I don't know if there's a player in Kentucky history whose life is more different because of his choice than Tyler Herro. He'd be a redshirt sophomore who's coming off the bench until he can add more muscle if he'd gone to Wisconsin.
Meanwhile I bet someday Sam Dekkar finds himself thinking about Tyler Herro carpet bombing in the NBA playoffs and starring in rap videos and he'll have to close the office door at his real estate agency in Kenosha for a few minutes to pull it together.

Funny how Randle consistently is put as tier 2 at UK. He was as good as Boogie if not better. Facts.
Cousins was extremely dominant when he played but he only played like 20 mins a game due to foul trouble and had Patterson helping him inside. Hard to compare to Randle who carried that 2014 team in the tournament and if he didn’t have cramps I’m convinced we wouldve won title.
Boogie was awesome because we still remembered Jared Carter
Randle carried his team to the Finals. Cousins had a fun nickname.
RIP to all of those fine establishments. Mary Major’s, family style meal for lunch on Sunday’s was a staple, The Pelican for a 2am burger after a night out was better than Tylenol, and Willow Pond was possibly the most consistently good restaurant around.
Yes. Randle was practically automatic down low and carried us in a TON of games. Top 10 in double doubles all time at UK, 4 more than Boogie. More points, more rebounds and was best player on team that was runner up for title.
My point is Randle is a Tier 1 guy at UK, no questions asked.

I think people in general forget how good Randle was that year. Not many guys at UK have averaged 15 ppg and 10 rpg. Statistically, Randle and Boogie were clones during their time here.
People love Boogie's personality, me included...but Randle was as good if not better, it isn't even a question. Randle also didn't have John Wall breaking down half court defenses.
I mean - look who else is in Tier 2. They’re Randle level. Demote Boogie if you like, but Randle is in like company.
Tier 1 for me would be Wall/Davis only. And a whole bunch of dudes in Tier 2 including multiple AA's

When I think about Wall and Boogie, I don’t remember individual stats, or even focus on how it ended. I just remember them taking us from being irrelevant and on the doorstep of a has-been program, to being great again, in the flash of an eye.

I love Boogie as much as the next guy but if we are being real, son, Wall and AD have a tier and then we can name others.
With all the Patti’s talk I was actually thinking of the Pelican earlier. Many a drunken night in high school driving across the dam for a Pelican Burger and some finger banging action afterwards in the driveway of a girls house.
If we are being real, there is Anthony Davis and everyone else is fighting for 1B.
While at it Patrick Patterson is criminally underrated by Kentucky fans.
Dragged us through the mud during Billy’s 2 year bender, then took a backseat to Wall/Cousins while trying to refine his game. All handled like a pro’s pro.
Cousins had a couple of things going for him that Randle didn't, one was the absolute enthusiasm and relief that we were out of the wilderness of the Gillespie/Tubby last years and that we were dominant from the get go all the way into the tournament. That was a season of joy until the West Va. loss. We all remember what a disaster 2014 seemed to be until the "tweak" and throw in we were coming off a NIT the year before, fans were not happy. Fans loved Cousins for the entire season, Randle for about four weeks.
Guys- Boogie Cousins came after Mark Coury. A lot of people are happy to forget that.

My last support call tonight: A mother, on vacation with her kids, calls FCPS because she can't figure out how to connect to the WiFi at the Norfolk, VA Hilton.
I told her it was a captive portal issue, and that she needed to find a place with open WiFi (like a Starbucks etc.), have her kid login there, and then go back to the hotel, w/o turning off the Chromebook.

it’s one thing to look up places to eat but another to lean on trusted sources who go beyond the google search
