If you haven’t read the complaint in the Corbin lawyer thread do yourself a favor and read it. WOW.

I mean I’m sure some of us have had some perverse thoughts about co-workers but ole boy tried to live them out like it happens in the pornographic vids I hear so much about.

Some of you law balls probably know the guy.
He’s clearly not a GYEROMAN but probably a lurker

That mascot is pretty damn awesome.

For those of you not properly versed in Boone County water tower mythology...

"The tower was built in 1974, with the words “Florence Mall” painted on the dome. The Bureau of Highways wrote to Florence’s then mayor, C.M. “Hop” Ewing, that the tower was advertising the mall and that since it was much larger than highway advertising laws, the paint would have to be redone. The mayor, along with civil staff, came up with an admittedly corny, but cost-effective, solution of just repainting the M to make a Y, then adding an apostrophe to make the “Mall” a “Y’all”—Southern American English’s second-person plural pronoun. The repainting took less than $500 and created a landmark."

On a personal level, teen age Wildcat Willy learned a lot about love, heartbreak and Taco Bell at Florence Mall. The place was magic for me.

Went to undergrad and law school with him. He was your standard "I need to interrupt class every 10 minutes to let the professor/TA know how liberal they are" guy, but I always got along with him.

This said, those are some pretty specific details.

Any legendary yarns to be spun about Jared Carter?
His sophomore or junior year Scott Co was in the state tournament. You would watch them warm up and there was this kid who was 8inxhes taller than everyone on the floor. He never got off the bench the whole game. His senior year they got put out in region and didn’t even make the state tournament.

he would occasionally come into the JC and get some run on court 1. When his team got beat he wasn’t even picked up when the next team only had 4. Missing put backs. Just looking like some kid who just grew 10 inches. I don’t even know that I seen him get off the floor it looked like he stretched for everything. Anyone who watched what little he actually did play at Kentucky knew he was *** but being on the same court with him at the JC proved it beyond a shadow of a doubt. He would have gotten bullied at Georgetown or any other good naia school. The one thing that would always stick out to me every time I saw him was how ridiculously young he looked to be a GD giant. I honestly feel like he was forced to play basketball by someone close to him

on the other hand Perry Stevenson would Come in and just **** down everyone’s throat.

I was in Vegas for a bachelor party the summer before Jared's senior year. Our crew was in line waiting to go up to what was then PURE at Caesar's when sure enough we spotted Jared Carter sauntering around. We called him over and he went up with us.

Anyhow, a lot of vodka later whilst overlooking the lively Las Vegas strip he started opening up to me about how he was going to prove all of the message board people wrong that next year. Seemed pretty sincere and angry about it tbh.

As we parted later into the early morning hours he said that he appreciated the support and assured me that he would always be a Wildcat.

I watched our 5'9"ish is PG block the piss out of Jared Carter on his home court. It was hilarious. JC was legit one of the worst basketball players you could ever see, and he just happened to be 7' tall. Felt bad for him. Somebody definitely forced him to play, and I don't really blame them for doing that. Poor JC just didn't do sports ball.

Madison Central alone gave us Marquis Estill and Dom Hawkins. Beats the hell out of anything the 4th or whatever region gave us. Still got my vintage Marquis HS jersey I won at FT shooting competition during camp.

Adam Williams is the real head scratcher for me. He was terrible.

At least Carter was 7'. I would rather spend the 13th scholly on a 7' project than not use it at all (you hear me John?). Although, three 7' projects at the same time may have been a bit much, Tubby SuperFan or not.

But, Williams? My nephew-in-law (niece's hubby) played for Marshall back when Williams committed to UK. AW showed up to play some pick up ball with the Marshall players in Huntington.
He was so bad, they couldn't believe it. He never should've received a Marshall offer, let alone a UK one.

Well take that T-shirt, store it in your golf bag in case you ever have to take a **** while on the golf course. That is about all it is worth.

Football does districts instead of regions, but pretty sure Bowling Green plays second fiddle to no one in the STATE.

Can't decide which better personifies the end of the Tubby Smith era at UK.

The time he accidentally offered Adam Williams a scholarship or the time he accidentally started Dwight Perry in an NCAA Tournament game.

Those were heady times...

Virginia Beach vacation has concluded:

*nice beaches, was not crowded, strong waves (did not surf)
*Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown, and Appomattox also nice.

Four pages of retro high school basketball talk and nothing about the Marshall County to Vanderbilt pipeline?

Absolutely love the Williamsburg/Jamestown/Yorktown area, even Richmond. Never been to Virginia Beach.

Speaking of t-shirts, can you still get everyone a deal on them?

Yes, yes I can. Actually just got myself a new one. It says "Mamba 12.5 loves Dick" . On the back it says "COMES in all shapes and sizes". And it was not the size of the shirt.

Look at who liked your last post, that should tell you all you need to know.

Damn. Thought we were on the brink of another bombshell Virginia Beach review.

I did the best I could. Not a huge fan of the beach, get bored on the first day usually, which is why I rarely agree to go. I had never been to VB, so this was something new to me. Wife and nephews had never seen the historical stuff, and I was only 12 when I was there before, so I made them go there in return.
Also toured around William & Mary. Very cool campus.

Played baseball WAY back in the day at W&M...grew up in area (Navy brat) and is definitely beyond cool for history nuts.
One thing I didn't know until I was on campus is how much W&M help shaped our Christmas traditions.

At least a large segment of morally superior individuals can point to Cain’s death and say, “Can’t you see how right I am now?!?!”

Absolutely. We all should aspire to take victory laps around a man’s death. Serves that stupid sonofabitch right. More importantly, if you can find 5 other examples of Cain’s ironic demise due to Covid and post it in celebration all over social media, you yourself become immune and will NEVER suffer from it. It’s science.

I was in the same fraternity as him. Most of us hated him. He was the kind of guy that would finger a passed out girl and tell you how much *** he got on Monday. His trajectory doesn’t surprise me at all.

We were due for another UK law alum doing something absurd, I guess.

Guy in my class got indicted and pled guilty to $13 mil in tax fraud...after he interned at the US Attorney's Office and later consulted for them (he was also an osteopath) on the stent fraud cases they prosecuted. As in, he interned during the IRS investigation. He walked in GD federal buildings with a $13 million tax debt over his head.

Balls of brass.
