Lol, we drove passed it and that Centro place in the pavilion. Both looked packed. Believe they skirted the bar restrictions by selling deli sandwiches. The video wasn't that bad tbh, especially if you've ever seen a college bar at night. More love needs to be given to the old dude posted at the corner of the bar taking it all in.

To Anth's school start point, those leaders don't know when to start either. When Andy says to have a July start plan, many have tried but between teacher burnout getting through the end of this year and a good number of parents unwilling to send their kids into the unknown, pretty safe to assume a July start is very unlikely.

That's kinda what I figured. We're talking just over 7 weeks to start of the next year.

Not really the unknown for the kids, btw. We have pretty clear demographics on this... teachers over 60 would be the issue.

All true. Bigger dilemmas now are things like:

Really? Six feet apart in the classrooms? How will we stagger schedules to accommodate some students in the buildings while others aren't?

Students and staff have to wear masks? How to handle when some don't or won't? Do schools have to provide those?

Can't afford to run a bus if I'm forced to put one kid per seat and leave vacant seats between.

...and on and on. #schoolyero

Big high five (without contact) to the people who are recommending masks in youth summer sports. Fatalities from suffocation or overheating won't count toward Covid-19 death totals!

Oldest has a friend who’s in BIG TIME cheer and they were told the gym is opening up but only for conditioning and only if you wear a mask. Big “lol nope just keep sending us the Zoom invites” from them.

I have many friends that work at shady gators bar At the lake of the Ozarks and the photos they sent me were crazy. They broke all their records but I really hope they don’t see a spike in the next few weeks because I’m worried the same will happen here.

Oh for sure, people, at least 20-ish to 50-ish, are over it I feel and don’t care anymore. I’m with you though, I wear what they ask. At the gym (most people aren’t), grocery, restaurants, etc.

For all NKY/Cinti hot wing lovers: This weekend, Northside Yacht Club has a created a “Yacht Ones” hot wings eating contest. They partnered with 7 other restaurants to make different levels of hot sauce. Pick up the wings and record yourself trying to eat them while answering included trivia questions.

Pretty awesome promotion, IMO.

“I refuse to play for millions of dollars”, given the current situation, is a a great position for the players to take.

IDGAF if it’s the “right” thing to do, but sometimes you’re over a barrel and have to bite the bullet. The perception is the players are being entitled pussies, and if they don’t play this season no one is going to care if they had the technically correct stance or not.

MFer I just want to watch some baseball

First time on Twitter in a couple of days and I see Matt Jones cancelled the guy that hung Beshear in effigy. Congrats I guess.

It was very stupid but not sure the guy should have been fired.

I asked Mrs Dougan to buy me some Marsala wine - which is a dry fortified wine from Sicily - to make Chicken Marsala. She came back with Marcella wine which is a sweet wine made from Concord grapes at Huber’s in Indiana. [sick]

The terse “I asked the guy at Kroger for Marsala, that’s what he gave me” from her is what really got to me though. It made me realize that my family doesn’t appreciate the culinary magic I make happen nightly in the kitchen over here.

* I dropped whatever expendable money I had the day the NCAA tournament was cancelled into VDIGX and have kept at it through COVID. Feeling pretty good about that. (PTI and Paduke: I do not want stock tips.)

The American economy is a truly beautiful thing. I have a feeling that it is going to go gangbusters. Americans hate few things more than being told what to do.

* I wear a mask only out of respect for business owners. That's it. I already didn't cough or sneeze on things in public. But there are a lot of idiots, I guess.

Anyone who tries to tell me wear one outside or while I'm working out is going to get a scalding talking to. I hope they film it and I hope they put it on henbook.

* If anything comes out of this, I hope that America stops electing people who talk to the electorate like literal retards. Also, it would be nice if fringe groups stopped being dickheads. I can both despise Andy as governor and not hang him in effigy, thank you very much.

* Random UK memory that makes me laugh: Wayne Turner getting lost on a snowmobile in Alaska.

* COVID in synopsis: we let hipsters decide things and it is f***ing terrible.

* We admitting we are in a cold war with China yet? Because we are. We didn't even know or care but we better start f***ing with those commie ***** pretty quick and hard. Kind of amazing that such an awful, awful regime can still exist in the 21st century and that it can so easily buy American institutions like the NBA, etc.

The onus for that lies with Matt?

False.

The irony is, the guy will probably ***** about how his first amendment right was violated by getting fired. Play stupid games...

According to Ryan Lemond a white guy hanging another white guy in effigy was racially motivated and we can't be doing that in todays society so of course he should be fired.

In reality all he did was bring negative attention to the state while making Beshear into a sympathetic figure, so whatever his goal was he ended up failing miserably. Never like seeing someone lose their job but when you do something that dumb I can't feel sorry for you.

The real winners in all of this are the folks at Huffman auto who no longer have to work with that psycho.
