I’m shifting my focus from COVID to QAnon. I’ll
Let anth be the resident expert in here on COVID, gonna find my own lane.
I've been really struggling on what subject to divert my attention to moving forward. Open to suggestions. About over the rona and if Woken/Tucker get the sports canceled I need something else.

I don't know anything about QAnon.

I've been super focused on the OPES/BurgerFi merger because I have a financial stake in it.

*Dragging a little *** from the Member/Guest this weekend, but we had a hell of a time, except for one scary/sad event.

* 41-year-old guy, in great shape, was at the pool with his wife and kids. He goes over to talk to a buddy, starts coughing, doesn't get better, he leans up against the fence and apparently goes into convulsions and passes out. I'm on the opposite side of the pool and didn't see what was going on until my buddy's wife, who is an ER nurse, walks over there to start helping. They give him chest compressions for probably five minutes before the ambulance shows up. They then have to shock him twice, and race him to the hospital. No one knows exactly what happened yet, but apparently he coded for a bit of time, and wasn't breathing for 2-6 minutes. I've heard he's on a ventilator at the hospital now, and no one knows for sure if he is going to make it or not. Pretty damn sad and scary to see. I felt AWFUL for his kids, who are under 10, and were standing there in shock watching him get chest compressions until another friend of ours took the kids away from there and to the clubhouse. Prayers for his family if you're into that.

*The actual golf was a good time. First day was 9 holes scramble and 9 holes modified alternate shot. My partner and I didn't play great and shot +1. 4 shots back in a 13 team flight.

*Sunday we played much, much better. Shot -9 with 9 holes scramble and 9 holes low ball. We had bought half our team in our flights calcutta, so ended up winning the flight and calcutta for a nice little payout of $650 each. I also got closest to the pin on a 185 yard par 3 (52 inches), so got a $50 gift certificate to the pro shop for that.

*As someone who almost never wins jack **** playing golf, yesterday was pretty sweet.

Correct, yes. It was pretty damn bad. I'm sure a lot of doctors and EMTs and such are used to that stuff, but to see it happen randomly was not good. Especially not good when the people trying to keep him alive know him and are friends with him. I'll say this though, if those people weren't around when it happened there is a 100% chance he's dead. They absolutely worked their asses off trying to save him.

First "The Far Side" returns and now this son of a ***** is creating a burger empire. The 80s are back!

You are complaining about a thread that no one wants you to read, nor post in.

Seems like you bouncing would solve every issue.

You are probably right. Me bouncing would solve every issue.

But it is Murica, so i will NOT. But in all sincerity, thank you for your concern. Glad I have complete and total strangers like you looking out for me and every one else. We need more people like you.

Was this in Owensboro?

Terrible... a friend of ours told us about that. She said she was one of the first ones to administer CPR. She is pretty shook up about it.

It’s one thing when you’re at work and kind of mentally in gear for that stuff, it’s another when you’re relaxing and having fun and then have to snap into it.

Eventually you just get used to people trying to die around you all the time.

2020

ps. Maybe Anth could take EMT training for his new hobby. Could come in handy.

Isn’t there some kind of law that makes you liable or something if you try to help and it goes bad?

I thought it was if you try NOT to help, and also mock the victim. But if you kill a guy while trying to help him, there's probably a law about that too. I think the correct course of action would be to pretend to help, but don't touch the person, and maybe even film yourself so everybody knows you had good intentions and in no way were responsible for something bad.

Football is just tough because there's no way to distance, you have old *** coaches, so many players, so many ancillary staff members, and P5 colleges must have that premium seat/suite revenue to survive so they can't go fan-less for long. Logistically it's just the worst sport for something like this. Someone will give it a go. I just don't see the rush to make any decisions.

I think the best thing to do at this point is just move college football to spring. Why rush back? Rushing back only creates revenue problems and potentially health problems.
They should admit the farce of NCAA and fly all SEC teams to New Zealand for the season. Let them take online classes and play in Rugby stadiums, IMO.

Scratch does the Haka, takes his head off and it’s Tai Wynyard. Then he says, “Life’s a ...blast” (like the “Last Boyscout” TV edit) and throws an axe into the air and shoots it with a handgun to signal kickoff.

Would be dope.

Well if they play in the spring none of the NFL hopefuls will play. This could benefit UK’s roster of “3 stars who play up to draft pick” players, which imo make us the SEC favorite this spring.

WELL WE COULD BE PLAYING LIKE NORMAL THIS YEAR IF NOT FOR {insert name of Wal-Mart on the poor side of town} REFUSING TO WEAR MASKS.

Did you get this from KSR? Because they are all in on masks and decrying that this would be over if we everyone had worn one?

It’s just hard for the spoiled masses we’ve enabled for the last 30 or so years to realize we know absolutely nothing about this virus and our supposed leadership is chasing its tail because it’s an effing election year. So yeah, we’re pretty much fu&ked all the way around.

On the other hand, my research tells me we are really close to “the storm” when we finally take down the child trafficking adenochrome cabal that’s been operating among the political and entertainment elite. Also, Wayfair.
