I think they are catering to the teachers - many of whom like the idea of working from home for a year. It’s pure laziness too. They basically give the kids Fridays off. There’s limited work to do and only one or two live classes on Friday.

Up here they called school off two days before March break, gave two extra weeks at home after the break, and then did about 20 minutes of online learning a day through the end of the year. It was ******* embarrassing. We ended up paying for private tutoring over zoom just to keep the girls challenged and advancing. Meanwhile the teachers collected a full paycheque of course.
