall, the next 4 selections were Edgerrin James, Ricky Williams, Torrey Holt and Champ Bailey
So yeah, passing on Bud Dupree was clearly the worst draft decision the Bengals had ever made.

That game wasn't close and we were huge dogs going in. But even if you count that season as being in contention, that's what, 1 out of 41 seasons? Congrats! Our program for the last 40 years makes the Bengals look like the NY Yankees.
