Shootings don't help. It's going to be an even worse week here now. Seems Lexington's approach of deescalating was smarter.

What part are you missing...you shoot at someone (law enforcement) you will get return fire. Geography is irrelevant.

Just discovered the Cloverfield paradox/time warp movie franchise - I think the newest one is about 2 years old ...better late than never

I just got ordained at the universal church of light online - friends in Tucson asked me to officiate their wedding in October so that’s a first

you can call me Rev now if you like

some foods make “the list” where you just can’t stand to eat them anymore for whatever reason ....mine has expanded past Krystal and now includes shrimp, jello, cashews and tequila ....

linguine is the dominant pasta on this planet

Richmond looks like a bad place to live - no offense

Can someone explain why there’s a Georgetown north of Lexington but my GPS also takes me to north Lexington (inside new circle) and calls that “Georgetown “ too?

small ball I’m following this year -

Morehead football and

Lincoln Memorial Univ basketball (robbed of an almost certain D2 title last season)

So there’s a Cumberland university AND a University of the Cumberlands apparently.....

weather is currently refusing to budge from PERFECTION, my friends ....

amen

Lexington Police didn't have to deescalate anything because the protest, at least last night, was so well organized. According to the HL Twitter they announced what the plan was to the crowd before it started and continually updated the crowd where the march was going and anyone who acted out was called out.

If Facebook is any indication it's likely because the Lexington area has the highest percentage of suddenly woke elementary school teachers and sorority girls in the country. Probably too busy monogramming their Black Lives Matter yoga mat to actually riot.

Wait until Wyvern tries navigate the seemingly infinite amount of Ironworks Pikes out there. I'm not even sure it has been fully mapped.

LMU becoming an absolute power is one of the more befuddling turns for everyone in our generation from the area.

campus has grown exponentially and is more beautiful than ever, brother -

Agree on the befuddlement - really applies to the whole trajectory of growth for that institution

It’s a happy befuddlement though ....with what appears to be festive hope springing up like rabid kudzu all around - I like to think that describes life as well

My two female dogs are recently spayed but aggressively humping each other ——

is that more or less normal?

the best part is the look of abject confusion both get once they mount up ....it’s like......”I know I drive us here but ....I’m not sure what to do NOW”

I found Matt Jones “KS Bar”
Anyone been ?

It's taking you to Georgetown Rd, that goes to Georgetown.

Awwwcrapdamnit

that makes sense

I swear the GUI showed “GEORGETOWN” in bold black letters arched to fit inside the upper curve of NewCircle like it was a neighborhood though — I thought maybe there had been a turf war

I have THE worst directional sense of any mammal on this planet - won’t go into details - but if you see a white man with white hair in a white Nissan missing one hub cap with Arizona plates YELLING at himself while driving......just show some grace

the horse park looks cool

going to try bottle rockets from paddle boats at Jacobsen park soon - life’s too short not to

I’m on day FIVE of watching no news whatsoever. I’ve been sparingly looking at this thread as well tbh. I’m not on social media either.

And I’m killing it. Going home and just relaxing in my white person suburbia heaven. Playing with the kiddos. Think I might grill tonight. Life is stress free and fun. Beautiful weather.

Message boards - GYERO in particular - are an entirely different animal than Facebook and Twitter. The latter two are expressly designed to be addictive as hell while appealing to your worst impulses in the process. Facebook, in particular, has turned my old man into a lunatic.

If my pops ever learned how to use the internet before he passed, and found FB I honestly could not have taken it. He already believed about everything he heard any way. So seeing it in print on the computer screen would have made everything 100% true.

Market's up big again today. Honestly, violence, destruction, murder, and mayhem is a solid trade for a big day with the Dow.

I think I might start putting a little money in a Chinese total market index fund. I can hate the commies and make a little money off the pricks at the same time, imo.

SGN Randos:

-Took a few too many Ls on Thurs/Fri horsey gambol and stayed away over the weekend other than the group bet. Good call, work this weekend so I'll lick my wounds and jump back in.

-PreSchool graduation was kinda a bummer. They were all cute but it was rushed, looked like it was about to storm, and a real missed opportunity for cuteness overload if it was normal.

-Ate out twice this weekend in actual restaraunts. Once with Fam and once for our 12TH ANNIV. (Shew. That's just wild.) Slowly getting back to normal.

-Nothin Bunt Cakes are ridiculous.

-ALERT: Kyle Tucker has removed twitter from his phone and will not be putting it back on there.

-Weird none of our main sports can figure this out. TBH the college sports, granted slave labor is easier to organize I suppose, have done better.

-Lance 30:30. Meh. B+. All that was regurgitated for the most part and I feel like they just basically glossed over everything and mainly focused on him being an *******. He was a little more open about his doping and mostly trying to win people over. Almost no extended detail on the races and nothing on the way they got/took the drugs during races(which is the most interesting part of the story). All those heads at UCI, TDF, Nike, Oakley, Post Office, USA Cycling were all complicit. Could've been 2-3 more episodes to cover everything. Oh well, I still kinda like the guy and his TDF podcast is phenomenal.

And yeah, Landis looked awful. Poor dude. Still kind of a ***** but whatves.

-Weather the last 3 days. MERCY. Was outside basically the entire time. So nice.

~Azur patio on Saturday...few less tables but they have a bigger outdoor area now so it wasn't really noticeable.

~Hamburg Y opened back up today...5:30 came early but nothing beats an early morning workout. Outside a few less machines to be used, the reduced capacity allowance at that hour is a non issue.

~$600 spent at Total Wine since March 14th...for 2 people. Ouch.

~Looking for a new handgun but not at Bud's retail pricing...if anyone has one on their 4Sale shelf, email me.

Stay safe, everyone.
