The only thing I know about epidemiology is that I had to Google it to learn what that word even means, but I know this......we're ALL getting the coronavirus. Every single one of us. So, this "slow the spread" nonsense is a waste of time. It's happening. I'm gonna test positive. You're gonna test positive. We're all gonna test positive at some point.

Need to really put these resources into other areas other than "slowing the spread." To this point, every single idea on how to accomplish that mission has failed.

Loss here is the equivalent of a 2.7-8 start.

So in the first 9 games of David Bell's first two seasons as a manager his record is....

3.7-16

Oh no you haven’t heard? Every other country in the world beat this virus by every single person wearing masks for a few weeks. 100% compliance everywhere but the US. Especially Europe, they all came together like one happy family with one goal and won!

They are so advanced, wish I was a Europe!

* It really sucks having to pay tax on an Amazon purchase these days. Man, what a thrill it was to get one over on Uncle Sam, one hasty transaction at a time.

* I'm pretty comfortable with the Reds being terrible, and I temper my enthusiasm regardless of the hype. All in, it's lead to a pretty rational experience thus far. 1-3. Meh.

* About to separate the wheat from the proverbial chaff, imo. Will millionaire professional baseball players press on with the season, despite a handful of athletes testing positive with absolutely no negative symptoms?

It is rather puzzling, the panic mode that so many people go into.

omg, 17 marlins tested positive for covid yesterday!
uhhh......but were any of them acutally sick? nope? let's move on.

* 100% lock this President never takes the mound to throw out the first pitch of an MLB game. First Commander in Chief to skip the annual tradition since Howard Taft began it a century ago. Taft, the fattest president ever, who spent a good portion of his life in a wheelchair. But still wasn't afraid to bounce one to his battery mate.

* Changing a ceiling light may be the most annoying, yet incredibly simple household task. I can't think of anything I'm more happy to procrastinate. Solid guarantee once you do, another one within a small proximity will go out within a day or two. FTGE.

* Lass just got back from a 4-day trip to the great state of Washington. Having an entire year where it's mostly illegal to go to work is a once-in-a-lifetime shot. Marcus live it up and get out and travel during our downtime. So happy for her to hit the road and go explore. Next up -- Jackson Hole in 3 weeks.

* ThroughBlue is terrible.

^ Who wouldn’t want to watch our elected leaders act like a bunch of f*cking infants for a few hours. Seems like an uplifting break from the non-stop barrage of COVID-19, campaign commercials, peaceful protests, riots, etc.

Thanks!

Changing the battery in a Beeping Smoke Detector :uzi: (b/c you can't put it off, even 10 minutes...and it ALWAYS happens when you're in bed)

Man smoke detectors are such a necessary evil. Like I get why we need them, but it's never saved my life or property. Just a nuisance. Chirp... chirp... chirp.

Wanna sear a steak on the stove? Eff you dude.

[laughing] 4:30 AM two saturdays ago, after the first 2 beeps about 8 mins apart triggered a bizarre dream sequence the third beep finally woke me up. Took the next beep to realize what was happening and that it was one of the detectors downstairs. Went down and had to wait for next beep to confirm which one, step ladder etc to discover I had none of those weird *** 12V batteries or whatever they are. There is currently a dangling smoke detector with wires hanging out of it downstairs that I’ve promised my wife I’m fixing this weekend.

Is there a Mamba 13.0 or whatever we can hire to follow around Throughblue? How’s that work

My wife wanted to watch the local evening news last night because “We have to know what’s going on”. First story was about how Columbus is shutting down bars at 10PM and interviewed all these bar owners about how their lives are being ruined, and how the city is going to be forever harmed with all the impending shutdowns. They then previewed the next segment before cutting to commercial: “Is there an impending stock market and economy collapse?” First commercial was a preview of an ABC news evening special titled “The Coronavirus Catastrophe and how America is in the mess” or something along those lines. I looked at my now depressed wife and said “No” and we changed it to HGTV and I watched two overweight southerners buy a 15,000 dollar home and fix it to the ladies all in budget of 75,000. It had a very happy ending. I mean JFC

Never realized how much I liked Plums. But man a ripe one is hard to beat.

Boy a sneeze in public has really become a dramatic event. Just sneezed in the checkout line at the grocery store - felt the need to loudly say I have allergies to no one in particular

Evidently a smoke detector is more likely to beep in the dead of night because the cooler temperatures are more conducive for an old battery to first fail.
