Cancel culture is the worst.

I mean, maybe we should think about bringing back dueling. Let’s see who really has the courage of their convictions.

Demand satisfaction, imo.

What about the time you sat maskless in the Barstool Gametime room and office for few hours (?) to watch coach Duggs live and then eventually came back to Kentucky to potentially spread the Cuomo-Pox COVID brand to hard-workin’ Kentuckians???

I assume you failed to quarantine yourself for two weeks when returned the Commonwealth. (Not out of state requirements, but out of respect for Kentuckians’ lives.)

Please support or refute these claims.

- I yield my time back to Wyvern.

You assume wrong.
If you follow me closely enough to know who I have blocked when it isn't you, then that's even weirder.

No, I haven't worn a mask at all times, every single moment of my life since March. I have probably worn it more than most, but less than some. Walking into the Barstool office, putting on a mask wasn't my first thought.

The post the dude responded with that picture was just me noting that ultimately I am done arguing about the Coronavirus. People can think whatever they want to think (and they do...including folks in here). At the end of the day, after people's lives (which are just a number until you know someone infected), the thing I care most about is college sports and my restaurant. People can ***** and moan about death rates, positive rates, fake tests, etc and ultimately it is all just political talking points. Companies/schools are worried about liability and a LARGE amount of Americans (especially older ones) Are worried about their safety. When Trump can only draw 6,000 people in Tulsa, it tells me that people have changed their behavior because of the virus. Since then, all the numbers have only gone up. I think it is a fact that the decision of the Governors in the South to reopen quickly and with few restrictions combined with the desire of many people to not wear a mask (because of FREEDOM!) has led to more cases and neither of those coming back as quickly as I wanted. All the arguments in the world won't change that fact. I am just resigned to it unfortunately

Ironic coming from the guy who called and got another man fired because he didn’t like the diagnosis that he asked for on a message board

GFY

I have no idea who you are but you are the first to jump on this whenever my name is brought up. I had nothing to do with that guy getting fired....no way in Hell I'd do something like that. So GFY.

Hope everyone in GYERO is doing well.

I'll have 4 years of sobriety in less than a month, best thing I ever did. Divorce should be finalized in a couple of weeks--should have been done years ago. Kids all doing well.

Peace to all and will check in in a few more years.

How much is the fine for not wearing a mask again? Does Governor Howdy Doody know about this crime against humanity?

Seem to have forgotten to mention another significant factor in the spread. Also, California and Arizona aren't in the south. Also, also, California never reopened. Also also also, US has been wearing masks as well or better than most of Euros.https://www.bloomberg.com/graphics/2020-opinion-coronavirus-global-face-mask-adoption/

Played my first full round of golf today in over 2 years. Walked with 2 former college golfers from Arizona. I’ll say that those 4 hours might have been the most peaceful 4 hours I’ve had in the past 4 months. Didn’t hurt that I was playing at a course right next door to Pebble Beach. Amazing scenery. Barely anyone out there. It was incredibly liberating and peaceful. And super nice not to think about all the problems in the world.

California - at least large parts of it - reopened quite a bit. Bars, restaurants, beaches, gyms, salons, parks, etc were all opened here a few weeks ago. And most have since had to shut back down in the last week.

* Congrats to Wettcat for 4 years of sobriety and not getting sucked out of airplanes!

Reminds me of a call to the KSR post-game show after we finally beat Florida in football. A guy I'm pretty sure I went to high school with called in and yelled in the biggest country accent of all time: "MATT I'VE BEEN SOBER FOR SEVEN YEARS AND THE HARDEST THING I'VE EVER DONE IS ROOT FOR UK FOOTBALL! GO DAMN WILDCATS!"

* While we are all indeed hypocrites, it is and will forever be hilarious whenever someone is especially preachy about an issue and then gets caught violating their own arbitrary standards.

I mean, it has been 15 years since holy-roller pastor Ted Haggard got caught nailing male prostitutes and doing meth. Still hilarious.

* Might have to start watching UFC.

36 today . Time flies

5 days til Opening Day. Reds season will be determined quickly with early 6 against Detroit. Cautiously optimistic.

Flew to Chicago last weekend with no issues.

Hockey back next weekend. Little by little, normalcy coming back. Just gotta decide who you want to interact with.

Anyone tried the Weller Single Barrel yet?

Krazy, I'm ready for another bottle of whatever you've got available.

I've talked to the person who got fired from the message board post...he knows who it was. It wasn't WettCat.
I talk to him every day and it’s pretty much been established that wettcat did it. It just takes a quick search through post history unless he scrubbed it already.

Guy got butt hurt and tried to ruin another mans life. Luckily for the other poster it was a blessing in disguise as he got more money, more benefits, and a shorter commute.

You (assuming that is you) posted that picture multiple times over the past few days. You wanted a reaction, so you got one. That picture occurred at our radio show when the little girl came over about 30 seconds before we went back on air. We aren't wearing masks because you can't do a radio show with masks on. I asked her dad if she wanted to wait until the show ended so we could put the masks on and he said no. So we took the picture.

As for the bigger point, one of the reasons we are successful is because we interact with fans. I don't want to lose that because I think it is a big part of our success. However I have also realized that it simply isn't healthy for me to log on every single day and read multiple people being absolute dicks to me for simply cheering for a different team or being of a different political party. So I made the decision that if I am going to stay engaged with our audience (which I do think is necessary for our success) then I am just going to liberally block people whose only purpose in replying to me is to be a dick. Hence, you.

If its not you, then the principle is still the same. I do have thin skin. But at least I know that about myself. It is why if I ran, I had decided I wasn't going to allow my Twitter to be on my phone. Otherwise it would have been a disaster. I didn't run so now I can just block the John Durbins of the world and not have to worry about it.

I don't have a problem with the pic.

One of the main reasons most businesses are successful is because of the interaction with people.

It's "hard" or at least inconvenient to do many jobs and other things with a mask on.

Let's keep that in mind going forward.

Humans are pack animals. We're naturally inclined to interact in close proximity. Our species of ape have survived many viruses and other sicknesses over time, we'll survive this one.

Well, I dunno...maybe, just maybe, if you checked your mirror more often, you might realize that the perception you have of your own self importance relates to your perception of others "being a dick" to you.

What would you have done in a debate w/ Mitch when he started thumping your soul....tell the moderator you want to block him?

Just an FYI, but just because Matt Jones posts doesn’t mean this opens the flood gates for all you douchebag lurkers to post, especially those of you that are conservatives and are getting your one big chance to talk **** to a public liberal and have a hard-on about it.

Im in agreement that the DB that did that to Spears 100% needs outed. That heinous act caused several good posters to stop posting all together and completely changed the way I post. Still unbelievable someone would do something like that.

There is a reasonable and non-politicized way to evaluate the current COVID situation. You have to look hard to find it, but it seems no public figures, big or small, have.

Ca stay at home is one of the most strict in the Country and lasted weeks after many other states started to open. They still are having increased detected cases and up to 2nd most in the country. They're right in the middle of Tex/Fl in deaths per cap, which are all still low compared to national average, but obviously way behind any of the North East states. The whole, "South opened too soon" argument is silly. Lots of factors go into the increased cases including testing, protests, contract tracing, actual spread, re-openings, and IMO the most important LUCK. States lucky enough to avoid early infections are going to fair much better now as opposed to the disasters NY, NJ, MA, and Conn were in the Spring.

*Unlike the rest of us who are mostly just screaming at clouds about, shall I say, some of the inconsistencies we see with the virus reporting and corresponding government action...Matt has a real platform. So it would be nice if he was just a little more honest about where we are with this thing and how we got there (see Anth’s last post) rather than laying it all at the feet of Billy Jo Wildcat who posts on FB about his rights and may occasionally make a trip to Wal Mart sans mask (you know those people that built his business). They should wear their mask at this point but they aren’t the lone cause of the spread, just a drop in the bucket.

*So we are so sure everyone else has this thing beat? Seems like a toss away line people say on Twitter with zero evidence.

GOLF TAKES!

*86/76 and Dk’s invitational. Got the snap hooks day one and shot the worst round I’ve shot in...well I don’t remember. Sport can humble you. But I posted, didn’t break a club or even get upset and got a lesson almost immediately after the round. Bounced back in decent fashion as the conditions were tough yesterday (no one broke par).

*My boy Chase cleaned up, a closest to the pin, long drive and big money chipping contest. I won’t steal Dk’s thunder but he played great.

*Two weeks to channel my inner Eric Bledsoe for the Eli.

Colorado and Georgia had (to my knowledge) essentially the same re-opening plan on basically the same schedule. Colorado, however, has had far fewer cases than Georgia.

It is easy to speculate as to why (fewer people in air conditioning in CO, more people outdoors, healthier population, etc) but no one knows why and shouldn't act like it.

*Love GYERO drama. Why not?

*Wife's birthday was Saturday. Got together with some friends and scooted up to Gustavo's. After a few margs and multiple tall beers, it turned out to be a good time. Pool yesterday to sweat it out.

*Reversed seared some Ribeyes on the Traeger last night. They turned out great...as always.

* Homearama starts today. Kind of glad it's virtual. Wife is bummed because she likes to borrow (steal) decoration ideas.

*On a John Moreland musical kick.

*502 tripple seven..eleven...eleven.
