I always wanted our football team to come out to the Cape Fear theme song.

Ca stay at home is one of the most strict in the Country and lasted weeks after many other states started to open. They still are having increased detected cases and up to 2nd most in the country. They're right in the middle of Tex/Fl in deaths per cap, which are all still low compared to national average, but obviously way behind any of the North East states. The whole, "South opened too soon" argument is silly. Lots of factors go into the increased cases including testing, protests, contract tracing, actual spread, re-openings, and IMO the most important LUCK. States lucky enough to avoid early infections are going to fair much better now as opposed to the disasters NY, NJ, MA, and Conn were in the Spring.

Anth: California never reopened.

Me: Actually, we did, quite a bit.

Anth: (Rants about a bunch of other stuff.)

1. You can't go inside anywhere in the Bay Area without a mask. Many businesses still limit the number of people in and out. The lines at many businesses this weekend were out the door.
2. Inside dining has been closed since March. Outdoor dining only opened up in June.
3. Outside bars were open ever so briefly.
4. Same for salons and gyms. Lasted a whole 2 days in Santa Clara County.
5. We closed down March 16th with the SIP before anywhere else in the country. Only supposed to be 3 weeks though...lol.
6. Schools were dismissed March 13th...Only supposed to be until the end of Spring Break...lol.

Like Pti said, it's only 3 weeks! Lockdown and be safe! Kids will be back in school in no time.

Don't wear a mask! Wait, wear a mask (we messed up...lol)! In 2-3 weeks, this thing will be gonzo.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Toots Palumbo hosted Hey Kentucky! tonight in case anyone just woke up from a coma and was wondering how summer of ‘20 was going.

That show peaked in October 2018...

Seasoning the blackstone tonight, man it’s hot as balls out. Nice cold Coors banquet beer and the hot tub set to 88 isn’t so bad. Guess we gotta make our own entertainment these days.

Cheers.

There are a lot of people on here who love ****** beer. Actually, quite amazing considering their elite status on the socioeconomic scale. "Ice cold domestos".....[sick]

Do better....especially during these tough times.

Man I drank like 12 grapefruit flavored high noons on July 4th and those things were deeelicious. Cold alcohol in the hot summer sun can’t be beat.

I’m as big of a craft beer honk in here and there’s plenty of breweries that launch summer seasonal blonde ales along with the now popular gose ales and sours but once we get to Memorial Day & I’m at the pool, the lake or on a beach vacation.... IMO, nothing hits the spot like an ice cold Rocky Mountain Soda or Goldtop.

The new Mammoth from Lexington Brewery is great pool brew and I pretty much hate everything else they make. Cougar Bait Key Lime is great but it has become allocated this summer for some reason. I’m all about supporting the local crafties.

Blue Stallion Lexington Lager should call itself “collide with a crafty label” and I mean that as a compliment.

Coors Light and Bourbon Slushes are currently high on my Patio is Lava rotation.

Rheingeist Truth followed by some hard seltzers are what I drink at The Pool.

A lovely Down Home or other nice brown with a single large cube is mandatory for air conditioned Golden Tee playing when I’m enjoying the #smuglife.

- Reds open it up in two days, and by gawd, we’re contenders! Our sportsless existence shall be a thing of the past.

- Speaking of shorts, I’ve found you can’t beat UnderArmor’s 7” gym shorts at a reasonable $35.

- Swapped my Michters BP for Wild Turkey Masters Keep Decades, coming in at a hearty yet manageable 104 proof and featuring barrels ranging from 10-20 years. Looking forward to opening it this week. Been wanting this for awhile.

- I don’t recall UK football ever being preseason Top 25. Absolutely loved seeing Steele with Big Blue at #21.

- Long way to go but the ‘21 recruiting class is shaping up to be an old school Calipari banger.

- Could really use one of those freak late July/August fall preview days.

-I will say, at least Blue Stallion isn't like to 50 other replica breweries out there. Mostly German style beers. Their bar is about 7' tall and really awkward. If I'm drinking heavy beer, that's my place. Still though, keep a glass in the fridge, pour in domesto, and instant happiness.

-Our daily reminder from the league that we've totally lost our minds: keep the kids distanced during post-game team huddles; limit high-fives, fist-bumping, and other touching as much as possible; do not share equipment; limit your time at the park to when your child is playing; and stay 6' apart while you are waiting in line at the concession stand.

K, pal. I'll keep 4-6 year olds socially distanced.

In reality the kids and parents are all handling well. We wear masks around the kids, parents bring lawn chairs, everyone is very spread out. Been fun so far.

-After staying up until 12:30a bickering with Jones, heavy doses melatonin and crashed at 9ish last night. Needed that refresh.

-Introduced G to Ghostbusters last weekend. Held up really well. PG isn't the same as it used to be.

-Don't see any fall previews in the next 10 days. Maybe a high of muggy 86. Enjoy it while it's here. This is one year I don't want to hear jack **** about fall or cold weather. Get the f*ck outside and hope it stays warm until everyone chills TF out.
