I wonder if there will ever be lobby service for fast food joints again. Probably because usually people go in to use the restroom / take a break on road trips. But with the way Chik-Fila has cars wrapped all the way around the building, it is probably not going to be safe for them to re-open the lobbies unless they change the drive-thrus.

It would be interesting to see a list of stuff stuff has changed forever from March 2020 to March 2021.

Reds have really challenged my fandom this season. I should have known better to buy into the hype. Either they hate David Bell or DGAF but looks as if they don’t even try.

I mean Big V’s son is on the Gridiron Cats, so a Nappy Roots song only makes since.

If you don’t reopen lobby service at McDonalds where will GYERO have their coffee meet ups in a few years when we’re all in that crusty demographic?

I just assumed by the tone in here that MOKH had already been struck from the Derby.

Should we wait to get outraged, or just go ahead and do it? I'm on the fence here. Let me know when I need to grab a pitch fork and torch.
Fairly certain they'll have plenty of that outside Churchill already.

In a bit of irony — google some info about black jockeys at the Derby. They basically made up the entire field in the 19th century, then were eventually banned around the time the position became lucrative.

Churchill Downs isn’t particularly racist that I’m aware of, but when it’s been around since the Civil War, its going to have a checkered past.

All good now, though. Pull the plug on MOKH and the slate is wiped clean. Enjoy the reparations, y’all!

Few things piss me off more than a Website that advertises Online Solutions, then gets you all the way to the end 'submit' the a change -- and then prompts you to instead call to make the change. :uzi:

Or basically, everything to do with ATT/DirecTV.

I would legit pay a $25 fee with *zero* hesitation to not have to call any major company's "customer service" dept.

Oh, and one more :uzi: to the automated rep "fake typing noise" while he's "looking up my information" - that **** makes me rage.

IIRC, like 15 of the first 20 winning jockeys were AA.

- Already have a pair of RB Wayfarers. Kinda want something with some blue lenses.

- But how many fans do you think Penn State and Baylor actually lost? Seems their fanbase was pretty resilient.

Not Costa or other top brands, but i bought a pair of Callaway Raptor sunglasses. UK blue and white with blue lenses. About a buck twenty five I think. May not be your style, but they are good for golf.

My sister and brother in law live out in the country, and their only option for internet is through ATT. They constantly have problems with them. One tech blames the tower, another blames equipment, another blames the amount of usage (despite his parents living down the road and having solid internet through them). It's crazy how little their "techs" know about their own network and how to fix it.

They basically just tell customers "f*ck off, it's your fault" and never even provide a legitimate attempt to fix the problem.

Bluegrass (William Van Meter)

Tells the story of the rape and murder of WKU freshman Katie Autry. One of her fellow classmates eventually convicted of the crime was part of the billionaire Dollar General family. Great read.

Actually he got off. Lucas Goodrum was found not guilty. Stephen Soules the other person confessed and made a plea deal to avoid the death penalty.

- At least it’s a big relief that there is no more slavery in the world today - especially not in modern communist utopias we all secretly long to be a part of.

- I have several pairs of Warby Parker sunglasses (prescription) that I like. But you can also get them without a prescription. Just choose five frames you‘d like to check out and they’ll send them to you for a home try on. Or stop by their storefront in OTR.

- Maxing out our deductible for childbirth means it’s time for dad to schedule another round of #Kneecapshots.

- Sometimes, working for a company with Chicago roots means you get some Lou Malnati’s shipped to your doorstep to enjoy on paternity leave. I’ll take it.

Maui Jim’s are the best. Lightweight, thin arms so no tan lines, and several lens options. Other notables Smith, Kirkland, Serengeti and Tifosi.

Hate calling customer service. If not noticeably American I just hang up and redial. Did get a free IPhone 11 because I recorded the Asian rep promising me low rates and then laughing about it while forgetting to hit mute.

Great weather for the Holiday weekend, Derby, Football, grilling and boating/fishing. This bubble life is rough.

I mean, we’re scouting a cove with good signal to stream the races being run at Churchill. Maybe even will do some juleps and make a theme party out of it. But most interesting to me will be whether MOKH is cancelled or nah.

I’d rather scout out a cove with good sightlines for some premium chest beefers. Kentucky Derby 146 does nothing for me.

That typically is the cigarette boat row. Never fails, it’s like you get issued a couple bikini girls with purchase...uncanny really.

Peas/carrots, chocolate/peanut butter, strippers/cocaine, powerboats/beefers...some things just go together.

Slavery has existed somewhere in the world from time immemorial, yet it took this country less than a century to ban the practice and lead the way for other western countries to do the same. In the intervening years, all 3 branches of the US government have worked to eradicate systemic racism and achieve equality in the eyes of the law. If anything, this country's history of reckoning with slavery should be celebrated and embraced, not wiped from the collective conscience to be replaced by straw men. Removing anything and everything that has even the most tenuous connection to slavery or antebellum America serves only to deepen divides and sow hatred. It does nothing to improve black lives. Nothing. That's why it's largely woke white liberals who are driving this craziness. It is so disheartening that so many people are falling for these ******** narratives. Pure insanity.

Removing MOKH from the Derby would not improve one black life, but it would make a bunch of white elitists feel better about themselves. All optics.

  1. Secret Aardvark
  2. el Yucateco
  3. Marie Sharp's (only recently introduced to this one; carrot-based, which I thought was odd, but outstanding)
  4. Colon Cleaner
  5. Bufalo
