I had a coyote in my back yard a year and a half ago and see deer and rabbits nearly every night on my runs in Veterans Park. Lexington is essentially the great outdoors.
Have not spoke out on racial tensions going on, but Beyonce's mom (really ?) is speaking out about Breonna Taylor's death because the KY AG Daniel Cameron (a black man) had a engagement party over the WEEKEND on his own time and was not working on the case for Breonna's death. Of course she mentioned he was engaged to a white woman but was quick to say that did not have a factor in it, he can chose who ever he wants to marry. OK, 2 points, one, the party was on a weekend, 2, if it is not because he is marrying a white woman, why bring it up ??? Hmmmm, so now black leaders are not excluded from the wrath, especially if they are marrying a white woman. No, there is no racism involved there.

What else is there to investigate or work on in the case of Breonna Taylor? Cops showed up at the door on warrant, busted down the door, were shot at by her boyfriend, and when they returned fire they killed her in the process. That's pretty much the long and short of it. Is there some secret piece of evidence Beyonce's mom thinks they're going to find or something? Charge the cops with a crime or say the case is closed. The end.

- Only Wednesday night, but it feels like the holiday weekend has already set in. Good buzz going. Don’t think I’ll last at the office much past lunch tomorrow.
- Think I’m going to break down and head to the fireworks store tomorrow afternoon. Get five minutes worth of 500 gram cakes and some small stuff for the boys. Might as well get my redneck on.
- My old man said the humidity is moving out this weekend. Going to be hot and dry Arizona-like conditions. I don’t watch the local news so I’ll take his word for it. But I can get behind 90, sunny and dry.
- Speaking of my old man, had lunch with him today at his shop. Witnessed him fix a dent in a friend’s truck in exchange for an ounce of fresh homegrown. That’s a good life system.
- I’ve never been on social media of any sort, and I consider this one of the best decisions of my life. Get everything I need from catpaw and the AP wire.
- Speaking of which, if anyone is desirous of an objective, timely and free source of just-the-facts-ma’am news, I suggest bookmarking https://apnews.com/. Great way to stay informed without all the ********.

You’re right Anth. There’s a little bit of that in any journalistic effort, I think just as a natural result of the folks who are drawn to that career. (I was a journalism major, I get it). But notwithstanding that, AP is probably the best out there, in my opinion, for basic and upfront news. At least of the major sources.
