The ridiculousness of the mask wearing mandate, which is the rule for the next two weeks here:

Lass and I walked up to the fancy hot dog joint last night for dinner, which was open only in their outdoor/patio space. We tried to get a table, but were denied since we didn't have masks with us. Honestly, we really don't know all the rules, so we're cool with it and just order takeout. Thankfully, they let us sit down (at a table designated specifically for togo orders) while we waited for our food, and were nice enough to even serve us a beer. Somehow that's ok for maskless rubes like us. It was right next to a regular table, which was occupied by about 15 people -- every single one eating, drinking, and maskless. In fact, there wasn't a single person at any of the 5 or 6 tables wearing a mask. Turns out the only time you needed a mask was....

- walking thru the door to your seat (about 10-15 feet)
- when using the restroom

[laughing]

The stupidity of this mask wearing mandate is just incredible.

Around a month ago, our company mandated all employees wear a mask, which is unprecedented.

At the time, we had ZERO COVID-19 cases. Since we've been mandated to wear these petri dish strap-ons, we now have 3 positive and awaiting tests for 4 more.

Not saying wearing a mask is the reason, but not saying it isn't either.

We've had one tech test positive. That's 1 of 35 that never stopped traveling.

They did have a mask requirement on one construction site. That makes sense when they're already spread out, it's 95 degrees and they're outside.

For convenience it makes sense. Nothing else proven other than a slight may help.

Are people surprised from the push back? 70 days of isolation from 4% death rate, 2 million deaths and your parents will die to wear a mask because it may help even though we said 2 months ago it wouldn't.

You know the only thing dumber than the mandate? You. So you tried to enter a 2nd place without a mask this week and were denied again? K. Go buy a f*cking mask and put it in your pocket. The establishments didn't make the rules, they're just trying to scrape by keeping their business open during this stupid time, while following these impossibly stupid recommendations and praying not to be shamed on social media or sued by an employee/client. Be a decent person, help them out by not being a contrarian *****, and just bring the mask with you. They have enough nonsense to deal with right now. Not to mention you notoriously cough and clear your throat.

8 of us went out last night, we all packed a mask just in case, weren't asked once to wear it.

That's pretty much it. Disagree with it, argue the effectiveness of it but if you are stepping on your own dick because of pride rather than convenience then you're only hurting yourself.

Do you, though. #Merica

Super easy to throw a buff around your neck and pull it up when you enter an establishment. That way you don’t have to wear a stupid looking hospital mask and you can look quite fashionable as well, all while respecting the “rules”.

I’ll tell you who’s worse than Andy: JCPS raising property taxes 9.5% right now. And frankly, from what I can tell my kids are getting a better education in my basement from my wife homeschooling them two hours a day than they do at school (although my wife may have to be committed if this keeps up).

Gonna run 15 miles today. I swear. Maybe right after this post. Well, maybe after lunch. Before dinner for sure.

Looking at a return trip to Rainier to finally summit that thing next summer. Who's in?

The mask problem is because idiots are saying it may help and you're a murderer if you don't try.

As they post to Facebook driving down the road.

Just read that one to my whole family - awesome

GYREOE gives and gives

PTI plants the seed you quoted him - and, similar to the butterfly effect, a family off of Tate’s creek laughs uproariously....

life is good

Here in South Florida (Broward Co.) you cant get into a store or restaurant without a mask. And it’s been that way for several weeks. Carry the mask in your car or pocket and put it on for the limited time you have to wear it. Whether it is effective, who knows?
And Broward and Miami-Dade are about to reek havoc on Monroe when they open up the roadblock. Not excited about it. Worried we’re going to have to shut down a second time with a sizable increase in cases.

AOC (not the rep) reportedly wants a 10 foot radius around every court attendee with mandatory masks. A courtroom with a capacity of 60 will hold 7.

Efficient.

*Returned from a 3 miler......walk. It's a start.

*Cool night planned, it weather accommodates. Going to get takeout and head to the amphitheater with a cooler full of beer and a margarita kit. Neighbor and fam is joining. He's a bourbon guy so I may pack some Eagle for the evening too.

Come out and have a beer, Wayne. 15 miles earns you a few. Besides, you may be able to see us from your porch.

*Talent on display today. Was telling a guy at work about the 'sights" and he asked if he thinks my wife looks at the dudes. Who cares? Can't take away my joy.

Anth --> you can kindly float your wop *** back across the ocean to Italy, for all I care. My ancestors fought and died for this country so I can live my life grumpy, entitled, and self-absored in peace, not so I can have my god given rights stripped by some tyrannical government. Today, on this Memorial Day weekend, I honor my fellow countryman by standing up to the oppression of quick casual restaurant hostesses across the land. I won't stand for it any longer. If I want to flaunt my ignorance in their face, then by god I'll do it wrapped all up in the stars and stripes. Don't tread on me, you f'ing guinea.

:uzi::uzi::uzi::uzi:

(real talk: the rules are very ambiguous, every establishment is adhering in a completely unique manner, i do typically sport the buff look just in case, i'm very considerate to service industry folks, i totally get it that they're only doing a CYA to avoid karen dialing up 311, and i tip extremely well. it doesn't make the localized rule any less absurd)

After everyone in court facilities have been together for the past 3 months with no mask requirements, NOW, beginning June 1, AOC says masks are required for everyone in the building. That's some fine bureaucratic management right there.

Country has some amazing creative minds, logisticians, planners, etc yet we have a former bar tender and other dolts that have never held a relevant job in their life making these impossible decisions. Only took the IRS and DOL 6 weeks to sort out their PPP plan. Keep these great ideas coming. Too bad they're wearing masks and not muzzles.

-Buffalo Trace is typically Mash Bill #1, but I got a group pick Buffalo Trace that is from the Mash Bill #2.

Probably open that tonight if we can finalize my wife’s new Telluride deal.

-Martin’s BBQ, dude seems to be a huge fan of my bourbon so I’ll try his Q tonight.

-Received a letter that the Trailor in my driveway is not neighborhood appropriate and I need to do something about it at my convenience. Well 2 weeks and it still isn’t convenient at all until I can donate junk to goodwill to clean out the garage for space.

So Mr HOA man, GFY I’m still in Bullitt County from what I can tell!

Disney maybe opening back up June 5, which means I won’t have to reschedule the trip again:)

- Maybe the best cover of one of my favorite’s

Our state turned governance of the court system over to a centralized agency where 99.999% of the employees have never actively participated in a court proceeding.
