-We're at the point it's getting hard to find reliable data because it's all political bs. Only 3 weeks, so, yippee.

-I get that it's serious and not a HOAX but we should also realize we're staring at a daily tally of deaths that we don't do for any other illness, accident, or crime.

-Predictable but the SBA loans are a mess. No one knows when they're available, who will get them, what you will actually get back, or how it will even work. K.

-Tiger v Phil with Manning and Brady seems cool. Longer this stretches with no crowds or sports the more sports will try to innovate to get anything out there. Just keep the horses running.

-Richards' stock falling? Not in the SI top 60(Quick at 37 fwiw). Man, that would be the a surprise if we got the big guy back similar to Azabuike. He'd dominate.

-Little man up at 3a last night and couldn't get back to sleep until about 4:30. Not good.

-Haven't maxed out since college. Recently worked out with 90LB dumbbells. 4 sets 15-20 reps. Or floor bench press at 225 8-10 reps depending on what I've done prior to this. Tweaked neck and corona probably lost a bit of that.

-Virtual bourbon tasting?

I asked them about going tankless, but they didn't recommend it because it's much more expensive for the heater and the especially the install. He said they could also leak (although Google tells me that is MUCH MUCH less likely). Maybe he just didn't want to deal with it, I don't know. It's a reputable plumbing business here in town, so I just trusted them to put in what would be best because I'm a stupid loser idiot who doesn't know anything.

When my ceilings fall in I'll insist on it next time.

Pioneer Woman is absolutely crushing it right now.

She’s my current #1 on the “to be quarantined with” list.

I'm obviously no doctor or medical professional, but I'll tell you one thing I'm disappointed about regarding the 'rona: it's that nobody in the world seems to be able to run a reliable study regarding treatments. Take hydroxychloroquine for example. My gosh, give it to the next 200 people who walk through the door who test positive for Coronavirus and compare that to the next 200 people from a hospitals where no such treatment is provided. Then compare the difference. It's not a perfect study, but damn, it should give an inkling of whether there are noticeable benefits.

Same for me as far as being a medical anything, and those in this thread who are professionals can correct or help refine what I'm saying, but I was reading a bit on this last night and I think part of the problem is that different people's bodies respond to some treatments differently. It's the same reason we don't have a definitive treatment across the board for cancer. In some people a treatment might be very effective and in others, not so much.

Couple that with the limited resources, limited tests, the turnaround time on the tests, and the wide spectrum of symptoms (or lack thereof.) and doing a controlled study isn't as simple as we might think.*

*All of this could be ********, but I did read it on the internet, so you should probably take it as fact.

I haven’t really seen this specifically answered, but where, exactly, are ALL THE ******** TESTS?

I mean, seriously, it is preposterous that we are so far behind the curve on f*cking testing.

Every day I hear about some new bad *** test that never seems to make it here, and no stories about ramping up production of said tests. And then I see other countries just testing the absolute f*ck out of people.

What in the hell are we doing here? Get busy dickheads.

Matt Jones comes off as a whiny ***** on twitter.

Will he survive a Mitch McConnell win? It's coming regardless of who was/is running against him.

The problem with tests is the Well But Worried Issue. Unless we have enough tests for literally everyone, it would be stupid to start testing the people who ask because you're going to have a flood of hypochondriacs waste them.

- Only Auburn or LSU would still have Wade as head coach after all this. I’d think it was funny if the SOB wasn’t still a threat for recruits we want.

- Working from Home 5:

When the Stars Go Blue- Ryan Adams
And It’s All Right - Nathaniel Ratliff
Future Days- Pearl Jam
Off This Mountaintop - Ian Noe
Guess I’m Doing Fine- Beck

- Had been having this unsubstantiated feeling for the last half year or so that everything was running too smoothly and our economy had to have a dip coming.

- There’s only one truly attractive regular on Vanderpump Rules- Ariana. On a show about LA. How’s this possible?

- The grocery stores are back to being manageable. Baby steps.

- It’s “ignore” season on these NBA decisions. Rumors contradict each other daily.

- Have received some Facetimes from old buddies. How often does that happen? My wife has friends all over the country and speaks to them each regularly. I never speak to anyone besides in gyero, making plans to meet up or random texts about sports or something funny.

So props to women on that. Howevah, when women don’t catch up regularly, they immediately seem to feel the distance- “Haven’t talked to Heather in almost a month. We’re just not as close anymore.”

Meanwhile, without pause, I had no issue asking buddies I hadn’t spoken to in a year to be in my wedding. Guys don’t seem to feel distance. We pick right up.

Last week my wife called and said a pipe upstairs had burst and water was pouring into the garage ceiling. So I told her to turn the water off, left my office (because I’m essential) and rushed home. Checked the upstairs, no water. Cut a big hole in the garage ceiling, no water. I told her to turn the water back on. Turns out, the expansion tank on the water heater had burst so it was shooting water up at the ceiling. I went to Lowe’s, picked up the coronavirus and a new expansion tank and had it replaced myself in less than 20m. Still got a hole in my garage ceiling tho

If you need a test you can get one. TS. They just don't want every Karen and Doug running down there b/c they have a runny nose.

Can you imagine being stuck on one of these cruise ships banished to your tiny *** room the entire time? My god what a nightmare.

Pretty much like being in the slammer only with mid century modern furnishings and slightly better bathroom facilities, I would imagine ...

-Jurich era UL.

-A correction was coming and certainly needed. Could've done without the pandemic and confined to my house with no entertainment global shut down.

-Yep, baby steps is right. Going to be a long haul before life gets back to normal and anxiety is lowered.

-Went fishing with my college buds the weekend before covid and it was like we'd just finished Friday classes circa 2003 and headed out for a weekend road trip. Right back in the same mode. We only get together once every other year but glad we still make a point of it.

Got the Mitch please on audiobook (I commute a lot).

Not sure I’m gonna be able to listen to 17 hours about how much Matt hates Mitch, county by county.

He was correct. They are an option for new construction, but not for replacement. They require alot more electric, so you have to run wire from the unit to the panel, not easy in a finished house. And they can't use the existing venting, so you have to run a new vent.
As mentioned, hot water heaters in attics aren't a good idea for this reason, and because it's not a conditioned space and therefore susceptible to freeze. But since it's already there, having a secondary drain pan underneath is cheap and solves this problem.

Why would anyone get on a ******* cruise ship with everything going on, and ESPECIALLY after watching that ship float off the coast of California for a month? I don’t get it. I understand some of the ships may have been out on longer cruises, but most of them not.

Venting out an attic is easy as is getting a circuit to one. Assuming his existing WH is probably electric so wouldn't need a vent and probably not electric. Secondary drain pan only holds so much water and when hot turn into a flimsy mess. It's more expensive but much nicer and less likely to cause the mess he just experienced.

But yeah, if they put a standard back up there make sure they 1. put a pan and run a good drain line 2. you can buy a honeywell water sensor detector for pretty cheap. So if you're out of town and it happens you'll get an alert and not return to a ruined house and mushroom farm growing off your walls.
