One fateful Labor Day, my Dayton-born buddy found himself in a river rat gas station (Newport/Bellevue//Dayton somewheres).

At the checkout, a middle schooler was carded while trying to purchase tobacco products.

He responded by saying, "Oh man, you're gonna card me?! On EBN Day?!"

That sums it up, IMO.

Jerry’s Jug House is selling Frog Juice this weekend in honor of this story.

If this becomes precedent, it will have huge effects for the debtors but I'm not totally sure how it will effect lendors and colleges (especially in the short-term).

I could be mistaken, but I believe most of these loans are federally guaranteed so the lendor may actually hope the loans get discharged in bankruptcy so Uncle Sam is on the hook versus some sociology major with $150k in student loans that will never ever be repaid. I'm sure it is more complicated than that.

In other words tax dollars that come out of your, and my, pockets.

Shorts:

- Always enjoy starting up a 90s alternative playlist when descending in an airplane. Brings me peace- particularly “Tonight, Tonight” for some reason. Do it every time.

- I’d say the great majority of Facebook and neighborhood yard sign “supporters” are showing their support for the sentiment and are completely ignorant about the organization itself.

- What are some good recs for some new sunglasses?

- As much as I’ve enjoyed the perks of working from home, not sure it’s been good for my psyche overall.

- All the bitching and “I’m dropping my fandom” nonsense about the UKBB video got me thinking- I don’t know if there’s anything that could make me stop bleeding blue. Maybe some scandal involving my own family or friends. So ingrained.

- How f’ing good is The Weeknd? Dude just gives banger after banger.

- Love how quick and easy it is to recognize a **** driver who’s going to annoy you for the next dozen minutes on the road.

- Can’t say I’ll ever get into golf but I do appreciate golf culture and understand the alure, specifically an early Saturday morning outside seeing how many vices you can activate in one hour.

Rack em. Starboy is one of my favorite albums of the last 20 years. Rayban Wayfarer Polarized, no reason to over think that decision. Would take something very harsh personal to quit BBN.

A Jerry Sandusky coverup could make me walk away from BBN but I admit I'd struggle with it.

The second I can discharge my usury-interest-rate federal student loans in bankruptcy, I will. Nothing I own is worth a **** anyway, the only thing I'd lose is an albatross of debt and a good credit score. F it.

- Already have a pair of RB Wayfarers. Kinda want something with some blue lenses.

- But how many fans do you think Penn State and Baylor actually lost? Seems their fanbase was pretty resilient.

Best books about Kentucky?

Most enjoyable for me was “Wild Ride” followed by “Baron of the Bluegrass.”

Chad and I may disagree on some things, but our love of 90’s music will never be broken, and that gives me hope for the future. Cheers bro.

Sorry Anth. MOKH has been cancelled in KY. Let that sink in. Puppies

Cock teased by Old Fo on the Birthday bourbon today. Nice website jackholes. I guess the use for it in old fashioneds has spiked demand through the roof...

Nancy flipping the script and blaming the salon for setting her up is GOLD. It’s straight out of Veep. I hope they apologize to her.

Chad .. Like WS said, check out Goodr. They were originally designed by runners for running but seemed to have taken off this summer as everyday shades. They have some cool color schemes. I have the black with blue polarized lenses pair.

Kinda like the time that VP Cheney shot that guy in the face and the victim apologized and admitted fault for being in the way?

Oh, and a big, fat lol to anyone who says they’d stop following the Cats over a Jerry Sandusky situation. That’s a big ole false.

Every single “real” fan would talk themselves into rationalizing the situation, casting blame on the individual over the institution, and generally defending their program to the death. Quit F’ing lying to yourselves. I sure would.

Look up Bill Cunningham. He’s a former Ky Supreme Court Justice, old friend of mine. Pretty sure he’s right up your alley. “On Bended Knee’s: The Knight Rider’s Story” and “Castle: The Story of a Kentucky Prison” are two you could start with and go from there.

All black Rayban Wayfarers for me (they hide my prescription lenses really well) but the light weight Maui Jim’s are nice (quite a few lens/frame color combos available in the sub $200 range).

I just don’t see how not playing “My Old Kentucky Home” fixes anything. It actually just increases the divide more. But what do I know.

Somewhere in my vast amount of crap that I have accumulated over the years I have a record that Joe B. put out. It includes the MOKH of A.B. “Happy” Chandler’s version. I must have listened to it a 1000 times.

The Bluegrass Conspiracy is an absolute must read, especially if you've ever lived in Lexington. I mean, it starts off with a dead skydiver wearing Gucci loafers with a hundred pounds of cocaine strapped to his body. The dead man turns out to be a lawyer and former police officer in Lexington.

And it gets better from there.
