In my opinion Stoops deserves a few clunker years for what he's accomplished so far (specifically his last two years), but damn, this feels like a Hal Mumme year in reverse. Our offense is soooo bad at all the skill positions. Yeah, Rodriguez has some nice runs every now and then, but he's not even a Boom Williams "have a cup-a-coffee-at-NFL-training-camp" kinda guy. Not sure what we have in the pipeline either when it comes to studs.

Using Jakes cigar bar as a meet up place with my work mentor and another work bud —

I really don’t know much about cigars but I decided to start with something that originates from the commonwealth so I tried a “black patch” cigar the other night ....wish I knew enough to say more

so I’m ready to try another bourbon outside of Woodford - what would be a good choice that’s roughly in the same price bracket?
(PS - I don’t like the rye version)

Banana pudding is one of those simple pleasures that make my pineal glad activate

Pastrami may be the best base for a sammage there is

I still don't understand the Rose hate, tho. He only ran the ball 5x. Now I agree that Rodriguez need more carries, but Rose's 5 weren't the problem.

Rose is the Isaiah Briscoe of this team. Productive, yet flawed, and makes some mistakes that lead to his production being ignored to a large extent. He's got the 4th highest ypc average in program history, which is amazing considering the flak he receives. A lot of it warranted, but still...

Try something Old Forester, Evan Williams or 4 Roses. Really can't go wrong with any of their offerings.

Solid comparison. That fumble while celebrating early was just such an absolute jackass move that it magnifies the ire.

The kid isn't a bad player but he sure shouldn't be the starter. If anything, he's just a symptom of fan frustration against Stoops and Gran.

Also, his YPC is a whack stat. He either rips off a long run when the seas part and he has a wide open lane or he is a very average rusher. There is no in-between with him.

It wouldn't matter if he ran a 3.9 40, Terry is simply an atrocious runner of the football. No vision, no feel, and I'm not even sure he's capable of moving laterally.

He's an even worse passer and decision maker. Wish we had 4 other touted quarterback prospects.

I asked Stoops about this today. He kinda danced around it, said it was more an issue of RPO reads than being indecisive/hesitant on designed QB run game. But I'm seeing the same thing you are. Doesn't matter how athletic the guy is, he's not a very effective runner.

Next time can you ask him why it seems like my 8-year old daughter could take him down with an arm tackle? Softest runner I've ever seen.

What’s always infuriated me about Turnover Terry is that we basically ask him to do nothing. Hand off most of the time. Occasionally throw a short pass or run. Pretty sure Stoops wants to see the play clock hit 1 or 2 before snapping the ball to milk every second out of the time of possession. And hes got a great D behind him, too.

Basically just “please don’t F this up.” It’s like the easiest QB job ever. And he’s still decent at best.

When Lynn Bowden can lead you to our best season in my life, why TF are we discussing QB play? Serious question. Lynn maybe threw it 40 times last season from game 5-12.

It seemed stupid last year, but it worked and our Oline got better and better.

Sometimes football is just that simple.

I'm thinking maybe that Terry Wilson doesn't run the RPO quite as effectively as Lynn Bowden.

I think Drum hit it on the head earlier (might've been on HOB) in that we just don't have a star on offense. A lot of solid players, but no Snell or Bowden. Maybe one of the young guys can be that guy?

The lack of ability to pass the ball successfully with our scholarship QBs is a bit concerning, IMO.

For what it’s worth you are two of two on matters of advice so I’ll follow up on the cigar note

(you had no idea that you had given ANY advice before had you?)

PS - I have a weird experience/story about 4 roses so I’ll prob never go there again but that’s a topic for another time ....

Terry Wilson is probably the Pookie Jones of this team (not that I’m complaining)

Not sweating it yet, the little Rivals video thing to the right that shows Peyton Manning's son / brother on loop had a headline "Updated bowl projections for UK after Mizzou loss" WTF ? As it stands, beat Vandy, drop the other three and finish 3-7 what is there to update. Guess we just win 2/3 from the big 3 left (I think winning them all is a bit much to expect) and finish 5-5, BAM, Gator Bowl here we come. 3-7 the only bowl to consider is the Toilet Bowl, and not sure 3-7 gets us in.

I thought you were nuts until I looked at the stats. Pretty much the same. Then again, when Pookie Jones was throwing for 100 yards a game in the SEC he was still in the top 8 of QBs. Different game back then.

Wayne Dougan ....you’re a scholar and a gentleman

This year will continue to be strange and I think Kentucky still gets a surprise win along the way - I know who I think it’ll be ....but I’m sports superstitious and SHANT mention their name

I think Lynn ran mad and was a “hard” kid

I THINK Terry is more of a west coast - laid back — don’t wanna say SOFTER - type runner .....but ...he’s possibility also thinking about his knee occasionally (when he isnt thinking about his non-descript wide receivers)

Get what you’re saying Krazy, but that won’t work with Terry at QB. That basically only works when you have someone like Bowden, which we don’t.
