I’ve heard Matt mention on ksr several times that restaurants and other businesses are going to be slow to open because they don’t want to get sued for giving someone the virus, but how tf are you going to be able to prove where someone got a f*cken virus?? Obviously I’m a horticulture/Demolition ball and am way outside my area here, but that seems like the type of lawsuit that would get dismissed pretty quickly, right? If not, why aren’t people suing Kroger’s, Walmart’s, gas stations, etc like crazy??

Because Kroger is the 17th largest company in the US, is self-insured, and will crush the lawsuits with its legal team and paper trail.

“KLAW Redux” wouldn’t have the horses to defend KSR Cafe.

If we take drastic efforts to curtail this (which I agree with) and nothing crazy happens pandemic-wise, both sides will declare victory and it will be annoying as hell.

Those who thought it would be a catastrophe: “We saved the world!”

Those who have been brushing it off: “See...it was just the liberal media hyping this up!”

And here we go...

Speaking of sports.... in between all my psycho MSM rants on Twitter, I found a NYT ([sick]) link talking about Villanova's MBB Jeremiah Robinson-Earl withdrawing from the Draft and deciding to come back for sophomore year...

Villanova has not had a one-and-done player under Coach Jay Wright, and the program will not have one this year, either. In fact, the program’s last one was Tim Thomas, who was taken seventh in 1997, and that was even before the N.B.A.’s so-called one-and-done rule went into effect, in 2006. It required players to be 19 and at least one year removed from their graduating high school class to enter the draft.

That's pretty amazing considering Villanova's success. They've averaged 26 wins a year since the O&D rule was adopted in 2006. I know this program is an outlier but it definitely breaks up the MUST HAVE ELITE TALENT narrative to be consistently great program...

Effing LOVE Jay Wright. Man.

Agree but I’m not sure BBN would be cool with all his NCAA faceplants through the years.

Not that there wouldn't be an attorney try...but causation would be almost impossible to prove. I think it would have to be on a grand-scale. Like "store A ignored CDC guidelines and their employees got sick at a percentage greater than the general public or like kind businesses".

On a single case basis, good luck.

- My inside sales guy is freaked the F out over the mask thing. He ordered enough for the whole crew at the office and swears he is fighting anyone that won’t wear it.

intentionally f’ing with the dude I refuse to wear them starting May 10 for the same reason I don’t wear them today, I DON’T HAVE TO!!!

OL Boy is ready to throw down and is too easily triggered.

- Fianally a break in the action at work, but it all starts up again come Thursday.

- I’ve tried so many new places around Louisville during this shut down, but the one spot that stood out the most has easily been Louie’s off Poplar Level. Those wings are fantastic, the BBQ and Ribs are are as well, even the hot chicken stuff is great.

- Speaking of local food, glad to see Barry’s get absolutely hammered yesterday on their first day back being open.

- I don’t know **** about real beer, but the folks that put together the barrel pick also bought the barrel and we left 12-15 ounces in it so they can age some kind of stout beer in the toasted barrels for about a year.

Pretty cool, and kind of excited about trying that.

- With the new house, a 6 month old and a 3 yr old while being a teacher for our oldest 2, my wife has hit the wall. I mean done! Being married to me can’t help either because I honestly don’t know what to do to help.

I can’t send her for a mani/pedi, to get her hair done, a massage, a dinner date with girl friends......there is absolutely nothing to do to get her a legit break.

Andy better get his **** together because I can’t be the only one with a wife at the end of her rope here!

- Does golf need a crowd to watch live in order to have its “season” going? Put something on my TV please.

- I think I got caught up on shipping yday, and I even got Adrian a bottle from the barrel pick which is barrel proof. Thanks for the support fellas, and hope you enjoy the below retail juice!

Sounds like we should find out what prevents the virus from spreading a place like Cracker Barrel and see if we can reverse engineer whatever is magically happening there, since it works for the majority.

330 Waffle Houses opened back up in GA....if their staff can police social distancing and safety, then this country is ready to roll.

Where’s Matt Jones? Would like to know if he thinks Andy has messed up on blaming Mr. Shakur for why thousands still are waiting on a check? Should he issue public apology? Easier to blame someone besides yourself I suppose. If Trump did this he would immediately be called a racist and it would be labeled an example of systemic racism.

You really typed out this whole post and hit the post reply button. Calm down and be happy.

Always important to remember that those models that said millions/hundreds of thousands would die and the hospitals would be overrun actually took social distancing and whatnot into consideration.

So I’m friends with a rather popular photographer that stirred the pot a bit on the Facebook. He posted a joke meme:

Girl be like’ “I know my worth.”

Yeah, $8.99 a month on onlyfans.com

The reaction has been entertaining to say the least.

One model basically drew the ire of many saying it was beneath her, and she would never do it. And that got the hens a clucking.

“Girl I make 40k a month off this, and I don’t show nudity or sex.”

“Congrats on your money, you’re a ho.”

Really kind of begs the question, what is the “spectrum of decency?”

model, instaho, nude model, stripper, porn star?

At least 4 of these will be routinely f'd up by people.

Here are a few pointers for putting on and taking off a cloth mask:

  • Place your mask over your mouth and nose.
  • Tie it behind your head or use ear loops and make sure it's snug.
  • Don't touch your mask while wearing it.
  • If you accidentally touch your mask, wash or sanitize your hands.
  • Remove the mask by untying it or lifting off the ear loops without touching the front of the mask or your face.
  • Wash your hands immediately after removing your mask.
  • Regularly wash your mask with soap and water in the washing machine. It's fine to launder it with other clothes

I do find it interesting that with all the “free” material on the inter webs that people pay for no nudity or sex...but hey, it’s a free country, so long as you wear your mask.

Haven't found a nationwide set of COVID-19 stats that parses down to cases and deaths per age group (admittedly didn't look very long), but Colorado's statistics can't be a complete outlier from the nationwide mean:
  • Total cases: 13,879
  • Total deaths: 706
  • Total cases as a percentage (age 60+): 30.9% (or 4,289 cases)
  • Total deaths as a percentage (age 60+): 90.9% (or 642 deaths)
90% of the deaths in Colorado are from individuals who are 60+, and 52.8% are individuals who were 80+. Many (most) of those deaths coming from cases in nursing homes or senior living facilities.

I was all for social-distancing, flattening the curve, not overwhelming the medical system, etc., etc., etc. Now that we have actual data to create projections, instead of initial models that were off by at least 300% (ahem, IMHE), it's clear that your federal, state, and local governments should be directing resources and efforts into mitigating the at-risk population.

This video has been pulled a couple times and cited "medical misinformation".

These are DRs using data that is more current than the **** models we started with and they're disseminating medical misinformation. Don't watch if you think that we need to shut down more or for longer because you will probably disagree with everything they did.

You can go into a Costco, but you can’t go into Cafe Rio. There is no scientific basis for this. May be other factors, but it’s not science.

I mean, he ain’t wrong.
