To each their own and all that, but from my vantage point, that’s a ****** take, Wayne. The Sun Also Rises has a good claim to GOAT novel of modern literature.

We had to read “The Sun Also Rises” in high school and I couldn’t get through it. In February I went to the Hemingway house in Key West and it sort of inspired me to give the book another chance. So I got the audible version of it, but it just knocks me out every time I listen to it. I like the “idea” of that book and Paris and Spain are awesome, but good lord it’s boring.

- The post-Derby in & out of consciousness nap set to the backdrop of afternoon baseball would really hit the spot about now.

- The Alex Smith story - 'Project 11' was damn good. I had no clue he went through 17 surgeries and doctors seriously contemplated and at one point encouraged amputation, calling it the equivalent of stepping on a landmine. Some of the visuals [sick]

Also, the Redskins and Dan Snyder don't deserve a humble guy like that around their organization. Not at all bitter at the thought of his career being done and just happy to be able to run around with his kids and tag his smokeshow wife. Pretty much the opposite of everything that clown has brought to the District.

No clue why ESPN buried it late on a Friday night?

- Metallica's countrified version of Blackened -> Nope.

- Late to the game but snagged a Polar hr monitor and two things - it's not a kludgy as expected and it definitely enhances the Apple Watch readout.

- F the first point. Just gonna post up on the patio with some tunes and hair of the dog.

Drunk horsey gambol always works out. For proof, I've lost a wad of cash twice after a nice hit at Derby. I also ate my friend Lewis' winning Smarty Jones ticket in 2004.
Berto I’m guessing? He’s an awesome guy.

Live a block from it on Whitehead. It’s a cool tour. The lighthouse across the street is cool too.

Went paddling with the new gal pal yesterday and then hangout in the pool with all her friends the rest of the night. Great day/night.

Higgs beach all day today with friends, volleyball nets still not up. Too windy for frisbee.

Been on a series Dirty Heads kick lately, they’re really good and laid back.

Don’t really care at this point because everyone is all over each other at Publix so what’s the point but I am completely over anything saying anything about social distancing.

Reverse sear is the way to go for a home cooked steak. I’d put a prime ribeye from Fresh Market cooked this way up against a prime steakhouse. I can’t get filets or strips to taste as good though.

They've done a great job highlighting how big of a jackass Krause was and with five episodes left, I have no doubt he'll come off even worse.

Will never forget meeting Sir Charles. On the dance floor at a club in Scottsdale back in the late 90’s, was eying Jenna Jameson at the bar when I backed into what I thought was a wall, nope just Charles Barkley. I mean, I got some broad shoulders but damn, just a massive human being. Turned around and looked up at him.

“I’m sorry Charles Barkley.”

He chuckled. Couldn’t have been nicer.

Random, but I've just been scrolling through our football team's depth chart for like 10 minutes. We need a football season. We could really be just nasty. Zero holes up and down the roster. And there's depth on depth at every position. Stoops has us set up so well.

I knew the Alex Smith documentary would be tough to watch, but crikey, it's just brutal what they had to do to his leg.

Edit: Was reminding me of pics & videos I've seen of rattlesnake bites, but it just kept getting worse.

Don't lie Doc. You are the guy he threw out the window, aren't you?

Then a cup of ice flew towards them, hit Carrington in the face and knocking her off her chair. That’s when Barkley decided to step in, and it ended with Lugo going through the window. Multiple witnesses said they saw Lugo throw the cup of ice, while Lugo denied it. The next day, the judge asked Barkley if he had any regrets.

“Yeah, I regret we were on the first floor.”

“I’m always a target, but I’ll never back down. The public does not have a right to do things to you. If you bother me, I’m going to whip your ***. The guy threw ice in my face, and I slammed his *** into the window. I’m not denying that. I defended myself. He got what he deserve."

UK did make Charles Barkley sit on the floor and cry after a game though.

A potential SEC East winner being thwarted by a GD pandemic would be peak UK football. Really the chef's kiss of "F*** YOUs" by the football gods.

The earth is healing.

The best part of that is the SJW’s in the replies that actually believe this is a failed human tracking attempt by some sinister person/cartel that has trained small monkeys to ride on tiny motorcycles and snatch toddlers away from their families. “Why else is it attached to a rope???”
