I'm torn. I was a huge Laker fan in my youth. Very casual these days, but still consider them "my team." I find it hard to root against Bam and Herro, though. I just really enjoy watching the Heat play. Very likeable team. No matter how these Finals go, I'll be OK with it. Just want 6-7 great games.

* The Lakers try to play a traditional center as much as possible, presumably to save wear and tear on Anthony Davis. That's not going to work against Bam and it is the NBA Finals so I'm going to assume we are going to see Bam and AD squaring off for the title. It is going to be a treat.

Bam's rise has been nothing short of ::checks thesaurus:: meteoric.

* The Trump tax return story might be the most 2020 thing yet. The New York Times has the headline in whatever the online version of 36 point font is, like it is the damn Moon landing or 9/11. Meanwhile, I'm pretty sure that everyone in America was already of the belief that Trump engaged in "creative" or "fraudulent" tax planning (depending on your side of the aisle).

It is obvious that the powers that be held the story until the month before the election like the grab them by the ***** video. Now everyone gets to have a HOT TAKE on social media and get pissed off about something and in a few days absolutely nothing will change.

'Murica!

* Remember 15 days to slow the spread in March? We still don't have a Kentucky Wildcats basketball schedule. It is September 28.

I feel like real life has become The Onion.

- I hope it was just rust but Wilson's decision making leaves a little to be desired. He's a senior and still more careless with the ball than he should be.

- Our entire offense is predicated on not making mistakes. Typical wide-open college passing attacks can overcome penalties and turnovers to a much higher degree than we can. Our margin for error against middle of the pack and above SEC teams is just thin.

- Lack of separation by our WR's is an issue.

- The RB's and the O-line played pretty well. I'd expect they are going to continue to build off of that performance.

- 5-5

- I've been down on the Reds all season but I'm happy for the fans that continue to grind it out through the normal mediocre-to-awful years. Afternoon baseball in October is just fun.

Actually, Sarah Silverman retweeting Rex Chapman with the caption "That is one swollen ******" is the most 2020 story ever. (I don't know how to post tweets.)

Re: Terry -- maybe the most disheartening or indicative thing for me was not TW taking a shot after Auburn jumped offsides. Like, he kept with the originally called play for a 4 yard out-route. TF?

He did that twice. Rodgers even mentioned it the 2nd time.

Everyone on that effing field knew those were free plays. So lock eyes with your WR, point and heave. Why wouldn't you at least try to get a huge chunk back when you're already guaranteed a free play or + 5 yards.

Glaring, IMO. That's not a sign of a confident player the announcers kept reminding us he was all Saturday afternoon. That's either dude with a significant amount of rust on his shoulders or is someone sooo micromanaged by the staff he was too afraid to deviate from the game plan.

- He also slid short of the sticks, too. It worked out because we converted thereafter but little things like that will cost you games.

- Imma chalk it up to 1st game jitters, rust, tough opponent ATKOT but there needs to be some marked improvement vs Ole Miss or it could getugly.

- Joshie Paschal is going to have a nice year. He was in the backfield a lot and his burst has improved off the line, from what I could tell. Never a question of strength but he's gonna be a problem.

* National Daughters Day. National Sons Day. Good grief. They'll have one for moms and dads before you know it. F'ing Hallmark Holidays.

* Had some friends stop by for a drink on Saturday, then we headed out to watch the LSU game. No biggie. Just had to clean the house, cut the grass, install new landscaping, sand/clean/paint the exterior, put on a new roof, groom the dogs, lay down new wood floors, wash both cars, put out a mini bar and appetizer spread, pressure wash the driveway, manscape, rearrange the furniture, hang new artwork, swap out the light fixtures, upgrade our wifi speed, do a few pinterest projects, weave a blanket or two, hand cut an ice sculpture, get some botox, and clean out the koi pond.

Don't want people thinking we're destitute and living in filth.

* Gotta think Bam is gonna spend some time on 'Bron, too. With his size/speed/ability, he may just be able to contain King James.

* DJT is a liar, a con artist, bankrupt, and a horrible businessman. This has been known for decades.

* Trevor Bauer vs Max Fried @ Atlanta. Wednesday 12pm est. LFG.

* Getting really sick and tired of all the freaking Cobra Kai spoilers on social media. I'm still on the part where Larusso dresses up as a shower curtain for Halloween, so can y'all please put an alert when you talk about this stuff??? Jeez.

I know it's lost on you, but "anything" family right now is a good thing. Hell, I'd even claim you for one FB post if it made you feel better.

Liar, con artist, bankrupt...all probable. Horrible businessman....lol, nothing could be further from the truth. If we all could be so horrible to have our names on resorts, office towers, golf courses, clothing, and make the economy of the United States the best it has been in our lifetime.

Terry's decision making is terrible and always has been. No field awareness, REALLY easy to tackle and has a loose handle. I do think he has improved his accuracy a tad and is hamstrung by below average (at best) receivers. I mean I *think* you have to ride with him at this point because Gatewood, Smith or Allen aren't making our wideouts any better. We have no one to stretch the defense and no one who can actually create on those slants and quick outs. Josh Ali is our centerpiece and likely wouldn't start for a single SEC team not named Vandy or Mizzou... that is more of a problem than Terry imo.

No neck gaiters allowed in Commonwealth seems odd since most coaches and players are using them on the sidelines.

As big of a lunatic as the President is, I don't care about his personal taxes. Far as I know nobody that actually has significant wealth/assets pays any personal taxes. The middle class handles all of that.

As much as we could use a playmaker out wide, I wouldnt mind a Bouver type sure-handed route runner that was at least consistent in his averageness.

Baseball playoffs will be fun to watch, which is all that really matters. I'm not naive enough to believe that the team left standing at the end should really be a "World Series Champion" considering how short the season was and basically allowing everyone into the playoffs.

I'm at the point of my life where getting a notification that my golf course's new carts with the updated bluetooth speaker package was enough to really get me hyped this morning.

Color me an ***, but I don't want Miss State to ever win any big games or have any success or happiness. If you've ever been around *those people* before then you should feel the same way. Awful group, awful school, and having Fun Mike Leach there isnt going to change anything for me.

Watched game in bar, sitting across from us were Auburn fans. They described Gatewood as Cam Newton-esque. Said done in by the legacy of the Nix family. Said we're getting a real good one. TIFWIW.

I have a buddy who was very tight with Spurrier back in his USC days. He said they were livid when they lost Drew Barker to us. Said he was a real good one. TIFWIW.

Terry Wilson is gonna go to the NFL Combine and put up some *really* impressive stats, and those of us who have watched him play for years will know how empty they are. It's amazing how little he gets out of his physical ability. He's not elusive at all, hasn't broken a tackle in his life, and always seems to pick the wrong time and spot to run.

Smoker suggestions/help.......

Is there that much difference between Treager, Monument, Egg, Zgrill, etc etc?

Considering just getting the Treager 22 because if I’m going to spend a few hundred and want something better anyway, might as well do it now.

But I’ve never used a smoker and have a lot to learn.

-Disappointed but I'm really not all that discouraged. Auburn was much better than I anticipated (and I think is going to have a special year - Bo Nix may win SEC POY IMHO). You can't have two 2nd half scoring drives of under 30 yards on the road in the SEC and expect anything different.

-Auburn's speed at LB and on the corners was impressive. That was just A LOT for us/Terry to handle in game 1.

-Terry was rusty, but so was our entire WR corps that basically spent an entire season blocking. Bryce Oliver can play - need him back.

-Our defense *IS* really good. I was encouraged by them.

-Folks need to chill out. I think we'll handle Ole Miss this weekend. -6 all/air.

-Having much more luck on GAMBOL in the NFL than CFB so far. I'm taking Mahomes any time that dude is being given points.

-Porcini Saturday night was excellent. New patio roof is spectacular. Best restaurant in Louisville IMO.

I both really like Terry Wilson, and want someone else to get a series or two here or there, especially if Gatewood gets eligible. If Gatewood is as good as I hope he is, you have to play your best players and we won't be able to keep him off the field.

Terry seems like a great guy, and I hope he succeeds, but if he's not the best option, he's not the best option. I'm sure he is at this point, but hopefully, Gatewood gets eligible and we can see for sure.

Put a little fresh basil on your grilled cheese made with some mozzarella, Swiss and provolone. I mean that’s better than an American Cheese only grilled cheese all day.

* What a kick in the nuts that game was.

* Terry is a terrible runner. He should be good, but he isn't.

* Terry makes terrible decisions.

* AJ Rose is way better than people give him credit for. I guess he needs to make cool tweets and wear a spinning mouthpiece or something. BUT, I think Smoke is even better. He needs more touches.

There is NOTHING wrong with being a run heavy team. We've had success with it. It is our strength. Use it more effectively. WTF was that goal line pass?

* Bad execution, bad play calling and a bad result. But we have the horses to go toe-to-toe with a top 10 team at their place. Next week will tell us a lot. He had a poor game by his standards, but if you still doubt Stoops after the last several years, I don't know what to tell you.

I still like my team. (not thrilled with my QB1, but I'm hoping there was just some rust.)

* Busy *** weekend capped off by me catching my smoker on fire yesterday. Seems to have avoided any damage.

Had a flameout and upon restarting the wood pellets in the firebox cause a larger than normal fire which caught the accumulated "sawdust" from the 10 hour cook the day before on fire which cause the grease in the grease tray to catch on fire. I quickly dumped the unused pellets into a bucket and unhooked the propane tank from the sear box. Glad I was right there.

* Bourbon Heads... check out my Facebook page to enter a huge raffle that will benefit my recently deceased friend's wife and kids. Lots of quality juice will be given away and our own Krazy Kat is generously contributing some Down Home.

* Joey, the kid looks like he is doing great! That is wonderful.

wcc and 80, can't wait to meet your little bundles of mayhem.

* Let's have a great day, GYERO. Start game planning to kick Lane's ***** *** now.

IIRC we had to pass because we were out of timeouts and couldn't get another play in if we got stopped by the refs again.
