That 2 game swing last season beating the piss out of UofL and beating VA Tech while our WR turned QB is still running for a million yards plus punching a player before the bowl game def ranks as the top KY Football moment for me. Sure,
KY has had bigger wins but the whole idea of a WR destroying teams as a running QB plus literally punching them in the mouth just takes on a whole different level for me.

The offensive line is the star of this years team.

They are doing a phenomenal job, but unfortunately Terry has regressed and the WRs can't catch or block. Best offensive line of my lifetime and the QB can't even be a game manager.

80P - I’ve always felt you were like the Jeff snedegar of this thread ..possibly the whole board

Just wanted you to know that brother ...

Hopkins is a Cat. Kid’s an inside-outside bucket-getter. Should be a nice piece. Looks like the Cats will add surging 6’9” Top 10 stud Daimion Collins soon.

Nice grab there - looks like Cal and company are on a binge again ...

reminds me that I think there’s been at least two asst coaches change on our team and I somehow missed them both.

I want CHET and I won't stand for any slander of the kid.

What a unique *** talent.

Not gonna get my hopes up or whatever because Cal wouldn't know what to do with him anyway...

Not 2018. Far superior defense and overall depth.
I agree. 2018 team runs right down the throats of 2007. The 2018 secondary was also the best in school history and would've been seriously challenged by Dicky, Stevie, and Keenan. But that 2007 UK team gave up 275 points in the last 8 games of the season.

And I'm pretty sure Andre Woodson gets sacked by Josh Allen a few times along the way.

Yeah, Woodson - for whatever reason - started to hold the ball way too long by the end of 2008. That Georgia game was infuriating. Allen would have about 5 sacks for 50 yards lost.

By the way, our receivers might be the worst collection of starting WR/TE in the SEC. They can't get open. They can't get separation. They don't block very well. Combine that with a QB losing all confidence, this offense is in disarray. We need to step up recruiting on the receivers moving forward. We don't have a Juice or a Stevie or a Timmons or even a Dicky Lyons.

2007 team was filled with NFL players:

Stevie Johnson
Wesley Woodyard
Corey Peters
Jacob Tamme
Garry Williams
Tim Masthay
John Conner
Myron Pryor
Keenan Burton
Rafael Little
Jeremy Jarmon

Not to mention, Andre Woodson, Dicky Lyons, Marcus McClinton, Trevard Lindley, Derrick Locke, etc.

Don’t be stupid.

And the coaches were better. The coaches of the teams we lost to that season:

Steve Spurrier
Urban Meyer
Mark Richt
Phil Fulmer

I’ll punt on Sylvester Croom.

But the above list is pretty ridiculous. The SEC East doesn’t have that now.

When's the last time we connected on a deep pass or had a WR break a play? Bowden at Florida is the last one I remember. Not going all "throw it deep" but that's pretty remarkable.

Wilson did hit Ali in the end zone on Saturday for a huge pass play. But other than that, I can't remember one in a long while. Of course having Bowden at QB for 8 games last season with the Sawyer Smith poo-poo platter before that will skew that perception heavily, too.

I don't understand why we never utilize our TEs. I'll maintain that Conrad would have been a good NFL player but for his condition. At UK he was primarily a blocker. Makes no sense for a ball control offense.

2007 over 2018. Th 2007 SEC, as a whole, is the best in modern day.

2018 got curb stomped by a ****** UT team. Also, feasted off a ****** UF squad. Had a really nice win in the Citrus Bowl. Played a weaker opponent in just about every 2007 v 2018 SEC matchup.

2007 beat the eventual National Champs and a really good UL team. Also, beat a quality Arkansas Cotton Bowl team on the road. Don’t believe 2007 would fade with the 2018 schedule.

Would love to see a simulation of those two squaring off.

Good point on the SEC. Even Vandy wasn't that bad in 2007. I'll always think something happened to Woodson as he just got a lot worse after the Florida game.

Ah!!!! That was the year we beat national champ LSU - I was AT that game thanks to my man
DA.....

it was unreal—- like Mardi Gras and a PENTECOSTAL TENT REVIVAL breaking out all around us !!

- Saw Chet live for the first time two nights ago. I was prepared to be underwhelmed, but the kid is a pretty special talent. He's a good 20 pounds away from being more than a spurt player, but what you're gonna get in those spurts is really, really good. And yeah, he'd be one of those Bam/KAT-type big men that Cal wouldn't be able to truly figure out in the one year he has him on campus. The kid has Gonzaga written all over him, IMO. Few will know exactly how to use him.

- Hopkins is PJ 2.0? I like the comp.

- Collins, Sallis and a sniper and I'm good.

- Speaking of recruiting, Rivals had it rolling on Twitter with CBB recruiting news until Eric Bossi recently left for 24/7. At least three weekly columns, plus other articles, all free for the taking. Knows his stuff AND can write about it. The Jake Weingarten guy gets scoops and is thorough, but his writing is awfully raw and tough to read sometimes.

- Old-fashioned candy that I only buy once every few years but always hits the spot....orange slices.

- I want Fox to get the College Football Playoff just once so that I can hear Gus Johnson call a title game.

I always thought the rumor was Gus wanted the big boy chair for at least football that Nantz has and that wasn’t going to happen so he left for Fox. Miss those NCAA tourney calls.

Arkansas was also the only other team to beat LSU that year. So we beat the national champs and we beat the other team that beat the national champs on the road. I consider that to be perhaps the greatest achievement in the history of UK football.

A handful of candy corn and peanuts tastes exactly like a delightful payday candy bar.

Is football still obviously and unquestionably more fun to follow with a brighter future than the awful bball program we have?

Very excited for this election to be in the rear view mirror.

Work has been absolutely killing me. Burned out doesn’t even begin to describe it. The younger generation has no loyalty, vision, or desire to work their way up. SAD
