Oh come on. Even you Libertarians have to appreciate the timing and irony.

I’ll stop, though. Love you, buddy.
If I thought people could digest the news rationally, for sure, but obviously that's not possible. The POTUS(or Biden) getting a virus most people in the country think has killed 8% of our population isn't something that makes me happy.

Has anyone in GYERO actually lost anyone they know to Covid?

I know two people I worked with professionally. Both doctors. One was 29 and the other 52. it just got them and they couldn’t shake it. Neither had underlying conditions that I’m aware of.

Haven't lost anyone, but my grandfather had a rough go with it. Back home recovering as of a couple days ago. It was a terrible few weeks. Constant bad updates from the docs and nurses and no visitors allowed. We're all trying to stay hopeful but fearing the worst. Then one morning, boom. All his vitals were good and he was being sent home. Strange *** virus.

I know tons of people who have had it. A bunch of my runner friends, most of whom said it just really sucked *** and they were sluggish and felt awful for 2 weeks. I know 2 guys who work/volunteer at the homeless shelter that both ended up in the hospital, but survived. Both are high risk, with 1 of those being extremely unhealthy/addicted. And a former co-worker's husband who is being forced to prematurely retire from the fire department because it left him with nerve damage (his hands shake like he's got Parkinson's).

Just like anything else, the older/less healthy you are, the risk goes up considerably.

By the way, check out this f'ing gem:

Given his clean bill of health, no comorbidities, high energy level and drive, he will be just fine......as are the high majority of the country.

😂😂

I'm not gonna tell you who posted that in the "POTUS tests positive for Covid" thread, but he wears jean shorts and gold chains.

This gem was stated this morning from 2 physicians, one of whom is his personal doc.

Do you wake up with a boner in your mouth that affects your way of thinking, or does your stupidity come naturally?

Just don’t think we have enough data to accurately say what this virus does over the long haul even if you get it and recover from it.

Everything I’ve gotten from our people at HCA seems to suggest this virus does have some long lasting health implications if you get it.

Most viruses have long lasting effects, this one is just going to have longer lasting effects for everyone, including the ones that never catch it.

UKO probably thinks Dr. Fauci is a liberal plant (in spite of not being a political figure in the 36 years he's done this job) but believes a personal physician that called trump the fittest president ever and wants us to believe he's 244 pounds.

The worst thing about Trump testing positive for Covid is that it just extends the time that my kids will not be able to attend school or play sports. Gavin is going to double and triple down on his lockdown. Andy is probably close behind.

- As much fun as GYERO was yesterday, times like that I occasionally like to go back and relive the old days of the thread (too bad we can't go past 2015). Saw Richie's "lay up" quote in Max's signature, decided to start around there, and let me tell ya' . . . the conversation on pages 99 to about 102 is quite entertaining, especially given the current marital and familial situations of a couple HOF'ers here.

- Seeing Doc Boat as DJT Jr. in one of those face swap videos was a pretty hilarious way to start the morning.

- Thanks to a certain GYERO tipster, scored an EHT SB and WSR at the Liquor Barn Express last night. Not sure if the bourbon bros have swarmed yet, but they had plenty of both of those as well as ER as of a little after 8pm.

- Man, what a day for opening the "Fall Meet." Lass' office is being treated by a business partner to the Keeneland Room. Whole track limited to 2,000 people, masks everywhere, ATKOT. Even so, still going to be fun, I'm sure. I'm not at all jealous of her . . .

- On that note, between thinking about the track and the weather being essentially a perfect fall day, pretty sure Kentucky burgoo takeout from Stella's is the play today.

- Found out the office is reopening in a one week on, one week off, alternating teams fashion, tentatively starting on October 19. Going to be weird adjusting back to wearing "normal work clothes" again. Brooks would be absolutely disgusted by my daily attire (not to mention shaving habits) over these last few months.

- We started watching Queen of the South now that it's on Netflix. Narcos Mexico is far better, and some of the things that happen you have to suspend your belief of reality for, but it's still pretty entertaining. Braga is dope.

- Find it hilarious that the commercials for Tenet are touting it as the "#1 MOVIE IN THE WORLD!!!" You mean . . . the only movie, really?

- Guess I need to refrain from making any comments about the NBA series. Texted "Herro 🔥🔥🔥" to my group text the other night, and the wheels proceeded to immediately and completely fall off for the Heat. Whoops.

- Ole Miss, I . . . whatever, I don't even know anymore. Let's just win. That game last week was infuriating, and that's the last I'm going to say of it.

Credit UKSwimmer for the BT drop tip.

Props to LBE for dropping at a weird time to throw the stingy bourbon bros off their scent.

Needed a bottle of Blanton's anyway. Was down to my last bottle.

Thanks Swimmer, much appreciated. And get back over to The Beer Trappe soon, been some time since we've seen you.

Everyone can be honest: how many of you wake up with a boner in your mouth and if so how often? Also, does it affect your way of thinking?

It will all stay in GYERO, just genuinely curious how prevalent this behavior is.

Going to a funeral tomorrow for a man that has been hospitalized for months. He caught Covid and died, and was listed as a Covid death. Is there a difference from dying with Covid and dying from Covid?
