Feel like I'm in the loony bin. Every politician, social media warriors, woke personality, Hollywood voice was declaring the end of days and shaming anyone that dared step out of their house or suggest loosening restrictions on lockdown. 7 days later they're encouraging everyone that will listen to gather in large crowds to scream and yell for hours on end. If anyone can clarify, please let know.

NBA is supposed to start back up on July 31. I don't really care but if it allows college football and basketball some cover to open up, I'm
fer it!

So apparently Floyd was Covid positive. Of course he was!

"The decedent was known to be positive for 2019-nCoV RNA on 4/3/2020. Since PCR positivity for 2019-nCoV RNA can persist for weeks after the onset and resolution of clinical disease, the autopsy result most likely reflects asymptomatic but persistent PCR positivity from previous infection."

Great those celebrities are bailing out "protestors" this week when last week they were shaming business owners trying to survive.

NASA is tracking an asteroid the size of a football stadium that will come within 3.1 million miles of earth on Saturday. We just need that sucker to change course a bit.

Mattis going real hard in the paint, while surprising, seems like a big deal. Many of my most ardent Trump supporting friends have been relatively quiet about it. Good to see he is still respected in spite of the difference of opinion.

General Mattis is by all accounts one of the best military brains in the world. I was able to meet him while serving in Iraq and got to spend 10 minutes just talking one on one.

My wife is throwing a retirement party type thing for one of her employees that has worked at her business for 30 years. It’s just a small gathering tonight at an outside patio where we will social distance as best we can. Me and my wife went back and forth for an hour last night about whether she should take a picture and post it on her facebook business page so the clients know about it and can celebrate the employee. The employee is a receptionist so most people know her. My wife was worried that we might get shamed for having a fun party at this time (and not posting a black square or for being around each other, etc). We still haven’t made a decision about whether to post it or not. That’s where we are as a society right now, good stuff!

I should also add that I was viewed as being "potentially" insubordinate because of my views on the war. Nevertheless, he agreed with me on all issues...yet I still wasn't allowed to speak to the reporter imbedded with our unit by my company commanders.

If I am a large company and truly care about enacting change (spoiler alert: they don't) I'd be posting information about what we've done to help communities and those who are suffering.

Better than a hollow comment shot into an echo chamber.

Large companies care about making money. They see this as a way to make more money. That should tell everyone, including the rioters, what that says about the strength of their position relative to their claims. But that would require self-awareness.

Drew Brees really feeling the heat today. He gives a very measured, reasoned, deeply personal, emotional, thoughtful, respectful, kind, open hearted, articulate statement.

What a jerk. You’d think he would know better.

Southland attempted to do that and made a video on how they help black people by telling everyone they minister to the worst neighborhoods, worst performing schools, and to single mothers.

Kind of missed the mark on that one.

-Daily reminder that bars are still closed, restaurants are below sustainable capacity, movie theaters closed, pools closed, day cares closed and when reopening will be below sustainable capacity, no plan for fall school schedule, theme parks closed, sports cancelled, motels and airlines empty and unemployment at 40+% in Kentucky.

-Shameful that during Lexington's peaceful protests last night yet another out of state operative was planted to stop a car, drag the mother and father out of the car, and beat the sh*t out of them while their 3 kids watched. CDB I guess.

-Appears I was on to something with the cancel culture. Drew Brees(dumbass), Mike Norvell, Dabo, TE from Oregon St. Assuming this is just the beginning.

-Next pivot back to shaming people who would like to fully open their business or get kids back in school should be fun to watch.

-After listening to that Jordan guy, the most recent winner of Alone, on Rogan I decided to watch a few episodes last night. I'm way more confident in my success on one of those shows than I should be. I have basically no ability in surviving alone in the wilderness for extended periods but f*ck if I don't talk myself into thinking I could. Good interview though, really interesting character. His non-comedian interviews are great and the only ones I'll listen to.

-Sweet, Kroger Field will be the in person voting site. Perfect. Walk my *** right on over there to vote IN PERSON, safely.

-I know 4 people that WON'T like this post.

Surprising. If I’d expect any institution to have self awareness, it would be a mega-church.
