^for all your *american made* mask needs.

-i've been wearing a mask when i go inside businesses, when a project *requires* use(hospital). Im healthy...but have seasonal allergies/sinus issues that cause issues similar to the covid. Dont wanna be that asymptomatic/mildly sick sumbatch that causes someone else to get seriously ill.

We’ve had wear masks to go into any business for a month now. Surprised with all the precautions in Kentucky that wasn’t one of them yet. I just rock a buff wherever I go so I always have one. Actually have a tan line on my neck at this point from wearing it every day.

One of my wife’s friends is making Lilly Pullitzer masks. That broad is going to r a k e

I’m enjoying the Jordan/bulls doc as much as the next guy, but super nerd sportswriter tripping over him/herself to explain how they are the biggest Jordan fan of all time is getting a little nauseating. We get it, Norlander. You liked Michael Jordan growing up. How unique!!

It’s a good documentary and I’m happy as hell to watch it but I haven’t experienced anything truly groundbreaking yet. It’s not the OJ doc, for instance.

Under OSHA’s respiratory protection standard (29 CFR 1910.134), an employer must provide appropriate respirators, such as facemasks, to employees when such equipment is necessary to protect the health of the employees.

If an employer requires its employees to wear facemasks, the masks must be National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH)-approved and used in the context of a comprehensive, written respiratory protection program that includes fit-testing, training, and medical exams. The appropriate form of mask/respirator will depend on the type of employee exposure and on the transmission pattern of COVID-19.

-Picked up several hundred reusable 'Murican made masks 3 weeks ago when this same thing was suggested during one of the political advertisement hours.

-You can also wear masks into large corporate retail stores anytime you want. They haven't missed a beat. So if you're in need of really cheap textiles, just pop on that mask and stroll on in. We'll let you know when it's safe to visit a local retailer. If you're an outrider you can wear a mask and work safely in Arkansas, Nebraska and Florida. We're running out of procedures to implement, then re-implement, then repeat, then call them a "choice" but heavily suggested.

-Rode through the BCTC testing site yesterday on my nice lil ride, good to see they have a prominent media staging area setup. SMH.

-Haven't heard much fodder on our Midwest treaty.

-Happy to read bike sales are way up. Never a bad time to pick up a great hobby.

-Ron, what was your business? Can't recall. Congrats on being deemed safe and responsible enough to operate.

-I tell you who's not giving up Eastern LL. That's one determined group. NBA, MLB, PGA, NFL, College Football could learn a thing or two from these folks. This season is happening.

-Speaking of social media ads, The Peach Truck is popping up on FB aggressive af. Here take my money and send me peaches.

How in the hell are you supposed to wear a face mask inside a restaurant while eating?

If a very high percentage of COVID carriers are asymptomatic, then what is the point of the temperature checks? I guess it doesn’t hurt, but does it really make a difference?

If masks are necessary to prevent the spread of the disease, then why haven’t they been mandatory for the past 7 weeks?

Why is Wal Mart allowed to sell toys and not a local small business toy store? Is that small business not capable of applying the same social distancing standards as a larger more corporate store?

So many inefficiencies and unanswerable questions here.

I believe the mask is for every part but eating: waiting to be seated, chatting, using the restroom, etc. Most time in a restaurant isn’t spend eating, there’s an efficiency to it.

Temperature checks are a failsafe against ********/ people who are delirious enough to not realize they’re sick when they’re shedding the most. There’s an efficiency to having a decentralized temperature check to start everyone’s day at their workplace / otherwise in public.

Healthcare has been scrambling to get masks for the past seven weeks. Now that they have enough, normal people can buy them. There was an efficiency to getting PPE set for healthcare first.

Big box stores have a scale that makes it easier to monitor more people all at once. There’s an absolute efficiency in this.

All answerable.

*Have been thinking of starting over with just about everything in my golf bag for some time. Just havent been playing much and never pulled the trigger. Been rotating two sets of irons for almost 10 years and I doubt new irons will be that big of a difference but driver and other metal technology is far beyond what it was when i started playing my current setup. For someone that doesnt hit the ball far, an extra few yards would be welcomed.

*Homeland series finale was pretty good. Wont go down as an all-timer series like it couldve been- but it was worth seeing it through to the end. Most thankful that I dont have to watch annoying Claire Danes anymore.

*I watched Ballers when it first came out- got through a couple of seasons before it lapsed on my show list. Tried to pick it back up again but after season 2 it got really bad. Once you get beyond the intro- its corny as hell.

*Went with the plain white cloth masks.

*This New England kicker with the white nationalist group tattoo is probably regretting the decision to put that on an entirely visible area. He should fit in well in the locker room.

*Sounds like we are going back to on-site work beginning Thursday- which is fine or whatever. I can do 90% of my job remotely- so in lieu of my large raise that I was promised in February, which was later withdrawn in March- I will probably tell them i'll continue to work from home at least half the time. At least gas is cheap for the commute.

*Watched the 1985 Live Aid concert on Youtube and went down a wormhole of concerts from that era. The crowds are probably the best part. Absolutely packed, screaming every word... makes for a great visual.

Lawyers. DOL website says if a company isn't adhering to the cares act, don't call us, file a lawsuit. So if someone can trace getting the virus to a restaurant Chase is going to subpoena the bookings for that night and figure out if there's 27% occupancy.

Health Inspectors or Fire Marshall probably check restaurants if their occupancy is temporarily reduced.

Finally, OSHA.

Call me if you get any kind of harassing communications from @_Chase_ .

1. Drinking? Talking? Eye rolling? If they can't be opened safely without masks, leave them closed, and open **** that can be.
2. It's 100% CYA.
3. The masks being suggested have been available since day 1 and are no use to healthcare.
4. In no way can a Big Box store monitor employees or customers more closely than a small retailer. That's ridiculous.

So actually, no.

Mayor Bill de Blasio aught taking a stroll in crowded park, but hey everyone stay indoors because he told you too:
———————————————————————
Is this move by New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio the “epitome of non-essential travel”?

A video has emerged of a New Yorker ripping the Big Apple’s leader over the weekend after he traveled 12 miles away from his home in Manhattan during the coronavirus outbreak to take a stroll with his wife at Prospect Park – a popular green space in Brooklyn.

“Seriously you guys have a park, you live in the middle of a park,” the man said to De Blasio, referring to the mayor’s residence of Gracie Mansion, which is already within the confines of another park in Manhattan.

“Come on guys, give it a break,” the mayor is heard saying in response through his face mask.

“I’m not going to give it a break!” the man snaps back. “This is selfish behavior! This is so terribly selfish, you call yourself a progressive, but you chauffeur yourself to Brooklyn, you force people to drive you.

“This is ridiculous,” he added. “This is the epitome of non-essential travel.”

At one point, one of the mayor's aides tries to stop the man from following De Blasio and his wife, but he tells the aide she is getting too close to him and therefore is not following social distancing guidelines.

When folks go to a nice restaurant they usually have a few cocktails and apps before even looking at a menu. So an hour + of having a mask off, yukking it up, backslapping and moving throughout the establishment before what you deem is the least time consuming part of the event. Don't think that piece of cotton across ones face for the 15 minutes they wait is going to save the day.

All of these measures are for the majority, not the minority:

Most people don’t go to nice restaurants, they go to Cracker Barrel

The cotton masks were available from day one, but if they told people that masks would work, more people would’ve bought up the higher quality masks.

The big box scale isn’t for easier monitoring by employees. It’s for easier monitoring of the business in one shot.

What is the goal?

Was the goal to flatten the curve? Or is the goal to prevent everyone from getting the virus (unrealistic)?

Outside of nursing home numbers (which have been in quarantine over a month) in Kentucky haven't we accomplished flattening the curve? Wouldn't that continue if we maintained social distancing practices with businesses opening under CDC guidelines and put a crap ton of time and money into protecting these really vulnerable residential and health care facilities?

I just hope Anth dresses like he is visiting a nuclear waste site the first meal he goes out to eat because I'm positive the guy fixing his steak to perfection along with juggling 15 other orders in a hot kitchen is exhibiting perfect PPE practices.

Where’s Matt Jones? Would like to know if he thinks Andy has messed up on blaming Mr. Shakur for why thousands still are waiting on a check? Should he issue public apology? Easier to blame someone besides yourself I suppose. If Trump did this he would immediately be called a racist and it would be labeled an example of systemic racism.

Sounds like we should find out what prevents the virus from spreading a place like Cracker Barrel and see if we can reverse engineer whatever is magically happening there, since it works for the majority.

Speaking of sports.... in between all my psycho MSM rants on Twitter, I found a NYT ([sick]) link talking about Villanova's MBB Jeremiah Robinson-Earl withdrawing from the Draft and deciding to come back for sophomore year...

Villanova has not had a one-and-done player under Coach Jay Wright, and the program will not have one this year, either. In fact, the program’s last one was Tim Thomas, who was taken seventh in 1997, and that was even before the N.B.A.’s so-called one-and-done rule went into effect, in 2006. It required players to be 19 and at least one year removed from their graduating high school class to enter the draft.

That's pretty amazing considering Villanova's success. They've averaged 26 wins a year since the O&D rule was adopted in 2006. I know this program is an outlier but it definitely breaks up the MUST HAVE ELITE TALENT narrative to be consistently great program...

Effing LOVE Jay Wright. Man.

Ironically, his wife owned Alfalfas, which closed after 47 years at the beginning of the shut down.

I drove by 3 testing sites yesterday. 2 of them were empty except for the workers and the other site had 2 cars.

But we need more testing!!!! From everything I’ve read and seen, if you want to get tested, there is plenty of capacity to do so.

We need more ventilators!!! How am I supposed to pick and choose which 4000 people will live and let 26,000 people die!!!!! How dare you!

-not a slam on Joey because i know what he does for a living and its useful/important/cool but...

...ive noticed a direct correlation between made-up horse **** corporate/consultancy verbage and the usefulness and/or efficacy of those that use it in relation to the accomplishment of the task at hand.
