- WSR or Old Fo 1910 with ice if I'm having an evening pour on the patio. Have a bunker of OWA though so I've been burning through that lately

Some of these secondary market price fluctuations are wild. I've dabbled in buying in bulk local then reselling on the national market, and it's easy to make 20%. But damn some of these bottles have doubled or gone up 40% post-pandemic.

- Best friend down here works in wine distribution and sales off-premise, essentially to grocery stores and liquor stores. They can't keep **** in stock, absolutely booming. Oh, and we get to keep all his samples after "tastings" that no one wants to do now bc of COVID. [smoke]

- Public school all the way, though had the family stayed in Louisville I was St X bound.

- Rosemary with 4 couples in 3 days. Beach, ice cold domestos, pool, gambol, the works really. Shew. Can't effing wait.

It’s produced in Kentucky, just brought to Ny for proofing and bottling.

Enjoy your Beam, rube.
Per their website

"We also distill every week in Red Hook using the finest non-GMO ingredients, including corn varietals such as Baby Jane that are unique to us and that we have nurtured over many years."

One of my business partners worked for them while he was living in NYC. He thinks it's garbage too and confirmed that Widow Jane Distillery does in fact distill (bad) whiskey.

The 10 year single barrel, which is what I have, was produced in KY.

Jim Beam is fine when mixed with coke at a football game, but as a house sipper, its disgusting. So I really don’t value your opinion here.

-yep...youngest is set on HC for similar reasons. Wants to do academy for now...but who knows, value of such depends on who is asked...some colleges like the "medallion" and some dgaf. Like every other aspect of parenting it is way too complicated and consumes more bandwidth(<--buzzword) than is warranted.

-prima(suck it pti) stopped doing the academy after freshman year...and still got accepted everywhere she applied with generous scholarship offers from most.

As a product of the local public schools, I found good grades, exam scores, and a broad base of extracurriculars were more valuable to gaining entrance to prestigious schools than just being a Wellington who went to private schools.

Yes, quite effective.

Although I will acknowledge you have popped the Pappy on special occasions. Unlike Anth, where he invites to you look at his virgin unopened collection. Just sitting there on the shelf like a doll.
Read his jive turkey post again.

Is there a bigger dork* than Bourbon Hoarder Guy? Not a collector, who likes to try plenty of different ones, but the guy who gets 8 bottles of Kentucky Owl or whatever on the secondary market to flip but never drink. My cousin's husband (cousin-in-law? cousband?) is one such doofus. Doesn't drink his stash outside of a few mid-tier bottles, just hoards it in the basement like he's the Scrooge McDuck of bourbon.

Sounds like the same kind of guy begging for compliments on his Facebook.

I to like shows / podcast when the host has someone that I find interesting as a guest. So some of you are telling me when a host has a boring / terrible, or someone you do not find interesting guest, the show sucks ? I'll be damn. never put 2 and 2 together.

Can't wait to see Mambas bs reply to this one. I loaded it , served it up on a tee for him. He will whiff as usual with the blah, blah, blah, never post again, blah, blah, blah, you are a terrible poster recycled gibberish. Over and over.

SEC schools starting to announce that they will allow fans to attend games gives a glimmer of hope that we might actually see football this fall. I'm sure Topbutton will take the most risk averse (and dorky) position but whatever lets us see some pigskin.

I usually maintain lurker status in here and just add in where I fit in, but gd, man, you're dumber than the fullest, largest bag of dicks that there ever was. Just pure idiocy.

Boat is really forcing this Anth begging for compliments thing.

I despise Anth, so I hate to take up for him, but he clearly said it in jest and was just pointing out a social oddity which is absolutely true.

(A) Compliment the guy if you're a guy ----> *****

(B) Compliment the guy if you're a woman ------>***** STAY AWAY FROM MY MAN

(C) Don't compliment the woman if you're a woman-------->She won't compliment me on my next post if I don't compliment her. OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW BEAUTIFUL YOU ARE WHAT'S YOUR SECRET!!?!?! (as she types, she can't help think I hate this *****)

- Since you mention podcasts, the one I was on with the bourbon barrel guys just became their most listened to podcast, over the Carter’s.

- Next Wednesday is a huge day for me. A monstrous step into my future into my alcohol venture. Fingers crossed, stresses AF.

- I guess it’s lame but my only “shelfer” go to is my own 5-1/2 Down Home. Mainly because it didn’t sell great and there is still so much of it I just brought 10 cases home. I love the stuff, HH sourced, and it technically doesn’t cost me a dime.

- I don’t know when it happened, but I’ve adopted Dame Lillard as my favorite pro athlete. That guy is my #1 pick if I’m starting over and have the option of everyone in the league. Unreal!

When he hit that 36’ pull up last night I just laughed at Lebron’s expression of disbelief.

- I got a little sensitive last year about some of the in game redass toward Stoops and Co. I don’t regret it, I’d go to war for that SOB.

I remember dad taking me to games as a kid watching the Pookie Jones’s leading us to 2-4 wins, and just thinking where we are as a program right now because of Stoops and his guys, have mercy!

- In 2 weeks a sheet of OSB will be $30. Builders can’t even hit appraisals at this point lumber is so damn high. WTF.

- Aug 18 is never easy for me, lost my dad on that day 11 years ago while pregnant with our first born. That was the day we decided not to have a Jr, and name him after my dad. That guy was my dude!

- Hump day 5

Eric Church - Carolina
Ryan Bingham- Hallelujah
Alabama- My Homes in Alabama
CCR- Put a Candle in the Window
Pink Floyd- Wish you were here

I'm slightly guilty of this, and I fully admit it's weird, but I don't do the resale or flip stuff.

I have about 7-8 really nice bottles I haven't opened but will on the right occasions.

Believe it's related to the portion of my brain requiring me to eat one item at a time, least favorite to favorite. This includes eating the favorite portion so the best bite is last.

Saving the extra good stuff is okay, I mean...not every day is a Pappy day. and krazy, you MADE that, that's fine. But having a stockpile in your house just to swag on people is weird. Dude I'm referring to brags on his collection like it's the Louvre. Like wow sir so impressed with your 6 bottles of Weller you've acquired and never opened.

Lots of these guys out there though. I have very few unopen bottles and close to 100 bottles not including my stuff.

I’ll open anything, but I do like my backups on stuff that isn’t as easy to go and get regularly just in case.

I know you weren’t speaking about me, but if I ever SWAG on anyone it’s genuinely because I want you to try anything I have that maybe you haven’t got to try yet.

The guy with the most impressive bourbon collection that I know is also one of the most generous. He literally has a couple events a year and will open up “everything.”

Granted, he acquired most of these twelve hundred bottles or so over the years before **** went batshit crazy. He refuses to chase bourbon now or pay secondary prices.

He also likes Widow Jane.

Looks like the season tickets at Jordan Hare and printed room registration for Sept. 26 on the plains will come in handy during the next TP shortage.
