If the returns are legitimate (based on NY's law about releasing private info when under investigation, it very well may be) the fact that he only paid $750 in 2016 isn't the bomb shell. It's the fact that he's sold himself as a great president and leader because of the businesses he's "made" and profited from. His tax returns show tremendous loss (not surprising, Smoking Pat could probably do that for him) but also completely ignorant leverage that no business person would legitimately take on.

Again, I'm not arguing Biden/Obama good > orange man bad. I'm arguing that the one thing people default to when you point out the fact that he's a lying, narcissistic, feeble minded president is that he's an outsider who ran great businesses. For some reason, that qualifies you to be President. I don't buy it. Nor do I buy a Biden presidency benefitting this country any differently. If anything, I think I won't have to hear from, or about, Biden for the next four years, a welcome reprieve.
We've known the dude exploits bankruptcy laws for ages. He hasn't changed.

IDGAF about Trump or anyone else's taxes.

How much money did we waste on getting his taxes?

^^ The guy has had other businesses paying him millions to use his name for decades. That says not successful at all.

* Things that are incredibly stupid:

- shaming others for the amount of taxes they legally pay
- insisting politicians should release their tax returns

Just dumb.

My opinion (not a "sheep" by any means) with this guy:

- his income/wealth/business accumen isn't anywhere near what he says. been that way for decades.
- he's a liar about everything, including releasing his tax returns

* Sidenote: Looking forward to working with Smokin' Pat once again this year, and paying as little as legally possible.

* Also: at 80 Proof's bachelor party, we were seated next to Geraldo Rivera at dinner one night. We sent him a shot of Fighting Cock, IIRC. He didn't exactly carry the room, or any other cliche to that effect. What a boob.

I voted for Trump because he at least said he's going to do the policies I liked:
  • Increase US mfg
  • Reduce reliance on China
  • Cut down on foreign wars
  • Cut immigration
The policies he put in place have directionally helped in each of those areas. I'd rather vote for a guy who is a scum bag but will push policies I think are good for the country compared to a swell guy who does the opposite. It's as simple as that. So get fired up about how "they got Trump" with this tax thing all you want. I'm still not voting for a bunch of globalist socialists.

Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden are rich simply because they are politicians. None of them have ever been responsible for running a company or employing people in the private sector.

But yeah, Donald Trump is clearly the bad guy here. Dude isn’t a saint, but let’s be clear when we are comparing apples and oranges.

I’m so ****ing sick of this political ********. I think Biden and Trump are terrible. Harris isn’t far behind. Fake phony ********. All of it. And now we are in a giant game of chicken across this country with coronavirus, racial division, Supreme Court appointments, etc.

I enjoyed this weekend because I watched a lot of football. It was fantastic. Made me forget all of the crap we’ve had to deal with the past 6 months. At the end of the day, we all just want to feel normal again.

In closing, football is awesome. Sports heal.

Is "rack" still a thing? If so, rack.

I can see the Don up in the early hours of deadline day, sorting through TurboTax and adding in a few more cash donations to the Red Cross to try and balance out his tax bill.

The bad news is: The next president wont make the outspoken loons in the country any better. They are all here to stay.

The good news is: it's quarter-zip and Lucchese szn so enjoy your firepits and drink a cold one. Go to work, pay your bills and keep your head down

I can't think of anything I give less of a **** about than a rich person's taxes. Politicians have been "landed gentry" rich folks my entire life. Those people live in a different universe than Billie Jean and Billy Joe Wildcats like me. lol at the "surprise" and "outrage." FOH.

I would be more upset at the loss, but honestly, I'm so glad to have SEC football back that getting screwed out of a TD was the most normal I've felt since March.

Competing in my sixth powerlifting meet this Saturday. Spending this week summoning all my accumulated meathead powers to put up some big numbers. LFG. Hopefully I don't spinal myself.

in conclusion, UKO is a dork.

I mean, did he do anything illegal with his taxes, or did he just game the system? Don’t hate the player... No wonder he’s being audited.

But yeah, I don’t see a smoking gun here tying him to Putin. He’s desperate he has to make a deal with somebody!?!?!

Really doesn’t seem like anything new here. But it should make tomorrow nights debate a little more interesting.

More irritated than ever considering how much I paid in taxes last year. Fair share my ***. I need a Trump accountant.

Obama sucked but I think my opinions on why he and Biden suck are far different and nuanced than some of ya’ll.

That being said...I wouldn’t vote for Trump for county dog catcher. So I’m sitting this election out.

Got more respect and faith in a bricklayer than I do for a hedge fund manager or a real estate speculator.

Just the way I was raised I guess.
Sometimes the real estate speculator starts out as a bricklayer and works his way up, like I did.

You know, upward mobility, American dream and all.

That said, I have a ton of respect for the working man.

UKO, go to hell you piece of ****. I hate those who hate. I've done more in these last 3 years to help better this country than you've done in your entire miserable existence. Don't ever assume to know anything about me. You're a typical Trump loon. You want to tell everyone else how to think and feel without having a shred of an idea of knowing who they truly are or what they've been through. It's people like you that make others hate America.

Good news though. Your kind are dying off faster than you'd like to admit.

What about a guy that has never had a real job, by all accounts?

I've got more real world job experience than Biden.

This is a good take. I’m 100% in on this and it’s what actually makes America great.

But I also think there are things in place that create barriers that prevent a lot of people from doing this. Especially today.

My grandad had nothing but a high school education. Started off at BF Goodrich as nothing but a glorified janitor. By the time he retired he was making 35 an hour, a supervisor and had a job you can’t have today without at least a bachelors degree in chemical engineering and 5-10 years experience.

There were a lot of voters on the fence about Trump until this bombshell.

Here is the secret about our tax code, it could be simplified and many of the loopholes people like Trump enjoy could be closed...but these politicians don't want that, on either side. The tax code argument is one of the oldest. maybe the oldest political grandstanding topics. Depending on what side of he isle you are on that subject alone can bring in some nice pork from big donors and corporations to line your pockets.

Oh yeah, no one is on the fence. 99% of the country knows who they are voting for. The debates are meaningless. This tax bombshell is meaningless. It's all meaningless. Let's just have the vote and move on.

- Tax talk. LOL. We've finally come full circle with this election cycle. Don't give a ****. It's all rigged for the super uber wealthy.

- Lass worked all day yesterday...had myself a day. Pancakes, yard work, football on the outdoor couch, walked the dogs, few domestos, burger with bacon and egg; just a damn adult day. Still full.

- Redoing a little bourbon bar area for living room display...gonna be sick. Expensive as hell, but my little corner of the house will be :fire::fire:

- Much needed break from reality with CFB. Super short staffed at work, working our balls off last few months, and not changing until the new year. 🤢

- Supposed to be headed to Peru in November...NOPE! 😬

Stop. It's fine. Nobody's buying your principled Libertarian vote but very cute.
Voted Libertarian last time. But bend over and defend the very people that destroyed your beloved hometown and attempted to keep your kids out of school. Lipstick on that pig.
