~20K at Bristol last night, Pti. That should throw the basement dwellers into full blown panic mode.

That said...hopefully other sports are paying attention, but doubtful.

~Masksteria is worse now than ever. Even a tissue over your face and a rubber band will please the nut jobs.

~Garcetti/Newsom or de Blasio/Cuomo.......toss up for which Mayor/Gov duo is the worst. LIberal ignorance knows no bounds and it is off the charts right now.

~Omelettes, homemade drop biscuits, and a Groth Chardonnay on tap for dinner tonight.

~Hopefully the weekend at Jack's place will be must see TV....#360

Stay safe and humble men....

That’s ice cold

Am I making things up here ?

I thought there was general chatter on here that Chad (who I’ve only met once briefly) was a writer of some kind and maybe even worked for a paper ?

PLEASE do not tell me I’ve “made up things” about internet acquaintances and then built a glade reality around those beliefs -

this is suddenly important to me

Failure to regularly clean the subways until way late in the game (early May) is an underrated omission.

That's my favorite. Well that and DeBlasio telling the public that the NYPD would pull swimmers out of the water.

* I hate tech but I like my Whoop strap. Makes it easier to just have a little reminder to get enough sleep, move, take a walk with dog(s)/kid(s) rather than watch tv, etc. Plus it lets you track stress, etc over long periods of time.

I love light beer, but Coors Light is pure piss. I don't recall much of anyone drinking it in college, but now it seems like everyone does. B/c it's a cool can/bottle?

Same for Banquet, which vanity Anth pretends to *worship* every summer b/c of the cool little hand grenade bottle. It's not very good beer, and certainly not deserving of being THE beer of choice for anyone, ever.

-I had really forgotten about the BB season until that article yesterday. I'm just not sure I can ever really have many positive thoughts other than maybe Richards/Quickley growth. Losing to Evansville, both games in Vegas, grinding away every game, Hagans ********, Whitney leaving. No thanks.

-I get why Cal was pissed but I personally LOVE those candid answers. We get so much PC canned nonsense that's actually refreshing when someone is truthful.

-Pad Thai last night. So good but damn it's a gut buster. Still feel like *** 14 hours later.

-Dog days are quickly approaching. Have fun melting.

-Destiny of the Republic by Candice Millard is and excellent read. She has such a readable flow. Anyway, crazy thing about Garfield, he would've absolutely survived, had his stubborn doctor used new sanitizing methods by Joseph Lister, rather than using a contaminated probe while searching for the the bullet. He also gave him really awful enemas with whiskey and bullion. Garfield basically rotted from the inside out as a result.

-Great set of randoms, wyvern.

-Speaking of, a company in Clearwater straight up stole our logo. Since we don't cross paths(yet) we haven't moved on it, but you bet I'm first to passive aggressively like all their FB posts. I put a lot of work into all details of that lovely(screw you SAE) polar bear. F*ckers. It obviously worked b/c now they're slightly altered their name. I really don't care about the name because it's really common but the logo is a straight rip.

-If we're doing history randos, I just read(The Soul of Baseball -Posnanki)during the negro league days, players would dress up as zulu warriors and use clubs as bats. Grass skirts. Dance. The works. o_O Jesus, and that was a really popular team. Same with the Cincinnati Ethiopian Clowns. Basically the Harlem Globetrotters of the baseball world.

I saw the Cincinnati Ethiopian Clowns at Headliners last year. Played some older deep cuts, overall good show, but the new lead guitarist just doesn’t have it. #RIPJimmyJam

* Anth's got me fiending to go visit both the Negro League Baseball Museum (Kansas City), and the Baseball Hall of Fame (Cooperstown).

Anyone who's ready for a road trip, drop me a line and I'm on the next flight.

* You've really gotta be a special kind of someone to flawlessly pull off either seersucker or a bow tie. The batting average on that look is somewhere around the Mendoza Line. Pretty shameful how many goobs fall short when trying to make it work.

* #1 gut buster of all-time = the hot salsa at Chipotle. If I have more than one of those little plastic cups with my chips, it's literally debilitating. Can't leave the house the next day. Unreal.

* I never really learned to score a baseball game, which is a regret. I'd happily be that old dork sitting down the 3rd baseline with a book in hand, meticulously jotting down every entry. Like a much less wise George Will.

* Salesforce CEO Mark Benioff says wearing masks can completely end COVID-19 within 3 weeks. Lol, okay bub.:rolleyes:

* NFL memes...

myles garrett was fined $45,263 for hitting mason rudolph in the head with his helmet. garrett just signed a $125 million deal, which means he can hit mason rudolph in the head 2,739 more times before he runs out of money.

[laughing]

* If Coors was simply called "Coors," not one single person you know would drink it. When they add "Banquet Beer" to the label, it's cool all of a sudden.

True story.

* Worst hangovers, by far = mexican restaurant margaritas. Dirt cheap tequila + tons of sugar is an awful combination.

* Correction, Wodie. Mich Lights are ONE dollar at the Casino Royale on The Strip. Best Western lobby bar, ftmfw.

* Titties.

Was in Vegas in January and spent all of the Chiefs v. Texans game boozing at The Wynn, paying $12 for Lite bottles. $100 later I cash out and walk down to the Flamingo for the Packers game where I enjoyed two 24oz. Bush Lights and a fireball shooter for an Alexander Hamilton.

Realized then I made the cardinal mistake of not riding around Vegas with bbdk to learn the ropes.

I absolutely loved the honest feedback from the coaches. It's effing up my alley.

Of course 96% of the people bitched after-the-fact that it was sour grapes, yada yada yada yada, Kentucky won the SEC outright, why didn't you beat us then lolol... just STFU and read it for what it is (an opposing coach's honest evaluation of our team's key players).

We had a really weird team/weird year and better UK teams before them didn't clean up the SEC reg season title with 2 games to spare so WTF. The rest of the league just sucked, clearly.

- He was my boyyyy all season and I took a ton of **** for it but I keep forgetting Keion Brooks is still on the squad. Nothing better when you see the young pups start to get it, the game begins to slow down and they find opps to pick their spots. Shame we didn't get to see how KB ultimately blossomed after a slow start.

- Again, how bad was Khalil Whitney? There is much more to the story. From what I've been told, dude was checked out LONG before he officially quit on the team. I need to go back and figure out what triggered his rise in the rankings from Top 100 guy ---> 5* freak. Did the recruitniks just piggy back each other to save face and move him up the board? He was good at absolutely 'nathan'. Even in easy open-floor/fast break situations he was a mess. Couldn't even have that. SMH.

Joel Justus didn't win ****, and all those guys with less than stellar NBA projections are his recruits.

#Bossman falling out the car going 120 as a 5 year old? I'm telling you, SEC is in for a very rude awakening this fall.

-Been to Cooperstown and it's in fact VERY awesome. Debating a late summer quick run up there with the boys as opposed to our summer away game. So dumb I didn't go to the NLHOF. Oh well.

-Grandpa taught me how to score a game in the blistering hot cheap seats at Redbird games in old Cardinal Stadium. I still remember some but have forgotten a lot of it.

I vaguely remember him destroying a couple all star games and shooting up afterwards

I mean, I don’t really get why it’s banquet beer and not just Coors, but the golden Colorado beer is good. I had a 30 pack over 4th of July weekend and every time I handed somebody one they looked excited.

That being said, I’m still firmly on the Labatt blue train.

Was looking forward to MLB but Dish does not have Fox Sports Cincinnati. Then I looked at MLB.TV and the Reds are blacked out on there. Any other ideas? I may have to go underground stream.

Anth, did you copyright or trademark it or anything?
No. It's a long story but basically not worth dealing with since we're not in their territory, they're really small, and don't appear to be expanding. I have a really strong paper trail showing I clearly designed it and 30 years of the bear logo. I monitor them daily so if they start moving we'll probably have to get nasty. Otherwise I have absolutely no desire to run any type of business in Florida. Especially service related.

I needed our logo one day on the fly so I just google image searched and was like WTF? Kinda flattering, tbh.

We pretty much had to grind out games because whenever it looked like we were going to push out a lead our bum *** pg coughed up the ball 2 or 3 times in a row. Good thing Maxey was pretty darn good at getting buckets off the bounce late in games.
