In an unaired clip the sitting President of the United States- man who will be forever mentioned on the same list as Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, etc.- probably went on to say
that the plane full of people in black uniforms was probably making deliveries for Wayfair of babies for Ellen DeGeneres and Tom Hanks to eat so they can look young. It's being investigated by JFK Jr. and they are thisclose to blowing the lid off of things.

The Washington, Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials will be toppled soon, along with all records of them as decent to good men and Presidents who did more for this country than most. By the time their finished being adjudicated by today's standards they'll simply be known as racist old white slave owners, so who cares if Trump is mentioned alongside them, Max.

Years ago when a committed recruit would tweet out something about not being 100% committed our staffs would **** down their leg and turn submissive.
This staff calls said recruit and tells him to either get it together or GFY. Recruit ***** down their leg.

These Youngstown boys ain’t playin’.

My kids will all be locked up in modern style furniture by then so I’ll have bigger concerns.

At this point in time, I would consider Stoops a better recruiter than Calipari. What Cal did in his prime here was remarkable, but what Stoops has done I thought was impossible.

We’ve gone from a soft dog **** embarrassment, to being one of the toughest defenses in the country. The one cool thing about 2020, is it would fit the narrative perfectly if we just won the whole damn thing.

-the market will decide how things go. If you don't like what the kids are saying dont support the program financially...its simple.

I think it could possibly go down a little better if the team (and basically all other teams doing this) didn't look like they were recording a hostage video. Most of these kids don't give a **** or just want to virtue signal/feel important.

Hard to take them seriously when they put out that video and answer questions the way they do. As such it makes it seem like nothing more than those Woke Corporation press releases than don't help anything and explicitly antagonize at least half the population.

That's ridiculous. Stoops best class is like 25-30 and he gets to keep 95% of his kids 4 or 5 years.

Cal has landed a top 2 class 11 years in a row.

Stoops is doing unprecedented things but let's tap the brakes a bit on that.

-I just remember being excited any time Kentucky beat out a Power Five school for any out-of-state football recruit back in the day. For a stretch there, it seemed like our fiercest competition for out-of-state kids was MAC schools. I really thought Bobby Blizzard was gonna be a program-changer, if only because he had a cool name and we didn't have to beat out Ball State for him.

-Nothing about the Cats' BLM video bothers me, except that as UCL said, I need nametags on these guys. It gives these kids a chance to make their statement in a coordinated way instead of spouting off on social, where the backlash could go even farther off the rails. Plus, let's be honest...it's about 50 percent for those kids, and 50 percent for HS kids. Duke is getting a lot of great pub right now because of Nolan Smith's involvement in the Durham area with that sort of thing. It's as much for appearances as it is for the movement, IMO.

-Has to be weird for all 17 Texas basketball fans that some of their recent stars shot video of themselves wishing Jai the best of luck at Kentucky and even throwing in a "Go Cats". I think this staff move will inject more juice into the program than most (non-GYERO) people realize.

-Still irks me that lately, our walk-on spots have leaned more heavily towards kids of Cal's buddies. Just let them have SOME connection to the state...a native, son of a former player, SOMETHING.

-Between Harden and Paul, last night's game had the likability factor of UNC-Duke. Still made for great viewing. But man, does Westbrook have the yips? Nice no-look pass into the scorer's table in the closing seconds, Russ. More like Russell WestBLAUCH if you ask me lolz

-All this talk from FYLM about his kitchen exploits got me in the zone last night. Threw together some greens, sliced some strawberries, diced up some pre-cooked Perdue chicken strips, whisked up a quick vinaigrette, and threw on some shredded carrots and crumbled goat cheese. Okay, now that I read that back, it's not quite the same.

* The biggest social justice causes of my 5 years at the University of Kentucky:

1> getting the students better seats at basketball games (thanks to the immortal student body president Jimmy Glenn......or was it Josh Knipp?)
2> Fighting for our god given right to continue having alcohol at our fraternity houses, which is of course a great, low risk idea.

* Lazy house/work-from-home dress -- corduroys and a Patagonia fleece. Dangerously close to a Mr Rogers outfit.

* I'm old enough to remember "The Punisher."

* Here's where Joe Rogan sucks:

- absolutely obsesses over his stand up comedy career, which is incredibly mediocre. Nobody gives a good cot damn about your "bits," nor wants to listen to 17 stand up hacks a week on your show for 3+ hours at a time.
- he gets so freaking high it hijacks the show. His format is great, except for when he spends two hours talking about elk meat, the ufc, and random YouTube videos.

But he's got so much material that he's got tons of great interviews if you look for them. And he's cool as hell, so that helps.

* We should probably just quit naming things in honor of people. And statues are creepy as F.

* Anecdote: our state/local government has been very quiet about this Phase 1/2/3 nonsense. I guess it's been buried underneath the rioting and murder and looting and whatev. Soooo......are we just gonna keep everything is closed and kinda forget about moving forward as an economy for a few more weeks? Hope nobody brings it up?

So. Freaking. Weird.

* With the Reds adding Archie Bradley, it's probably time to start designing World Series rings.

* Since everything sucks *** right now, here's my next two weekends:

this = Leadville, Colorado for 3 days
next = running a 100-miler in Pennsylvania, plus a full day at Cooperstown (/bucket list)

* <-- doesn't believe one single person that says they're "boycotting" sports. Liars.

I understand that argument, but I disagree. It’s a thousand times easier to recruit for UK basketball than it is UK football. When you compare them through the lens of each program, I think Stoops has the edge. Especially the last few years.

Not gonna lie - BJW's head exploding over the CAYUTS having political/social views they don't agree with is hilarious to me.
I'm done with UK sports!

At least 10 of those last night. With 30 more calling them idiots. It was marvelous.

It was shocking to see our players first coach take up for his players...

Our current football recruiting class is ranked #43 nationally, with only 2 - 4* recruits. It kinda stinks, granted only getting 16 guys. The FB staff will really need a great success this season to maintain recruiting mojo.

Mags’ take that Tennessee football is the way of the dodo was a bit overstated. They are crushing it on the recruiting trail.

Bret Weinstein on Rogan is a great PC. He's the professor that was run out of Evergreen College, was part of OWS and basically just destroys how awful these organizations are because of how they go about delivering their message.

Btw, Rogan is on Spotify now and 100 million dollars richer. Not bad for a pothead that talks too much about Elk meat and UFC.

I consider Stoops’ player development to be his forte but you could certainly point to evaluation/recruiting.

-Only thing that bothers me is when people want to raise awareness, and make changes, but then get all super offended when they meet resistance. BLM has good intentions, but it's also the driving force behind A LOT, and I mean A LOT, of really ****** rioting, several murders, destruction of our cities, and demonizing of police officers. You can't separate those right now and people aren't happy about it, not just racist slack jawed idiots, normal people. To these normal people BLM = riots. To expect everyone to just fall in line, and raise a fist supporting that, is ridiculous. Trying to shame them into doing it just makes it worse. I read in an article last night in the NYT, "it's dangerous to express an outside of the current liberal viewpoint." It's absolutely true and the worst part of that political team's movement. If you don't believe me or fall in line you're a racist, fascist, pig.

But yay!! Our super woke media continues to drive home that we must fall in line and throw a fist up because we enjoy watching these young guys play sports. Get f*cking lost. Maybe stop shaming people and have a conversation asking why they feel that way. Just tripping over their selves to prove who is the wokest woker on the beat. It's not unreasonable that people want sports and entertainment to be an escape from the stupid ********, just as it's not unreasonable that the athletes want to be viewed as more than that.

-Now that it's been mentioned, today seems like an ice cold Coca Cola Classic day. Didn't sleep well last night b/c of this BS.

I just feel we’d all benefit from a really good speech right about now. Like one of those historic, super moving speeches we could get united behind.

We ridicule Cal for only finishing in the Elite 8.

If Stoops ever finishes in the top 8, we will name stadiums, streets, shots and double decker sandwiches after him.

I absolutely love Stoops, but I think we are taking Cal for granted a little bit lately. We have a legit shot to win the whole damn thing pretty much every season.

Now, he needs to go out and get #9.
