Always fun to pop over to the UL forums to see what the waterheads over there are frothing at the mouth over.

WHAT SHOULD THEY RENAME RUPP?

Something something racist something something cheaters.

FFS you've literally had a banner taken down. Although I always smile about how much that burns their asses up.

I mean Biden appears to have some mental degradation going on but I feel like at worst it puts him even with the opposition.

how about this- in 2024 both parties scrap primary voting and hand pick a candidate that at least has his or her marbles? If the people don’t like their choices they can form their own parties. Would that be worse than what we’ve got going on now?
I would say that is putting it gently.

The Gladwell podcast on lottery drawing for political candidates is fascinating. I'd be all for that.

RANDOMS.

* Well the Chinese are throwing spectacle parties in Wuhan and we can't get kids to school. 2020 is the Year of Idiocy.

https://www.cnn.com/2020/08/18/asia...153LoxtgFU_excP9lfo857r02fHn2PRbiu_NIjakyCkQU.

How's it go?

We are the LITERALLY the dumbest country. The only one doing this. The only one not wearing masks. The only one not shutting things down. The only one with people dying and cases through the roof. We are so stupid.

That pretty close?

In the category of "Are we gonna do Stonehenge tomorrow?"...is ESPN going to roll out College GameDay this year?

If the Power 3 get this season off the ground I can't imagine ESPN not having the Saturday warm-up act on tour but think it loses a bit of its luster without students in attendance or socially distanced.

It's absolutely infuriating to me when Americans call each other out for not doing enough to shut down this virus. Has the public behaved perfectly? Of course not. It's impossible to expect 375 million people to sit at home 24 hours a day, wearing an N95, practicing social distancing, and washing their hands every 5 minutes without ever touching their eyes or faces. But give me a gd break. The majority of the country has been shut down for the riskiest of activities -- bars, parties, parades, concerts, festivals, sports, schools.....

I live in one of the busiest tourist destinations in the country, and for about 2 months, one of the weird but fun things to do was go to Bourbon Street to take pictures. Any day of the week, any time of day, you could snap photos and not see a SINGLE person. That's a single location that gets tens of thousands of visitors a week.

If that's not enough for you, KAREN, then go F yourself.

I really try not to get into political crap, as it’s all propaganda driven nonsense...but I really don’t get all this praise for how NYC did things with COVID.

Did everyone forget what a cluster touch it was up there?!?!? ICUs overrun, people dying in the hallway, mass hysteria. WTF am I missing?

My kids haven’t been in school in almost 6 months. My kids haven’t played real sports games in almost 6 months. I got furloughed for 30 days like millions of other Americans. I haven’t been to a movie in almost 6 months. I haven’t been to a restaurant in almost 6 months. I haven’t left the state in almost 6 months. I wear a mask almost everywhere I go. I haven’t seen my parents since 2019.

To blame Americans for not doing their part is extremely short sighted. We’ve sacrificed a whole helluva lot.

-Baseball's "unwritten rules" can go DIAF. If anything it NEEDS stuff like what Fernando Tatis Jr. did last night. But by all means, let's take every single ounce of excitement out of the game so that the Bob Costases of the world* aren't offended. MLB just can't get out of its own way.

*I'm just assuming Costas is offended by this breaking of an "unwritten rule".

-I kinda *get* why Chandler picked UT. He's from the state, etc. But if we lose Paolo Banchero to freaking Rick Barnes, I give up. Barnes is probably selling him on being the next KD. But Banchero is more Bam than KD. Let THAT be the player comp to use when recruiting him.

-Thinking Nashville tomorrow for a birthday roadie. Been craving hot chicken. I've assumed Hattie B's is the tourist choice, while the better stuff is elsewhere. Recs are appreciated.

-Which GYEROmen own pickup trucks?

This is complete and utter horse hockey....

"He's young, a free spirit and focused and all those things,'' Tingler said. "That's the last thing that we'll ever take away. It's a learning opportunity, and that's it. He'll grow from it."

"Just so you know, a lot of our guys have green light 3-0,'' Tingler said. "But in this game in particular, we had a little bit of a comfortable lead. We're not trying to run up the score or anything like that."

The Padres had a 7-run lead in the 8th inning, and instead of taking on a 3-0 count, Tatis had the audacity to swing, and hit a grand slam. Somehow he needs to "learn" from this experience? Go F yourself.

-Dads really get no respect. WS post family pictures and 75 comments with no mention of how great I look. Tons of, "oh you're beautiful, you're glowing, G is so handsome, etc" but no direct compliments for old Dad. Thinking of making a fake account to compliment myself.

-Those random at bats from the 80's, that some social media feed is posting, shows how slow everything is these days. The pitchers didn't waste any time and batters we're always ready.

-Nice little game of still hungover or covid this morning. Workout indicates still a little hungover.

-Got roped into "helping" for 1 soccer practice. I know where this is going.

-Am I the only one getting like 4 emoticons and the rest are just broken links? Missing a few of my favorites and it's been like that for months.

-It takes me minimum of a month to pick out a pair of shoes and now they area all short on inventory, so when I finally pick one the only size is like an 8. What, am I WCC?

-Was probably a rough week or so for that Sandman kid, after the DC incident, but he's crushing it these days. Settled several law suits with major networks and speaking at the RNC. Ol' ABH called that one perfectly.

-How can you not like peanut butter cups? The Trader Joe dark chocolate versions are perfect.

I'm also confused by this... I was there until March 12 (aka the day all the sports died) for the Big East tournament and there was not a single thing being done differently (by anyone I encountered, at MSG, in restaurants, on the street the handful of times I actually ventured out) than in years prior.

The only thing different was slightly smaller crowds in Times Square, which I imagine was the by-product of tourists choosing not to travel there. They didn't shut anything down until the same the weekend Kentucky and Ohio did, despite obviously having a higher likelihood of there being an issue there, earlier.

I think you people are greatly underestimating the ability of politicians to take credit for every single possible thing they can to enhance their cult of personality.

We had our annual over the top professional photo shoot last week. Contemplated wearing face paint and a shirt with holes in it to see if anyone would notice.

Ive never been happier to be in the SEC

Read about Ryan Reynolds selling Aviation Gin. Never was a big fan of gin up until a couple weeks ago when my neighbor had me try “Botanist Gin” which was phenomenal and had very little juniper taste. Thinking about giving Aviation a try anyone have it? Excited to have a new liquor to play around with tbh during this year

I see we’re slowly and inevitably creeping up towards 75% of talk centering around politics and the presidential election... HELL YES!

-Maybe I am getting old but the PH selection has gotten kind of ******. The fauxcest is out of hand.

-Nephew moved back to WKU this past weekend and his frat has a brand new house. It looked way nicer than it really ever should in the photos I saw. I bet it is a disgusting mess by December.

We should spend more time talking about all the sports that are going on.

Well, I will say I saw the first full game of Doncic last night. For whatever reason I was expecting a Steve Nash type but the guy is built like a tank. He was shoving around and driving on Kawhi Leonard with relative ease, in addition to being ridiculously skilled, guy is the real deal. Be interesting to see this next wave of Euro stars coming through. Also this season looks way more wide open without a Golden State like super team so should be a great playoffs.

The Reds suck

NHL is terrible to bet on

I haven't given up on the Reds just yet. In fact, with their starting pitching, I still really like their chances.

Offensively, they have been playing without Moose and Suarez has been awful. If Moose and Suarez have anything close to what their avg years are like from here on out, look out.

The bullpen and the manager are the 2 things that might not be fixable. And admittedly, those are big. I usually roll my eyes at people like Chumps who always want to fire the manager, but man, Bell has been absolutely awful so far.

But they are 9-11 despite the bullpen blowups. With the number of wildcard teams this year, I see them making the postseason. Then, who wants to face Castillo, Gray and Bauer in a series?

The age factor of politicians is the least of the problems they have with relating to the rest of the population. Cocksuc&ers should all be drawn and quartered for even attempting to think they have a clue to how the rest of the country lives! Same for the poor celebrities that keep posting how bad things are on social media while on Holiday 24/7.

Just saw that there will be no fans @Nissan Stadium through at least September for Titans and soccer games.

What does this mean for SEC football? Specifically Commonwealth Stadium?
