Yeah my nostalgia for college stops short of 21st floor Kirwan Tower. That place sucked, good riddance.
Especially awesome for those of us on the 19th floor when some drunk redneck would pull the fire alarm on a subzero 2:30 am in February. Nothing better than standing in front of the Pike house for two hours swaddled in a blanket awaiting for the Fire Dept to clear the alarm.

I see the SEC Network already deleted the tweet of a video making fun of Terry Wilson.

Morgan Newton didn't deserve that. Much less a guy who is 12-3 as a starter and currently recovering from a serious injury.

Yup, could have had all Doc’s memories without having to crap in a community stall without a door because some drunk meathead ripped it off or shower just a few feet from other dudes. Still have nightmares about falling to my death in those elevators.

Honestly, we just didn’t have a good group on that floor. Would have been much more tolerable with a cooler floor mates.

Guess there were perks to living in the honors dorm. Nerds, but no meatheads...and the fraternity experience was great for me.

Loved Ehrlich on the show, but he pissed me off with his dogshit drugged out “performance” at comedy off broadway. Sad. Little salty still.

Rewatching “Silicon Valley” -

The “you just brought piss to a **** fight” line had me [roll].

Possibly a Top 10 sitcom of all-time.

That was an absolutely perfect scene. One of the few times I recall watching something by myself, and laughing hysterically. Had to go back and watch it multiple times bc I lost it as soon as Erlich threw Church candy's bike into the bushes.

Deciding between the absolute hell of Haggin Hall or the other kind of absolute hell of Kirwin/Blanding towers was a true dilemma.

I paved the road to the Honors Program Dorm for your ***. Seriously.

Raymond Betts, RIP (I think; if not, then Best Wishes).

Patterson Hall. 1 year was enough.

Jefferson’s Grand Selection bourdeaux cask finish is fantastic.

I spent a lot of weekends in a Blanding Tower and it was a 5 star hotel compared to the dorm with no carpet and no AC I lived in in ‘02.

There were multiple nights where I woke up to chickens in the hallway.

Stayed in Blanding III during Cal's father-son basketball camp in June 2011.

I was amazed at how it had not changed since I attended UK in the mid-80s. Not the carpet, not the furnishings, nothing.

My then-9 year old son was amazed at how it was the shittiest place he had ever spent the night, before or since.

(You mean this was how people went to the bathroom and showered back then?)

Yes. Someone would go to a farm, get 2 or 3 chickens and let them loose in the dorm hall.

Someone also hid a deer head in the drop ceiling above the room of someone they didn’t like.

It’s what happens when you go to a terrible small college in a small town.

My first year in Haggin Hall I lived with a guy who I mistakenly thought was going to be a dorky Korean or Japanese kid based upon how I was mistakenly pronouncing his last name. I open the door to a 6’4” 250 lb Nigerian who was a LB on the football team (sacked TF out of Rex Grossman my senior year and made the SC top ten). My face of shock and terror must have been apparent when I opened the front door and saw him for the first time based on his reaction.

Highlights included him slamming the door every.single.morning. on his way to 6 AM practice, me stepping on his Muslim prayer rug accidentally multiple times causing me to be almost murdered, and him taking a huge **** in the community shower.

Blanding Tower was 16 floors of girls and 6 floors of guys. My awkward *** failed to really capitalize on that.

Anything cool happening on Saturday?

* Frozen Pina Coladas and other frozen fru fru drinks: only on beach vacations.

* As a member of a high risk group, I believe that it is my responsibility to keep myself safe.
I am smart and informed and I have the tools I need to stay safe.

I was all in with the safety measures needed to flatten the curve and also because IDIOTS, but now we need to open the world back up gradually and let those who need to be careful be responsible for theirselves.

That would include some consideration for the high risk populations. 85% of people who are positive are asymptomatic. EIGHTY FIVE PERCENT! So how hard is it to wear a mask if you have to interact with someone else if it means people can go back to work and live their lives? It is so simple; keep a distance from others, wear a mask in groups, wash your hands, carry hand sanitizer and use it a lot!

Just be a decent human being.

* So, my darling husband was told there was going to be a work stoppage due to a permit issue at Christmas. Literally 5 days before he was to go back to work the world went nuts. So you think you all are ready for things to open up? He has been here day after day after day since Dec 21st. He is a sweetheart, but our entire marriage has been us being apart for 3-6 months and then he is home for 2-3 weeks.

He is loud, LOUD because he is partially deaf. He is a people person and I am an introvert. He is constantly on the phone at the top of his lungs, and he snores like a freight train coming through the window. Bless his heart. I’m sure he wants to be able to go back to work as much as I want some quiet back in my life. Plus the reserves won’t last forever and our retirement already took a hit.

*Krazy Kats, I am way late to this but earlier you said your wife was at the end of her rope and there was nothing you could do to help. Well dude, just spitballing here but maybe order takeout, tell your wife that this evening is all for her and she should take a long bath with a glass of wine, or just go in her room and watch TV or go to bed early.

Meanwhile load your kids up in the car. Take them for a drive and then pick up the takeout.

Feed them, and get them ready for bed all the while leaving your wife to enjoy some peace and quiet and unwind.

Crazy, I know, but it might work to help her destress. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

* Very happy to see that the NCAA might actually let these kids make some money while they are providing us with entertainment and the universities make money off of them.

* Youth sports opening up gives me hope for college sports. Lordy please make it happen. We are not ok.

Best of luck '73. Looks like Newsom is closing down beaches and state parks on Friday. This after the scene from Newport over the weekend.

Remarkable.

So the country that didn't just take everyone's word for it and figures out their own plan may reach herd immunity in 2-3 weeks.

The WHO has been a Chinese puppet. A lot of countries, including us, put too much trust in what we learned from them.

Really odd most of yesterday was smearing the 2 doctors from the video when they're basically saying we can do what Sweeden did or should be looking that way.
