Controversial (?) HOT TAKE Randoms:
Tuesday afternoon dump of randos so I don't have to take too much heat.

- Posting from a PC is much better than from a phone. Sitting here at my school computer for the first time in a long time. Having a little freshman open house (yesterday, today, tomorrow).

We're starting on-line and obeying Andrew the Great's orders ERRRR recommendations. I'm fine either way, but it's time to get a little consistency. The other school in this county voted to go in-person. They now have decided to make it A/B or half and half. People are out here flying by the seat of their pants with no real confidence on what will happen from week to week.

- Fazoli's is terrible. 25-30 bucks for a lunch for 4 plus drinks? Furthermore, I prefer Chef Boy-Ardee out of a can over that gruel.

- Doing the binge-watching thing of Breaking Bad. I see how it could be good, but I'm not ready to place any kind of crown on it yet. Guess you had to be there when everyone was watching it?

- I've been rewatching The Office for a while. 2 things: 1. I never realized how many episodes I missed. b) It's been my favorite rewatch.

- These NBA playoffs are displaying some great play, but there is absolutely no defense being attempted. Here's a breakdown of each possession:
1. Fast break and pass ahead for layup.
2. If no numbers, high drag screen at top of the key.
3. If nothing there, go 5 out.
4. Couple of passes around the horn, then drive and kick to opposite corner.
5. Shoot a 3.
6. Rebound, repeat on other end.

I know the game is changing with 7 footers becoming 40% 3 point shooters and everything is a layup or 3 now, but yesterday's playoffs seemed like pickup games. The best pickup games of all time maybe, but still pickup games.

- Is it OK to buy one bottle of bourbon at a time, and then drink on that over a 2 month span? That's the way to go, imo.

- Wenyen Gabriel started in the NBA playoffs last night. I'll maintain he was the guy that needed to stay last year. Energy guy that was capable of stretching the floor. But then again, there was no tournament so who gives a ****.

- And here comes the hottest take - It pains me to watch AD play basketball now. Catches it 25 feet out on the wing. Reverse pivot, face up. Low sweep through. Then shoot a jumper hoping to draw a foul. He'll put up great numbers still, but he's lost some of his mystique. Mainly because Giannis has become a better version of him.

Have at it.

AD got Lebroned.

Never will get the credit when they win, will get most of the blame when they lose and Lebron will passive/aggressively see to it.

Lebron stacked the team with buddies and or yesmen who can't shoot and are just there to place hold and play D while LBJ walks the ball up the court, dominates every possession and plays hard on his terms.

Uhhh... he's putting up the same exact numbers on a few less minutes with a good chance to get a ring. Count me in on getting "Lebroned".

And since when are Rajon Rondo, Dwight Howard, Markieff Morris and Dion Waiters "yes men"? And since when can't Danny Green and Caldwell-Pope shoot?

Does Lebron meddle too much with GM decisions? You betcha, but your points are all wack, and I usually nod my head in agreement with your bball takes.

I'll try to defend my takes. Rondo, Dwight, Morris and Waiters are all on the fringes of the league at this point, they know they are on the team at LBJ's allowance and will be gone if he says (and may not have other options). Danny Green still decent, C-P can short just sort of. But they are slow tempo and have very little spacing, not exactly set up perfectly for prime AD.

I'm admittedly biased against Lebron because I find him to be a passive/aggressive baby who is quick to throw anyone and everyone under the bus at the first sign of trouble.

If AD wins a title I'll take the "L", if they don't he will be blamed somehow on him.

I'm a terrible GYERO poster because I tend to lean towards nuance rather than confrontation. --Makes for some tame, boring back and forth. I actually agree with all of that.

Lebron is incredibly passive aggressive at times with his teammates and pulled a total ***** move with his [Nike] China take and "the decision". But aside from all that, I feel like he gets a huge amount of criticism despite being a brilliant basketball player and model citizen.

Jordan was a gigantic dick, but that was just MJ being MJ. Lebron gets slighted for EVERYTHING...

I'm no fan of Lebron at all but it is amazing that the guy has been famous since he was 16 and he's never had a single scandal. Of course it wouldn't surprise me if his public persona hides an evil side.

This Lakers team ain’t winning jack in the bubble. They don’t have the shooting for it. After watching quite a few pre-playoff games, the best shooting team is going to win this thing. It pains me to say it, but the daggum Rockets could sneak up and steal a title. Layups and 3s.

I usually maintain lurker status in here and just add in where I fit in, but gd, man, you're dumber than the fullest, largest bag of dicks that there ever was. Just pure idiocy.

You fit in with the three amigos that liked your post. Congrats I guess ??? They are the definite who's who of trolling, not funny, idiot club. It is almost as if they recruited you by liking your **** post. Go buy a vehicle off of Carvana and drive it straight off the highest cliff you can find. But before doing so, EAD and GFY . I may be dumb, but I sure as hell know a non intellectual, unoriginal, non inspiring idiot follower when I see one. And you are the true definition of that. You can not post your own thoughts and be you, you have to run behind someone because you lack positive self worth, intellect and self confidence.

Boat is really forcing this Anth begging for compliments thing.

I despise Anth, so I hate to take up for him, but he clearly said it in jest and was just pointing out a social oddity which is absolutely true.

(A) Compliment the guy if you're a guy ----> *****

(B) Compliment the guy if you're a woman ------>***** STAY AWAY FROM MY MAN

(C) Don't compliment the woman if you're a woman-------->She won't compliment me on my next post if I don't compliment her. OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW BEAUTIFUL YOU ARE WHAT'S YOUR SECRET!!?!?! (as she types, she can't help think I hate this *****)

I too despise Anth. Just wanted to let you know that’s the source of my “like” because I despise you, too.

Dude...I never thought of this before...I totally lack positive self intellect. Thanks. No need for us to discuss any further.

You're universally despised in this thread, and the 3 "likes" I got pale in comparison to the amount of people who have told you what a effin idiot you are. If it smells like **** everywhere you go, you might wanna check your shoe.

Saving the extra good stuff is okay, I mean...not every day is a Pappy day. and krazy, you MADE that, that's fine. But having a stockpile in your house just to swag on people is weird. Dude I'm referring to brags on his collection like it's the Louvre. Like wow sir so impressed with your 6 bottles of Weller you've acquired and never opened.

No offense, but I’m not sure you’ll ever quite understand the value of a hobby for Married Guy. I agree with you and all, but still.

And I’m sure the flippers suck. Can’t say I really know any.

- Nice set of randos, Strokin.

- I don’t like LeBron. He seems like a decent enough guy but I’ve always found him to be a dbag for the reasons Killa outlined. Hate that I have to root for him now but I am without question.

- Breaking Bad is at once outstanding and a smidge overrated.

- The Office is an all-timer, but on a given day, I’d rank it, Parks&Rec and 30 Rock all differently.

- I have a real issue with anyone bitching about the SEC schedule. I’ll take anything more than 5 games and be happy at this point.

- My dog Blue is a stick guy. Never has liked balls. Picked him up 6 new ones last night on our walk and now I’m sitting out in my side yard nursing a bourbon and watching him give them each hell. He couldn’t be happier. Me either.

- I was just kidding, Chase. Love ya buddy.

- Watching some NBA because what else you going to do- and I still don’t love it. Glad most of you do.

- I am super confident with the gridiron Cats. Somebody humble me.

- Sister and bro-in-law are in freakin Alaska right now. Looks amazing.

I just checked, shoes are fine. Actually I just bought them over the weekend, very nice, very comfy, no **** on them. And there you go with group think again. You see MY opinion is the only one that matters to ME, I do not need likes and atta boys. Your posting and following like a sheep is ALMOST as bad as your basketball takes. I will give my opinion on that also, AD is in a no win situation. If they win it all (they won't), Lebron gets ALL the credit and AD is Robin, or a "also ran". He will get no credit. BUT, if they lose ????? He will be front and center of the blame. If Kuzman and Green do not play up to their ability, they do not get by Portland. I gave my OWN opinion, I do not need anyone to agree or like my post, nor did I copy someone else's opinion. Go read up on the series from the gurus or ask one of your idols what your opinion should be and get back to me with what they think.
You missed the whole point (of course you posted on your own and did not follow someone), It was not the number of likes, but the who liked. There is a common theme from the posters who liked your post.

This election crap can GGP and DIAF! Millions out of a job, barely able to eat or pay rent/mortgage, thousands of businesses gone forever but let’s bring everyone back to make sure the USPS can deliver the mail in ballots. The same USPS that has been losing billions for years.

School started here today....give it about 2 weeks before they shutdown was the consensus of several teachers I know.

2020....the year the USA finally realizes how the Romans felt when their Empire collapsed.

So no matter how much we play this year it’s essentially a redshirt season for the entire football team now.

My God catsfag [sick]

-LeBron is old and sucks (23, 17, 16 last night)

...but as much as I hate to admit it, he drives me nuts these days.

Politics/Social rarely drive my entertainment preferences, but he’s gone to the extreme with his platform and wears me TF out. :(

Still think he’s a Top 3 goat and will forever be amazed at his nearly flawless career (generally speaking) as an impossibly over hyped teen.

Very rare. He’s a special dude.

Well... if things are really that bad for Anthony Davis, he could pull his own power move, become a free agent in a few weeks and sign elsewhere.

-wife needs rec on a good "bottom-mid shelf" scotch...something that drinks well on its own but wouldn't be criminal to use in cocktails/recipes.
