* Two major changes in talent discrepancy even over a period as short as 5 years....

1> everyone is recruiting one-and-dones. we're not ahead of the curve anymore.
2> the script has been flipped. the best players, by and large, are upperclassmen.

* I have almost no hope for returning a solid lineup next basketball season, and the reason is pretty simple -- too much time off. Remember when your teacher would have to step out of the classroom for like 3 minutes for some random reason, and basically begged the room to behave in her absence? That 180 seconds would turn into complete chaos. This offseason reminds of that. The longer we go without college basketball, the crazier things will be, and the less likely these guys are to return, imo.

* New Orleans is the explosive new epicenter of the pandemic, and we're actually shutting down 2 of the 3 drive thru testing sites. Why? Lack of demand. Sickening. I don't care how healthy you are --> go get your test, people.

* Tiger and Phil are working on a rematch:

https://bleacherreport.com/articles...orking-on-potential-showdown-with-tiger-woods

The sports world better start giving us something. This is ridiculous. Give me a game of horse with NBA old timers. A match play showdown between two PGA stars putting their own money on the line. An e-gaming tournament between NFL players. Something.

* Got my negative COVID-19 test yesterday, which leaves only tommyg in GYERO as a dirty, nasty, filthy, disease ridden , virus carrying *****. I'm surprised, too. Not gonna lie.

* Never thought I'd enjoy going for walks quite as much as I do. Gonna put in a leisurely stroll to Audubon Park and back later today, which is my 5 mile route. Pop in a Joe Rogan podcast and enjoy a couple hours of peace.

We have a lot at play here for next year.

1. Covid uncertainty and will there even be a season.
2. Immediate transfer rule voted on this summer and likely to be passed.
3. Mass transfers already in the portal. Believe we're at 600.
4. We've seen already underclassmen around the country are fine with going 2nd Rd and undrafted so another mass exodus of college talent.
5. Coaches unable to recruit or be around the players to squash all the people in their ears.

The Harrison’s weren’t overrated. They were just really good college players. Not elite nba prospects and guess what? That’s ok. Not everybody is John wall. The problem is nobody told them that. That’s been the problem for years now with multiple players.

Pretty much the root of the issue with the entire program, imo.

We apparently teach kids they were born on third and that they hit a triple.

I’m no CovidBall, ok- maybe I am.

I tested positive and I believe I’m out of the woods finally. Thankfully.

I am the beasts’ favorite dish:

Male
Northern Italian genetics
Type A blood
Chunky
50
HBP
Delicious

I spontaneously lost all sense of smell & taste about 2.5 weeks ago, before it was even a recognized symptom. I couldn’t get a test without another telltale symptom of fever or coughing. After reading up, I thought I was one of those asymptomatic cases (possibly). This went on, and on.

Then Friday. Was working from home around 3, got a chill - then an immediate fever spike to 103°, heart rate up to 150, chills. Went to ER, swollen glands... tested, IV bagged and isolated. Lactic acid bangin, white blood cell count over 18000 couldn’t control fever with Tylenol drip.

Chest X-ray and CT w/contrast negative for pneumonia. < as soon as my temps and levels came down, I requested to be discharged before results of Covid test came in. I didn’t want further exposure. They started me on the Hydroxychloroquine/Zpack cocktail on Saturday.

Fevers persisted - weird chest pains and pressures.

results came in yesterday that I am positive. Wife kids and I are under strict lockdown quarantine.

Personally, and it may be a panacea, but I felt like I was being feasted upon until I took the fish tank cleaner... If this **** entered my lungs, I was toast.

I feel ok, albeit beaten up. Don’t get it.

Bourbon and cooking is about all I got, and I still can’t smell or taste anything:(.

How about a ruthless defensive killer like Liggins? A guy that could lock down an opponents best guard / wing and completely change the complexion of a game without having to score.

DO THE JOHN WALL NOW DO THE JOHN WALL NOW DO THE JOHN WALL NOW

Liggins certified DAWG CAT 4 LIFE.

-at a minimum, china needs to stop receiving benefits of being called a "developing economy" by the wto and such. They also need to be made to comply with "1st world" environmental regs...and we nwed to boot them out of our institutions of higher learning. "Confucius Institute" is cover for stealing intellectual property *at best*...and more likely a base for spying/subterfuge.
.

Read something that said allowing China in WHO allowed all the medical/rx manucturing to be shipped to them. Regretting that decision along with what Rudd says above.

Did they mention if they've been giving everyone this? Down here (at the moment) it's reserved for the critically ill patients. Glad you're doing well!

Strange you spiked a white count, many patients actually have low counts.

The neutropenic patients die.

The ACR came out and said it does not recommend CT scanning everyone with Covid symptoms. The Chinese were scanning everyone and showed a pattern that was characteristic but not specific, but were using this in lieu of testing...so maybe this contributed to cooking the books as well.

There has also been a trend noticed of trying to avoid using IV contrast with potential Covid patients as it appears to be more nephrotoxic in these patients.

A lot of other patients are not short of breath but hypoxic, with O2 sats around 94% on room air.

I asked about me going on Plaquenil and doc said I already have you on it. Got a script from local CVS for 10 pills - $2.50.

FDA doLing that **** like candy in Bergen Co NJ. Triaging hotspots maybe.

Don't have ESPN but apparently the normal agents aren't worried about giving incoming players draft feedback they're concerned with current NBA players and their issues leading these guys to deal with advice from non NCAA approved agents. Meaning they might be breaking rules unknowingly and be forced to enter.

Players not knowing which leagues will be open and when, wishy washy rules on eligibility, leagues folding, calendars getting moved around and pushed back....

....my goodness. I've read several books about the early days of pro baseball, and we're living that all over again.

Still waiting to hear if Old Hoss Radbourn is gonna make the switch to basketball, trim his list down to a top 5 (I'm hearing he's a Duke lean), or move to Japan to play with a barnstorming league.
