I'm pissed off enough about this nonsense, but when a holiday weekend comes along (like Labor Day), and the local politicians, news media, and health officials extry hard pour on the precautions, the condescending talk, the babysitting, the awareness, and the reminder of how to report misbehavior.......it's just about more than I can handle.

That was cool how you said to hit you up if anyone wanted to go to a dove shoot, then you never responded to the texts.
I went to a dove shoot last week and saw more birds flying than I've seen in 30 years of dove hunts. Perfect weather too, it's usually blistering hot or raining.
I don't know a lot about Mt. Sterling, but I think this post sounds a lot like Mt Sterling. It sounds like a pretty nice place to live. Very beautiful land.
...one of the first properties I found for sale on Zillow searching Mt Sterling was a 64 acre plot with a 3 bedroom POLE BARN HOME with a huge *** nice attached garage bigger than the home itself. Appears to have a nice pistol range pit right next to the house. A state of the art modern barn home. That's kind of what America is all about, imo.

*It was 97 degrees on Saturday when I was going to go shoot harmless, innocent doves-- so I opted out. Poolside and a few good playlists this weekend.
*Looks like Transy is in the academic crosshairs because they let in that Trump kid. Honestly, I'd be more upset that they let in someone from Covington.
*Started A.P. Bio last night and 2 episodes in its pretty good. I don't know if the concept of the show can keep up that long but so far so good.
*Bill O'Reilly is a schmuck but i've enjoyed a few of his "Killing of... " books. I've finished up the Killings of Lincoln, England and the Nazi's, mostly do to covid related boredom and a bunch of audible credits.
*Too much to ask for the Breeders Cup team to give us an update on fans/no fans or what they may be planning- so maybe the patrons can do a bit of planning? I'd like to put another trip on the books if we cant do Keeneland.

While I can't relate to this mindset, if she wants to do that -- whatever. That's her life.
My problem is when this mindset (which is objectively ridiculous, imo) is allowed a heckler's veto to shut down the rest of society against other people's wishes.

Remember visiting Transy and thinking it was infested with too many nerds/dorks which, if you knew me when I was a high school senior, was a hell of a statement.
From a Rusillo podcast I listened to, it sounds like reporters and staff at the bubble are treated like the untouchable caste (lowest) people in India. From the quarantine period where you just sit in your room and have food delivered to you once per day, to not being allowed to speak to the players unless they speak to you, it just sounds like a crappy deal.

My (very) rough analogy is that gender classification issues are to Gen Xers what race issues were to the "Greatest Generation" and gay issues were to the Boomers. Basically, "WTF is going on?"
