Going to a funeral tomorrow for a man that has been hospitalized for months. He caught Covid and died, and was listed as a Covid death. Is there a difference from dying with Covid and dying from Covid?

Would he have died, at the time he died, if he didn't have Covid? I would assume only his doctors know. Same for many others.

People can die from multiple contributing factors, so I'm sure every death isn't black and white.

Of/With is not differentiated. For the reason you stated.

*for mouth breathers it doesn't mean that 6% of the deaths are of covid and the rest are with.

Good Afternoon:

:: "We're still having some issues with Teams..." Gotta love those meetings. Guys, it's been six months. Jesus.

:: Went simple for the wife's Birthday Dinner because that's what she loves...Ribeye, Loaded Baker, Steamed Asparagus.

:: You want an easy sauce for a vegetable, fish, or meat? I give you browned butter. Half a stick of butter in a small sauce pot on low-ish heat. Leave it alone until the water cooks/pops out of the butter and the milk solids brown...about 10-12 minutes in my case. Ladle/Spoon it over whatever you want sauced.

:: Finished the asparagus by flash searing with hot browned butter. Two ecstatic thumbs up.

:: One of the perks of my job is occasional access to hard to find ingredients. Lately that has been embodied by Tillamook Maker's Reserve 2012 White Cheddar. Holy ****...an all out assault on taste and texture senses. Sweet, Salty, Bitter, Creamy, Spicy, Umami/Funky all in a tiny 1/4oz bite. Phenomenal.

:: 10/1 and 10/8 Birthday Friday Five:

"Cold Beverage," G-Love and Special Sauce

"Shadrach," Beastie Boys

"Boogie Nights," Heatwave

"Forget Me Nots," Patrice Rushen

"Partyman," Prince

UKO probably thinks Dr. Fauci is a liberal plant (in spite of not being a political figure in the 36 years he's done this job)
Didn’t want to jump into this ******** on vacation but old Fastball Fauci is my hot button after he ruined the defending World Series champs home opener and cursed their season with an opening pitch that would make John Wall’s look like heat from Nolan Ryan...

He’s done more interviews than research since covid came to shore and he’s flip-flopped on every stance he’s taken, sometimes within a few days. Masks won’t do anything 60 Minutes interview -> 15 days to flatten the curve -> lock it all down -> we’re doing more harm to our economy than the virus with these lockdowns -> more lockdowns until multiple vaccines

He’s like the British who didn’t know how to adapt to fighting tactics of colonials and kept marching in a straight line, remaining steadfast even as the data changes and every major indicator is down (positive) still claiming we need to wait for vaccines and more lockdowns.

He’s worse than a politician, he’s a lifelong bureaucrat that knows how to play the game of amassing as much power as he can by greasing the skids of the DC machine of a leviathan government. Oh and I think donating to Hilarys campaign and writing a gushing love letter to her after her Benghazi testimony on Capitol Hill disqualify’s his neutrality, unless you think there’s no political motivation behind that.

Oh yeah covid... know four people in their 20's and 30's who've had it and survived.

Also, even though I didn't carry on like Kooky but maybe I spent two nights in the hospital and then quarantine back in June myself over a little illness issue of my own.

It’s everyone’s fault BUT Trump.

It’s amazing how little control the messiah has over the people who work for him and the country for which he’s president ... four years in.

If only Joker and Billy Clyde enjoyed such detachment ...

So my brother was supposed to be getting married yesterday in key west. He’s a 45 year old bachelor that is a bit eccentric, and I just assumed he’d be single the rest of his life. He called us about 3 months ago and told us “Surprise I’m getting married in 3 months! It’s in key west and family only!” We we’re all taken aback but excited and happy for him with slight bewilderment and reservations about him getting married (mid life crisis?). Anyway me and my wife are business owners so closing up shop for a week was no small task - as well as securing child care for the week.

Monday night at midnight my brother sends a group text: “The wedding is off!! Please cancel all plans you made” I’m talking to him and trying to talk sense to him, tell him to sleep it off, etc. Tuesday at 6 AM he is adamant they aren’t getting married (quite a few insane details that I won’t share that make us all agree this is for the best). Me and my wife have a f*ck it we’re still going on vacation attitude so we still make our 7AM flight which has a layover in Charlotte. We can’t go to key west due to insane details so when we arrive in Charlotte we google “good Florida beach towns” as my wife has reminded me multiple times that we are packed for Florida and only Florida. Destin kept coming up so we went to counter and lo and behold they had a flight to destin. They also had a room in the really nice resort we booked. I didn’t know **** about Destin but overall it was a super nice vacation. Bunch of weird **** happened including a really drunk day at some spot called crab island but we’re heading out today refreshed and relaxed.

I also got a text from my brother today that they, in fact, did get married yesterday in key west as planned! Turns out the whole Monday night thing was a giant, three’s company like misunderstanding. How nice! Doesn’t seem like a horrible idea at all!

No one here gives a **** about corona, no masks, crowded restaurants. Very awesome.

That’s been your Ron Mehico bubble minute, hope you enjoyed. I’ll now be headed to the bar to drink quite a bit of tequila before the flight. Had no idea there was a presidential debate. Too bad.

Bonz, I agree with that pitch, it was trash. I think the notion that anyone has done a phenomenal job with this virus is false as gyero confirmed a few months ago. However, I do believe he is trying to do this based on a scientific approach of changing tactics as more info becomes available. I've disagreed with him (about masks early on and about the dangers of reopening now that we know more about the virus) but I do believe he wants to try to steer us through this.

By comparison to the usual suspects (trump, Pelosi, Schumer et AL.) who want to use him as a football, I think he's doing a decent job. I was not aware of a letter to Hillary (quick Google search yielded no replies) and ditto for contributions. I more so meant that when acting in his capacity as head of niaid he's not openly contradicted the president (to my knowledge) until now.

We are talking about Fauci, the leading “expert” on disease, despite the whiffs. I don’t expect any President from either side of the isle to be up on **** like this. And last I checked Fauci is the one that advises the President and has been the mouthpiece to the nation. He’s the one sparing with senators on the Hill.

By all means turn a blind eye to his ineptitude. Trump is a joke and you won’t hear me defend him. But I’m not so naive as to think orange man is responsible for every touch up that happens in DC, especially when most have been there longer than we’ve had hair on our nuts.

Speaking of Fat Joe, powerlifting is the greatest sport because I get to weigh in and then spend an entire day intentionally gaining 5-10 lbs. Happy Friday GYERO.

Based on scientific approach of changing tactics...
let’s try civil discourse - what has Facui done that has been out-of-the-box, cutting edge or a byproduct of new data?

If you look at Japan, Belgium, Sweden, Spain and Germany they have all changed how they test and their metrics to the updated data and how they treat the infected. How has he had the US evolve because as Booker said, we are lagging behind many others.

Well there's only really two positions to take on this. One guy said we need more info but flattening the curve is the main goal. The other guy said it's a hoax two days after telling Bob Woodward its really serious.

Faucis ineptitude, in my purview has to do with little to no basis for the virus. Trumps (who I know you said you aren't supporting) has been to act as if it will disappear. Not sure how saying that opening up too fast may be an issue is as egregious as saying it's not a threat.

I wish it would all go away though, so I could be bitching about our lack of aerial offense and the prospect of another season starting 5 brand new faces. Instead I'm up at 3 am reading about contact tracing in Birmingham like some kind of crazed animal. Ftge

“US Government announces time travel is real, provided by aliens and powered by clean fusion technology, but we lost the instructions.”
I lost the instruction booklet to an $8k drone I’ve been testing for the last three months and had to ship back today.

I had a pretty fun morning looking for it in the tile puzzle of house we’re still settling in to. Luckily, I found it in a spot I had convinced myself it would be - under the folded down back seat of my CPO KIA Sorento.

I’m riding pretty high now - nice lil’ boost heading into the weekend, IMO.

Goddammit you faggots. There is an SEC football game tomorrow. Some political talk is cool as GYERO ages but the repetition of RED TEAM and BLUE TEAM talking points as if any of you f***ing idiots are re-inventing the wheel is ruining things.

Do better. Be better.

In comparison to other countries, I think we get effed (specifically trump) because we aren't a homogenized, somewhat fit young society. It has a huge role in our numbers. But, I'm pretty sure we were one of the only countries to treat this as a political issue instead of a health issue. That's all of our fault.

Sorry, I'm done with the political talk.

I don't know how Destin became 2020's most popular vacation destination for people in this area, but I and several co-workers have independently vacationed there this year. Was there at the end of June. Still haven't seen any bills come in the mail for the toll bridge.

The Cardinals bullpen blowing a four run lead and losing 9-11 has far more effect on me than whether the President does or does not have Covid.

Well, didn’t want to blow the surprise, but let’s just say that rougemocha is no longer GYEROs most eligible bachelor.

But seriously, sorry to interrupt the political talk. Also, I decided to click on a thread by Hyman. You know, the fun loving weed smoking GYERO poster. Apparently he was asking if anyone saw the documentary about a guy murdering his wife and 2 young beautiful daughters. How bout that pick me up? Jesus guys.

My doctor this morning said he doesn’t believe for a second that Trump has Covid and this is a political ploy. And was 100% serious.
I remember in 2016 a doctor telling me, while performing a minor procedure on me, that Obama had mobilized the 10th Division to declare martial law before the election. And was 100% serious.
