Quick hits:
* Tweonz started their junior year today. Pretty unbelievable. Tough year to be learning virtually, so hopefully they can get back to in-person classes soon. They're both pretty certain they want to attend UK, so

. It seems impossible that the campus has changed so much in such a short time, until I consider that "short time" is actually almost 30 years. That's a real kick in the ***, along with having to look UP at boy tweon.
* I have a lot to say politically, so I won't.
* I haven't touched a golf club in over a year, but I am addicted to Golf Clash. My nephew introduced me to it and I've essentially played it non-stop since.
* Speaking of grilling, I bought a new one for the first time in 20 years. Thought I would get another Weber, but went with a Napoleon instead. Seemed like I could get more for my money than I could with a Weber, and I've been really happy with it. It's gas, but I have the option to use charcoal. Also has infrared rear and side burners. The side burner gets up to 1600 F in a minute or two, so I can get a really good sear. Sashimi-grade salmon, skin side down, on the IR burner for a couple of minutes is absolutely ridiculous.
* I REALLY need the NFL. College football is the highlight of the sports year for me, so I'm low-level depressed about its absence this fall. I know there will technically be games, but it's not the same. At least it looks like the NFL is going full steam ahead, so fantasy football is on. We're doing an auction instead of snake for the first time in 20 years on Saturday, and my excitement is way out of proportion, but damn I need some football.
* Any good podcast recs? I've been heavy into history podcasts - listened to everything Dan Carlin has done multiple times - so need to switch it up some. I used to listen to KSR religiously, but the political stuff got tiresome and I lost interest. No sports didn't help.
* How cool would it be to have WSloot as a mom? Almost worth having anth as a dad. Almost.
* I'm honestly really concerned about downtown Louisville. It's a dumpster fire right now. There seemed to be a lot of great momentum and revitalization, but thanks to Covid and the peaceful (

) protests, small businesses and restaurants are dropping like flies. Not sure when we became Chicago Jr., but here we are. Sucks. I work from home exclusively now, so I don't have much need to go down there, but still.

@Bonzo Cat - I think
Carouselambra was an anomaly. I prefer to think that a 1980's Zep would've followed the
Wearing and Tearing, Darlene, and
Ozone Baby path, assuming Page got his ish together.
